ok bravo to him for scoring a penalty against City... what worries me about that penalty is that Mata should have taken it as assigned by the coach.. but Lamps insisted on taking it himself, going against the coach's word. Man United have proven that with the same manager for that whole period... Our experienced players sometimes seem like they don't want to adapt (esp. Lamps n Drogs).. As "Chelsea?" said about Lamps taking the penalty instead of Mata (AVB assigned Mata to take them). That's just givin us a clue of the attitude of some senior players... You want experience keep Cole n Terry.. Lampard and Drogba don't seem too happy to adapt.

Yup, Sturridge should play as CF... but AVB's not stubborn mate, it's just that 50 mill says that place is reserved... and with Drogba still in the team I'm sure u see the scope of the problem (cuz it is a huge problem).

Why do some ppl have a problem with Lamps and Drogba leaving? Theyre both no longer good enough and r frankly in the way of AVBs plans... A team like United is able to keep its legends because theyve had the same manager for 25 yrs. Whereas we have a new manager every few yrs hence the old guard r unable or unwilling to adapt to the new manager...i mean its so disrespectful that we have players texting Jose abt everything goin on in the team and with the manager...how is AVB supposed to do his job with that disgraceful behaviour towards him. No one is bigger than the club and some ppl gotta go...and its not AVB.

it would be stupid to fire him this season... at least give him time to let go of the old guard and build a team. so, next season at least for me.

ya i mistakenly thought that he was wanted by Inter at the end of that season with Hiddink.... anyways if he had left at the time we wouldnt be in this mess today.. I love Lamps and he was arguably one of the best and he's a legend... but right now he's shit.

What im on about is that your taking the facts for those specific years, whereas u didnt take into account the situation we'd be in as we are now... the situation now is that we have players considered legends (they r legends) and we're having a hard time building a successful team because of them. Ya Jose left in 2007, that season we almost won the league and CL.. the year after that we should have won the CL (this is 2008/09..the yr Jose wanted him at Inter)... He stayed and won the league the following season.. now we're here. So I maintain what I said considering in the last few seasons we could have possibly developed McEachrean or brought in some younger players and by now we would have a successful team for the next 5 years at least. Remember the summer when Fergie said our team is too old to compete for the title? Well we proved him wrong and won the title, but after that we're absolutely shit.
