Quite a stunning comeback from Valencia last night against Basel. 3-0 down from the first leg and managed to win 5-0 at the Mestalla. Hoping to see Juventus v Benfica and Sevilla v Valencia in the semi finals.

That maybe true. Their results have been poor since winning the League Cup but their performances under Monk have been better than their results have suggested. By no means it would be an easy game or foregone conclusion.

Wouldn't want Atletico TBH. Prefer to face a team that already has a set style of play and that would make it a tad easier to take them on as we know what to expect from these teams. With Atletico though, we won't quite know. They have high levels of energy, stamina, capable of aggressive pressing etc but also a bit reactive in a way to the opposition they faced. And comparing them with PSG, would say Simeone and Atletico are a tad more streetwise than Blanc and his team.

That is a valid concern given our results against the lesser teams but would like to think we are still strong enough at the Bridge to beat Sunderland and we'll likely need to be patient in breaking them down. Gus Poyet has played with a back 5 recently away to Liverpool and Spurs.

By the way, our semi final games are on either side of the league game at Anfield. This is going to be tough, if it wasn't already!

Right. Back to league action and it's time we sort out our away form and poor record at Swansea in the last two seasons!

Absolutely delighted that we are now in the semi finals. Would have been a travesty had we not qualified for the last 4 especially when PSG looked so ordinary over the two legs and did nothing that their hype as well as talent suggested they can. They may have a better team but Napoli caused us far more problems in both games two seasons ago.

Not sure if anyone realized but if Barcelona and Bayern Munich win tonight, the teams in the last 4 will be the same as two seasons ago - Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barca and Bayern. Not really. We can practically even just draw our way to the trophy.

The draw for the semi finals will be on this Friday at 11am UK time.

We may not be an all conquering team like Barcelona or Bayern (for now at least) but having Mourinho is one of the reasons why others should not underestimate us in any situation. His meticulous preparation, tactical nous and the know-how is second to none and this is not even mentioning Mourinho is capable of getting players in the right state mentally and emotionally. He's one of the few managers around today that knows how to win leagues and navigating through cup ties especially in Europe. 8 semi final appearances in 10 Champions League campaigns for Mourinho is no small feat.
