  1. Not surprised to see RDM has replaced Jens Keller at Schalke but in relation to the Champions League group, not sure if that's a good thing. That aside, good to see RDM back in management. Shame we've played Schalke at home. Let's see if he has learned from past mistakes.

  3. Arsenal undone by Chelsea’s use of wide men and Eden Hazard’s control

  6. Welbeck's challenge was more of blatant red card than Cahill's. The latter went in hard with his tackle yes but neither of his studs or even boots made contact with Sanchez, unlike Welbeck's.
  7. Having watched highlights a few times, how on earth did Martin Atkinson not send Welbeck off for that two-footed challenge on Fabregas is beyond me!
  8. United have been rubbish for much of this season and yet they are only 3 points behind City in the table...
  9. Mourinho's reaction to that Costa open goal miss.
  10. Five of our league fixtures between December and January have been moved for live TV coverage - Newcastle, Stoke, West Ham, Southampton and Tottenham. http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2014/Oct%2014/five-games-moved-for-tv.html
  11. No, he wasn't. It only looked that because he missed chances in those chances. Had he scored a few in there, no one would have said anything or thought his performances were really bad. People that said Willian should have started in place of him seems to have forgotten that only 2 weeks ago, he had a nightmare at City.
  12. It's an insult to compare him to Davy Jones, or any other character from POTC for that matter.

  14. Graeme Souness got it spot on here - "great game management". We didn't allow Arsenal to get into their rhythm with clever tactical fouls and closed down the spaces/gaps as a unit and forced them into long shots. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/29326/9505737/chelsea-v-arsenal-victorious-blues-in-complete-control-says-gary-neville Jamie Carragher also alluded to our game management point against Liverpool at Anfield last season. Gotta love our streetwise-ness in big games.
  15. Obviously not yet then. We just entered October!
  16. I have no problems whatsoever with how Mourinho approaches the big games but it's funny how you said we played attacking football against Arsenal, when we didn't do that. We hardly produced much going forward and relied on two moment of individual brilliance to win the game. It was almost similar to the City game - we were measured and streetwise enough to control the match against Arsenal and took the chances that came our way.
  17. They have. As pointed out by ReddishBlue above, Costa won the August Player of the Month while Garry Monk won the Manager of the Month. And funnily enough, Swansea haven't won a league game since Monk got the award.
  18. Had a quiet game but still managed to score and exquisite finish too. Felt like it has been ages since we had a striker who can still be decisive even when they are having off days in matches.
  19. It was such a gorgeous and perfectly executed pass.
  20. Mesmerizing run from Hazard and that is one of the most blatant penalties and dumbest challenge one will ever see. Was hoping Fabregas would take that penalty, if only for the fun of it.
  21. That collision was extremely nasty. Feared for his condition when he just laid like KOed person after clattering with Sanchez. Luckily he got back on afterwards and hope nothing serious comes off from the clash.
