He started games early in the season but his chances soon became limited during and after the illness. If he had been fully fit and still not made the most of them, then I would have agreed with you but there were factors why he failed to perform well and consistently, including those I mentioned in the previous post before the "10-15 minutes" part.

He already looked half-arsed early on when Montero put in the cross for Swansea to equalise.

I can take your point regarding Mata and De Bruyne but not so much with Schurrle. Yes, I agree that he's inconsistent but if people can be patient with the likes of Oscar, Willian etc, then why can't they with Schurrle? He might not be talented but he has his qualities (e.g. scoring goals, which is one quality we're desperately lacking right now) and it's easy to forget that he's still young (only 25 years old - 1 year older than Oscar and 2 younger than Willian). Lets not also forget that he had that illness last season, which he and Mourinho admitted as much it affected his mental and physical fitness but we were quick to get rid of him. I don't necessarily think he wants to be an outright starter in the starting XI, like how De Bruyne wants it, but just proper game time, not 10-15 minutes here and there or 1 game here, 1 game there. With slightly better management, he wouldn't have felt unwanted and decided to leave (remember, he said he didn't want to leave the club but circumstances forced him to).

...which was caused by Mourinho's management of the squad. He was quick to dismiss them the minute they put in poor performances but he stuck with others even after poor matches. If he had shown similar faith and belief in them, they wouldn't have felt dispirited and wanted to leave the club.

When you think about it, it's funny that we had a better squad depth in 2013/14. Our options on the bench are so limited now that it's infuriating, terrifying and depressing. It feels like we're gonna experience the 2010/11 season again, not necessarily in the same manner but similar.

You're welcome.

They were on the front foot for 10-15 minutes after the red card but then decided to back off a little, probably afraid that we might score a late winner and take all the points. If Gomis wasn't so erratic up front, they could have easily won the game.

Come on Nemanja, you can't possibly be taking those posts seriously?

Arsenal will win the Champions League first before Mourinho does that...

You know, for all the good things he does for the team, I just don't get how can he get so brainless in the final third. His moves are so predictable! Never mind not scoring goals or producing assists, he hardly creates danger in/around the penalty area.

Yeah...and when Begovic makes a mistake, you would be crying over why we replaced Cech with him and saying Mourinho should have started with Courtois. You're not happy with Courtois making the mistake, we get it. None of us are but it happens and come end of the season, he will save us more times than him making mistakes.

OI STINGAY, I was just (coughalfcough) joking when I said that.

Dismissive. Clearly you didn't bother to read and understand properly the context of his comments. He didn't blame the physio for the draw.
-
-
Erm, did you actually read what he said?
-
Based on that Marca story from 2-3 days ago? That was a non-story. We haven't made a move for Koke and will not do so.

Jose Mourinho criticises Chelsea physio Eva Carneiro after Swansea draw

That is going to happen a lot, isn't it?

Swansea away maybe?

Here's a quirky fact - We haven't won a match since Yokohama Tyres became our sponsor. #BringSamsungBack

Worth pointing out that after this City match, we face West Brom at the Hawthorns, where we've lost 3 times in 4 visits...

I MISS AZPILICUETA AT RIGHT BACK!!!

It's fucking joke that the referees won't give decisions in Costa's/our favor because of his reputation. Should have gotten a few more free kicks due to someone fouling but Michael Oliver completely ignored them.

That's the most tragic thing about this. Mourinho is completely blinded by his love for Ivanovic. Pardon my memory but did Bosingwa perform as badly as Ivanovic did today?
