If that doesn't tell that the media do not like us, then I don't know what will. Appalling journalism! On the other hand, what Mourinho said in there about the spending is rather ironic. If he says that we can afford to spend like a lot because we have made a lot of money from selling players and/or securing partnership deals, then what on earth has been holding us back all summer? Why have we been so indecisive?!

That is true but then again, last season they had periods where they picked up wins despite not playing well and it didn't get them anywhere. I guess you would just expect United, after 1 season and spending more than 200m under Van Gaal, to get better but so far, they still look unimpressive as last season and lack that distinct style of play or identity, if you like, that Van Gaal has talked so much about.
