  1. United closer to Juan Mata transfer http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1688467/manchester-united-closer-transfer-chelsea-juan-mata?cc=5901 Chelsea prepared to sell Juan Mata to Manchester United for fee in excess of £40mhttp://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/transfer-news-chelsea-prepared-to-sell-juan-mata-to-manchester-united-for-fee-in-excess-of-40m-9075585.html
  2. I remember the same dilemma with City and Mancini. I really wanted them to win last season because I knew how shit he was. They where at best mediocre no matter all the best player they had. And now that they have a good manager they are no joke. Mata going to Untied with Moyes in charge would be the same. Not a team I will worry a lot about.
  3. I would say this might be the deal breaker for both parties But if United where to go desperate and start offering silly money, like more then the 37 million being reported it will be too damn hard to turn down.
  4. As they should. People are really not thinking this right. Does not makes sense having a guy that does not help us in our current situation. We want to keep him just to have him as back up? Ludicrous! Best to sell him and get the money to buy something else we need.
  5. That might actually be a great thing to do. Cause if he plays good, and rips our contenders it will help us and it will increase his value. Then as to opposed staying in our bench and just play some cameos here and there.
  6. Or we can win the tittle if we sell Mata and get Rooney plus cash. As Mourinho said, he is happy he does not have to play United again this season and hopes they will take points away from the other contenders.
  7. Because those big offers don't come often. I remember when we had big offers for Kalou, Essien, Kakuta and other players. It was hard to make a call because we had no long term manager to implement his style. We assume that Mourinho knows, and he knows what player he wants. It's obvious that Mata is not part of his plan, so why wait for his value to be reduced? Best to cash in and get as much as you can so you can use that money for something else.
  8. He was always meant to be a short term buy till we are in a better position this summer. If he leaves after the summer then we will thank him for his service and wish him the best.
  9. Pretty much this is why I would not like to sell to them. But 37 is 37 for someone who is no longer our starter. I don't know it's too tough to call, I'm glad I'm not Mourinho. Let him solve this issue if it it's true.
  10. Well its interesting how mourinho mentioned that it was very good that he doesn't has to face United and that he hoped they will take points from the other rivals. It feels like he was hinting to something more. Maybe it's me looking too much, but if it is then it's something that mourinho is contemplating.
  11. Do you think he should manage England part time? Try to do what hidddink did for us, manage Russia and Chelsea at the same time. I would think that mourinho can do it....
  12. Discuss all you want but 37 million for a bench warmer is really a lot of money. If it's true then mourinho and the club will have a tough decision to make.
  13. Should be interesting to see if scolari puts him into the starting 11 for his team. I think at this point he is offering more then hulk.
  14. Sell him if it means we get Rooney. That was the story back in the summer but people where going wild. Now giving the situation it seems like something mourinho would love.
  15. Yeah I agree that teamwork is key. It is no surprise that mata hardly gets into Spain because he can't offer the balance like the other players do.
  16. Just put him out of his misery and sell him now.
  17. What kdb couldn't learn from azpi.Love this dude and his attitude. Need more players like that in our team.
  18. You said it right, for a nice price. Culture, history and identity? Funny thing is that's what arsenal fans are always preaching and say how we have none......
  19. If he's good hes good. I prefer we buy players who are good, not because they are English. If we need English we just buy some horrible to mediocre player like Turnbull and sit them in the bench to fill our quota. But other then that, I don't buy into buying English core just for the sake of it. They have to be good, and that's that. And I agree with you in Shaw, I would prefer him. Not because he's English, but because he is good and has a higher ceiling.
  20. Well he did said this: And what of talk Mourinho could have replaced Ferguson at Old Trafford? When asked if he thought about it before joining Chelsea, he said: "No. Because of Chelsea." I was saying that those statement made it sound like he was wishing he was there, a secure place where they won't fire for any shenanigans like Roman and company do.
  21. Not really. It's just only because of the home grown rule. But other then that, English players are really horrible overpriced. So why the hell do I want them for if they are not good enough? You got it, because of the homegrown rule. If that didn't existed we would be like Inter, having a team full of international players and little to nothing local talent.
  22. Did you actually read this? "He is not under pressure of 'lose one match and lose your job'. He is stable, probably more stable than many of us in the Premier League. "He will have time to rebuild his team, he will have a budget to buy players. "He will succeed, he will win titles, so I don't feel for him because he has a fantastic job." ........ Something about those words make me think if Mourinho actually did wanted the job at United? Because it seems at Chelsea he has to sell himself to continue to be here. I mean look at how he puts it: "I stay until they want me not to stay," he told BBC Football Focus. "No club moves me from Chelsea until Chelsea wants me to move because I want to be where I am loved."
  23. He does seems more relax right? Before at Chelsea he was more of a gun ho manager. At Madrid, I think the media made him out to seem worse then was. Now at England he seems more like a political figure. Trying to grab the light because of his popularity and how the English media respect him. Meanwhile showing more respect and culture this time around. So I will agree with Mourinho when he said he comes back at the right time of his career. The first time he was still young and even though he won there was still other aspect to learn. Italy and Spain, especially Spain thought him a lot. Also to realize how good he had at England and now that he is back he is cherishing every moment and in the meantime a bit more humble to be back where he started it all....well you can say Porto, but for Mourinho and fans a like Chelsea will always be where it all started.
  24. Hazard looks like a bad ass wannabe white boy. And Van Ginkel sure does looks like Bieber. If that guy ever becomes good, he will pull a lot of marketing because of his looks.
