  1. Doubted Drogba before the United game, only to then see him play 2 games in 3 days and score 2 goals in the process.
  2. Slightly disagree with that. The team we have now is different to the one we had under RDM and I'm not just talking about the players but also the setup and little details within the system. Moreover, one could also argue that some of the players and backroom staffs know how RDM works with teams, especially when it comes to organizing his side defensively.
  3. I don't normally like to shout from the rooftop about a game but god, wishing we bloody smash this lot on Saturday! Still pissed about what happened 2 seasons ago at the Bridge!!
  4. Average performance against Shrewsbury really. That being said, they gave their all but never really felt threatened. No one played well but when you have a 36-year-old, who played 180 minutes in 3 days, doing slightly better than the others, then I think that speaks volume about the rest.

  6. Doubt that is going to make much of a difference. Who's to say the foreign officials do not support an English side? Even if they don't, they'll eventually lean in favor towards a particular side after some time.

  9. That's a bit nonsensical. What does our lack of killer instinct gotta do with whether the league has poorer or not? This team may not be as good as the one from 2004 but it is still a good team and one that boast a reasonably solid defence. We are still unbeaten because of the good/great performances we have been putting in this season, not because the others have been poorer than before. The other teams arguably have better a team than they did back then and the only issue now is they aren't firing on all cylinders, with some of them still finding their feet and trying to get their season going on an upward trajectory, like City for instance.
  10. Ever since Paul Lambert signed a new 4-year contract at Aston Villa, they have lost 5 straight league games without scoring a single goal.

  15. These two screenshots may be interesting.....
  16. Notice how he tried to put his hands on the female official while trying to complain about an incident. You don't usually see managers doing that when they are moaning about something to the officials on the sideline.
  17. Southampton played well against Arsenal in the League Cup and they deserved to win that tie but let's not forget that Wenger fielded a weakened side then. Only 3-4 first choice players started that game. Like I said, I'm not taking anything away from what they have achieved this season but they have mostly beaten teams, whose level is similar to theirs, while suffering defeats against teams a level higher than them. Playing against the bigger teams in those said fixtures will tell us a lot more about them. If they can get say at least 12 points (hopefully none against us!) from those 7 games, then I would say they have done pretty well. As for that 8-0 win over Sunderland, while they were good that day, let's not forget how abysmal Poyet's men were, which made it a lot easier for Southampton. They practically handed them some of the goals.
  18. Imagine the furore if Mourinho did this... https://vine.co/v/OhLYiq6eKLF https://vine.co/v/OhLVjZYVIv2
  19. Would be surprised if they can maintain their current form for the rest of the season. Not taking anything away from what they have done so far this term but their real test will come soon. From the end of November till begining of January, they'll face Man City, Man United (twice), Arsenal (twice), Chelsea and Everton in 9 matches. Should note that while they are sitting in 2nd, they have actually lost to Liverpool and Tottenham. Think they might finish in a Europa League spot, but not Champions League.
