We play shit with out him and better with him. If Mourinho cannot see that then he is delusional. Mata just gave you the response in the field that you where wrong. So play him now more!
-
Well Mourinho said what counts is the what you do now and not what you did in the past. So if he was using that remark to judge mata then the same applies to him.
-
I wonder what has happen to Mata? Has he lost his passion and hunger for the game? Look at what happened to Silva? That guy was awesome the first two season and now is lost. Sorry for Mata as he is a good guy but at the moment Oscar is far ahead the pecking order.

Well I do remember everyone here and all over the world saying that Mourinho had audition for the United job when Madrid eliminated United in the Champions League. As the saying goes, where there's smoke there's fire. And besides Chelsea had been going through many managers in the past and Mourinho could have come back before. It's interesting he comes after saf retires... But who cares, just like Chelsea was not his first choice so was Mourinho never our first choice. We each settled for second best and that's fine by me.

Well I was reading an article that stated otherwise. How his players complain cause he will put them to play as a small team. Here: The arguments usually centred on the players’ sense that their coach was demeaning them. At three levels. One, because too often against Barcelona he made them play like a little team does against a big team, seeking to stop the rival from playing and hoping to snatch a goal on the break. Two, because beyond counter-attack Mourinho’s Real had no settled system of play, meaning that even the weaker teams they played against figured that ceding possession of the ball to them was the best way to ensure they would not know how to attack. Three, because he seemed to follow a deviously crafted script, either blaming referees for defeats or stoutly defending his methods of play. http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/2/3fcb0618-15aa-11e3-950a-00144feabdc0.html#ixzz2eDYMeIvj

Jose style is mostly known for counter attacking. Anything else is virgin territory for him. So will be interesting to see how we are playing come New Year. But me thinks if Mourinho truly is the one of the best managers ever he should not have problem acquiring a new identity. The counter attacking team has been his philosophy because those are the teams profile he has to work with. Here at Chelsea and in the younger academic structure the profile of the player is that of possession attacking futbol. Won't make sense for Mourinho to go to counter attacking team when his players can do better then that. If anything I think Mourinho would like to mirror SAF way of style playing. Mourinho adored SAF, and his style of attacking futbol was something that looked good and practical. Won many trophies for United, hence I will be incline to say that Mourinho will pursue this style.

Goal from ibra! Guy is class.

Psg vs Mónaco. Should be a good match, I'm watching it! :-)

So you guys think that Rooney might still want out if United start going downhill with Moyes? The past couple of games shows that Rooney still has it in him. Might work great with the system that Mourinho want to put. Let's hope he doesn't sign an extension to his contract and that next year will force the hand of United.
-
The good thing about United going downhill is that Rooney would want out next season. We can then get him! :blue scalf:
-
Don't get ahead of yourself. We are not ready, Mourinho even said it. I hate it when people get cocky like this for no reason at all. For crying out loud Mourinho does not even know what is his strongest starting 11!
-
No is not that, is that SAF was more important then the team. This is the only real problem of having such a big manager in your team. As soon he leaves the total team is totally shit!
-
Like I said, it's not the same United without SAF. I think this time it's really over for United. No matter how many teams compete for the tittle it tends to always be 2 at the end. In this case it will be City and Chelsea. United can no longer keep up without a big manager like SAF. United times is up just like Liverpool decades ago after their big manager also left. And then slowly descend into mediocrity.
-
I remember when the Belgians fan base where telling us that KDB will take Oscar spot and all that. Now look how things have changed?
-
Yeah Pellegrini is a real good coach. He is a very attack minded coach, which is why I respect him a lot. I think this is the style that Mourinho wants to play as well, but we are not ready. Not sure how long it will take, but when we get there we shall have two good teams going head to head in England.
-
This is not the same without SAF. United to me does not seem like the force they where before....well not exactly but that fight in them does not seems to radiate. That fight that will also be transmitted from SAF. We are starting to see the real change of guard. United no longer the team to dominate or be scared about from the Manchester side, but City. City are now for me the real deal with a much better manager. Never really took them serious with Mancini, and now with SAF gone City are in better position to concentrate their power. Especially when you got a coach like Moyes that does not gives you much confidence as SAF did.
-
That was a really good goal. Don't know what Moyes done not going with out RVP. What has happen to Chicharito? Have not really hear much about that guy in some time.
-
I would be surprised if he is meaning Mata as a winger cause that is wrong. I really think Mourinho will move Oscar to the double pivot and thus Mata can play in the advance role.
-
That's not the feeling I got from that post match interview. He said he is not ready to change Oscar position. Meaning it is the one we have been thinking where Oscar could play in the double pivot....in fact he mention how Oscar was doing with Mikel like Parker and Sidwell where doing in the double pivot role. He sees that but that he is not ready to make this changes. It is still clear that Mata will continue to be our number 10 for the future while Oscar will be that deep lying playmaker we thought he could be. He has all the attribute to play there. For crying out loud Lampard has been playing it the last season, why Oscar can't?
-
What has happen to this dude?
-
@Barbara No I was mad at him because I thought he was not good anymore after the Real Madrid last year. Just like Mourinho view, I also feel the same. You are as good as your last few games. So from Madrid till now I had not seen anything great. Except in this last game against Fulham, where in the second half I finally got to see what he is truly intending to do. The high pressing game against Fulham was a first sign of what is to come. Mourinho truly is bent on shaping this team into an attacking team but with a balanced to it. I was mostly worried that we had picked the wrong guy to shape our new philosophy but after today game and his last post match conference I'm excited again. As I thought it was wrong to take this team and shape it into a counter attacking team, and this is not what Mourinho has in mind. We will continue with what the club and the owner wants which is good.
-
You guys want to know why our fans are so impatient? Well because of this: "History doesn't play. The past is the past and you have to be judged on what you do now," added Mourinho after Chelsea ended a dismal run of three consecutive defeats in three different competitions. When even the manager we have says such a thing, of course our fans going to be arrogant and high demanding as the manger himself also demands it! This is good cause we want the best of the best. Don't want to be like Arsenal that holds unto their manager despite winning shit in years because of his past.

Thanks for the vid of Chelsea TV. Not sure if anyone caught this but in the post match analysis that Mourinho said he mention something very important. In that what was the point of doing high crosses when Ivan would get the ball? And this is exactly what I been furious for the last season. When we started playing with RDM last season I would be dumbfounded why Cech would continuously kick the ball up high when he knew our players was small. And this always led to us giving away the possession. Similar when Ivan would do those crosses into the area, no one will be there cause our team is very small. Glad he notice this, because this was a major problem for us the last season. This cost us silly possession of the ball.
-
I think he hinted that he will eventually move Oscar to that role for the pivot. But that Mata needs to do some work before he can go back to the number 10 role. I believe that is his vision if I'm not mistaken. As well with Van GInkel. It would be Oscar-Van Ginkel in the double pivot role. But for now they are not ready so it seems like Mikel will do. That is the sense I got from looking the last game with the high pressing game and what he said afterwards. I hope it is cause it looks very exciting.
-
Oh okay I see. I'm fact it looks like Mourinho is thinking just like that. I remember when we used to say if Oscar can play in double pivot? Well I think that is what Mourinho will push for eventually. Oscar would be like the xavi alonso playing in the mid helping out the dm but also adding creativity. And mata our main 10. I think Mourinho wants mata to be a bit more aggressive like Oscar so he can help us when we need to press in the high line.
