  1. Wow, absolutely gutted that he had to hear that today, shambolic from that person whom I wouldn't even call a fan in quotes. Talk about debbie downer on a really positive day for the club, 5k fans inside, Tuchel addressing the fans for 5 minutes on the mic, Romelu etc.
  2. Great interview so far on YouTube.
  3. I don't see Pogba as overhyped, he is what he is, a wildly inconsistent unprofessional footballer with a bad attitude - All of which is down to him, nothing else. I think of it as the same lines as Hazard, if Hazard had the mentality and attitude of Messi/Ronaldo, he'd of bagged a ton more goals, and in no way am I saying Hazard downed tools etc. what I am simply saying is that its all down to attitude. I think everybody recognises that Pogba's problem has and always will be his attitude, thats why he will never be considered a great player and always the player 'that could be'. Anyway, twittersphere reporting PSG will offer him £500pw, so he'll keep playing majestically for a time until it doesn't suit him to. ..And I also don't see Mount as underrated now, he was before, but ultimately I think he is now at the right level of praise by pundits and such.
  4. This is borderline unfair doing this on a Wednesday, we all have the homecoming-club narrative firmly in our minds, he needs to have a beast performance Sunday.
  5. Pogba can be world class, his ability is unquestionable, it has always been his attitude. If he wants to play, he will, if he doesn't then you get the lax/lazy/non-concentrating performances that we all associate him to, unless its contract time or there is interest from Madrid/PSG. Pogba is leagues above Mount in terms of ability, the difference is that one is a model professional and one isn't.
  6. Sunday cannot come quick enough!!
  7. Men against boys in the end. Wasn’t impressed with Dortmund, despite the ref, very petulant.
  8. Looking forward to playing United, he will have a point to prove.
  9. Madness, the price tag that has been put on Kane is absurd, you then allow anyone to swing it any way they want ie. 6 year contract, if Grealish is worth X then Kane is worth Y, ugh zzz. Spurs should sell him, use the money, have the other players step up and not hide in Kane's shadow. Kane is 28, gets one injury per season and isn't going to fetch a ton of money next summer after a year of sulking. It does nobody any good him staying at Spurs. City get their man, Spurs get their money and everybody wins.
  10. Find it curious how players from Arsenal have performed stellar for us, the other way round they’ve all been duds for Arsenal 😂 comedy.
  11. City really are just missing a striker....
  12. Interestingly Ake starts, looks to be a good game from the line-ups, Spurs should be competitive at least. £357m bench for City.
  13. I will say this again, Pogba is playing this way due to his contract situation. Once that is resolved, whether its staying at United or going to PSG, then he will revert back to type. His ability was never in question, his attitude has always been the issue.
  14. I was gutted when West Ham signed Benrahma, we were linked for a while.. Not so gutted anymore. Literally as I posted, he just had a shot whiz past the post, I was like:
  15. No, not through the academy, but he's been brought 'up' by the club from a young age, something we had to constantly hear we did not do. I still consider it an achievement.
  16. Each to their own, perhaps have it in mind for the next few games, there is no expectation for me to think each time he should be found, but its consistent enough for me to think "ugh Jorgi/Kova please" - Jorgi is definitely capable of playing those balls too. We agree on the second part on him doing more, there are aspects to his game which I do like, but those are attributes I'd expect of any player playing at a top level and for a top club, though you don't always get that. Timo struggles to bring the link up play with Alonso and others in that pocket of space, its incredibly frustrating. At the moment, he is the guy that makes space and wants to go in behind and/or over the top, with a workrate to match - But as I said, I really would expect that of anyone playing for us. Timo would drift to LW, RW, ST yesterday, interchanging with Puli as well, similarly who I thought had an awful game, but still managed to get on the scoresheet, silver lines and all that. Hakim has quality, no doubt, but the game almost needs to be setup for him, otherwise he looks lost and out of sorts when being asked to do the dirty work. My opinion was that if we could have found a suitable replacement then we should have moved Hakim on, just my opinion. But I cannot wait to see the left foot whips to Rom, so, I'd like to be proved wrong there.
  17. Well, if he can improve significantly I do back Mou to be able to get it out of him, attitude wise, but this all depends on Tammy for the most part. I hope we buy him back for the narrative if he turns it around completely. Confidence is a great thing, but he seemed to have such a high opinion of his abilities which simply did not exist at the higher level of play. Wish him the best.
  18. Its not just those two, but I'll get onboard with those two inparticular as well for now, though they had a good game, especially Kova, considering how concerned I was in preseason with his lack of awareness/caught in possession. I'm not doubting you watched the game, but Timo 100% did make those runs yesterday, only to have to stop in frustration, I've posted elsewhere that when this does happen he is offside or 1v1 confidence is shot, its not about pinging the blame, its observation on whats happening consistently, when it does happen, Timo needs to work on that too. ie. he was put through yesterday in the second half on the RW only to waste the shot.
