I don't think we missed a trick with that United game at all last season. On hindsight, yes it looked that way but at that point of time, who thought United were going to regress so badly under Moyes? Both of us started the campaign well back then but neither side was fully settled under a new manager yet. The approach, based on the situation then, was justifiable. It only looked and felt painful we dropped points there because of what happened to united after that. Had we played them away in October or later, I'm sure the approach would have been different altogether as they were there for the taking.

I would really like it if those that said Bertrand doesn't have the quality or is not the required level to play for us, can actually pin-point exactly why he can't play for us at all (taking out the factor whether Mourinho fancies him or not) and expand on it. Seen too often people throw that around without explaining in detail and just because he isn't some fanciful left-back. Attacking wise he's decent and like Choo Choo said above, Bertrand has never looked out of place defensively when playing for us apart from the Shakhtar game where he was left to defend that left flank all by himself.

Dortmund's defending has been a debacle in the league. It's incredible how easy they are letting oppositions score goals against them. Watching them at times, it feels even more pathetic and ridiculous than Liverpool and Arsenal.

Sporting Lisbon drew 1-1 with Porto in their league game tonight. They dominated the first half before Porto took controlled of the second. That draw is Sporting's fifth 1-1 draw in seven matches in all competitions this season. Still unbeaten though as the other two games ended in 1-0 and 4-0 wins.

That's not what I have in mind from what I remember. But I'll hold my hands up if you can provide a detailed stats of his shooting against Bolton; on/off target, saves and blocks made against him. True but think we all know that's not exactly his position, no? It may have been annoying for some to see take 10+ shots versus Bolton without scoring but it's only one game. People are reacting as if he has been doing this in every game or alternate matches.

It was only a few, not most. Yes but who on earth thought the goalkeeper would suddenly turn into a superhuman and start saving shots after shots (not just talking about those from Schurrle)? Moreover, it's not like the shots were comfortable in any way for the goalkeeper to save, instead we actually worked and forced him to make some really good ones.
