But I see this playing out like Bakayoko. Endless deal of loan where no one will buy him. 100 million down the drain.
-
I would gamble on Johnathan David. If we gamble on Lukaku, why not gamble on him? Plus he is young and can get a resale value as well.
-
Makes sense as to why we have not bought anyone. The Lukaku deal was the first thing to do. As well with the shuffle that we have going with board and everything. It's sad because instead of wasting on Lukaku we would have been getting other targets, but it is what it is. I do hope that Lukaku kills it in the Serie A like Tammy is doing so we can get some resale value on him. Broja should definitely be giving a shot before any consideration of selling. And if he don't work sell him to Serie A. That's where all our second tier is ending anyways.

Tuchel has done good as a manager in short term but I'm still not sure about his recruitment. We started bad with Luakaku, I am holding my breath to what comes next. I still say Lampard was good at spoting talent, not good as a coach. Make him our SD,

I don't want sterling. We will not be world class. But for 35million and not big wages is a good deal to me.
-
If Liverpool thought like that they would never gotten mane. Sometimes you need to take risk and this is a much better risk I like to take then the risk we took on lukaku. Worth it for me.
-
So it's going to be a player swap? I hope we push for that because a plain loan with no obligation to buy is stupid. And since some people are against Bastoni, then Skriniar it is. Let's do it Chelsea.
-
That's a low price for a top player, much better then Lukaku. Bayern does good deal while we do bad deals.
-
Tielemans to Arsenal? I remember some people wanted him at Chelsea. No longer rated highly?
-
Option to buy? They will never buy him, it will be like all the Italians did with Bakayoko. Dumb move me thinks from us.
-
If we can't find one then just do that for now. Because that was the mistake in buying lukaku when the other options was not available. Just buy winger and midfielders for now. As well CB.
-
I don't want Gabriel. For Lukaku going we will see who we can get to replace him, but not Gabriel at that price.
-
If we spend all our money on those two I have no problem. Quality instead of quantity. And no Lukaku was never quality. In theory for that money should have been Haaland.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12634587/romelu-lukaku-inter-milan-confident-of-securing-Chelsea-strikers-loan-return The clubs held further talks today over the make up of the deal. One source has told Sky Sports News there is a €5m gap between the €10m Chelsea want and the €5m Inter want to pay in a loan fee. ------------- We are asking for only 10 million and they want to pay 5 million? We are definitely run by idiots! Pay Inter 100 million and now give him back for free?

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/jun/15/inter-hold-talks-over-bringing-romelu-lukaku-back-on-loan-from-Chelsea Internazionale have started talks with Chelsea over signing Romelu Lukaku on a loan, with the striker increasingly confident his wish to join his former club will be granted. Chelsea told Lukaku last week they were prepared to let him leave and the chances of a deal going through will hinge on how much Inter are willing to pay as a loan fee for the 29-year-old and whether they are prepared to pick up a large portion of his £325,000-a-week wages. The Italian club cannot afford to sign him on a permanent basis. Lukaku, who endured a turbulent season after joining Chelsea for a club record £97.5m, is aware he could need to take a wage cut if the transfer is to go through. Chelsea are also likely to need to subsidise part of his earnings. They are seeking about £20m for the loan, with Inter hopeful of paying a smaller fee. Reports in Italy have suggested that Inter, who have also been trying to sign Paulo Dybala, could offer players to Chelsea in return for Lukaku. Denzel Dumfries, the right wing-back, is the latest linked with Chelsea, though a loan is a likelier outcome --------------- So we will paying to send him on loan? Does not make sense to me, if he wants to go back he will accept a wage cut and that is what Inter should be paying as well getting 20 million sounds good.
-
But no one has accepted blame for the Lukaku deal? Surely that person should be held accountable.
-
They do mention if it makes financial sense meaning not a big loss. Player swap would be awesome but I don't know. I would want barella but I don't think we have a chance.
-
I think they are doing the right thing if they sell because the trend these last 2 years is to run down your contract and leave for nothing. So in the 2 year of contract if you don't extend you should look to sell. I think a lot of clubs will be wise to consider this trend and start doing the same when you get to 2 years left in your contract.

While we spent 100 on donkey. Good value for this one. And if it don't work out they can sell. We are stuck with donkey. I hope whoever did this deal gets sacked.
-
Nkunku and Gnabry for me. I do like Raphinha, he has experience in PL and in a better team he will do good.
-
Barella is the one we should be buying from Inter. Include in the Lukaku deal.
-
To be honest I don't think we upgrade anything if we go for Serling and Dembele. I'm skeptical with these names. I don't see us being elite with these players.
-
Put him like Malouda, in the reserves.
-
I'm afraid Lautaro might be too lightweight for PL. I get the Morata vibes of him. Maybe @Vesper can ededucate me on this since she always does good detail analysis. But I'm on the sides with Lautaro if he can handle the PL.
-
So no different with Todd on how we operate. Same shenanigans'. We pay a big fee to Italian and then we give them a player back for free.
