Would like to think that there are still people in this world that find some things are more important than money (or maybe I'm just naive to think so). I'm not sure how strong are our interests on Shaw but would like to think we are interested a bit at the very least in signing him. Despite his claims about being a Chelsea fan and all that, he does seem pretty desperate to join United and join them because of the huge wages being offered. While I do agree slightly he may choose to accept this offer because it may never happen again if something bad happens but if you are a footballer with the potential to be one of the best in the game and have the confidence to realize that potential, would you really be concern about wages right now? Because if he continues to play well and develop himself and become a world class player, then sooner or later, he will receive that high wage anyway.

Indeed. Would like to give him another opportunity next season to see if last season's rubbishness was just him going through a bad patch. Can understand all the frustrations (as I too have complained about it) because when he's bad, he's really bad with all his deficiencies getting exposed but like you said, on his day, Ramires is extremely useful and good. We have all praised him for his performances before, let's not forget that.

If you're gonna suggest putting a high figure clause in Hazard's contract just so other clubs won't be able to get him, we might as well just slap a 999 999 999 million amount as the clause! Don't get the point of putting in clauses anyway. Without it, at least we can control and demand whatever we want if other clubs want to buy a particular player. By having a clause (even if it's a lot!), you're practically restricting yourself and keeping your options limited.

Inclined to agree with you but in City's case, it kinda helped when Jovetic was out injured 3 quarter of the time, Aguero about half of it and Negredo losing his form after Christmas. Would have been a different case for Pellegrini to handle had all been fit and firing for him. With us having 3 strikers, think it needs to be 2 really good ones and 1 average striker. Gonna be tough otherwise unless Mourinho decides to play them out wide like he did at Inter when he had Eto'o, Milito, Pandev and Balotelli.

Slightly disagree with that. Yes, Hazard can do what you said there but it only works (at least for us) when we're playing on the counter and against teams like Guardiola's Bayern when they press, play a high line and leave spaces to be exploited. Considering we often face teams that just defend more than attack against us, there will hardly be any space and time for Hazard to operate and do his best when opponents clog up the midfield and make it congested. Furthermore, if we play him in the middle this way, we won't even be exploiting his physical abilities to the max and that is his acceleration and pace to commit players from out wide.
