I'm sorry but I wouldn't consider Feruz and Bamford having the same potential as Sturridge. We are really underestimating Danny Boy. Even if they offered a 25m/30m + Sturridge, I wouldn't take it. Your making a premature conclusion that Sturridge won't improve and have an impact on our team.
I do not, in any circumstance want a money + player swap deal involving Sturridge. The kid has talent and could be class. Best not to let him go and regret it later when he is banging in goals. I think a £35 million bid could/should secure Modric (as long as Madrid is not involved).
Modric all but confirms he is leaving Tottenham: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1118112/luka-modric-agent-meets-with-real-madrid---reports?cc=3436
Del Bosque can be an idiot at times. The decision to use Negredo for the first time in a semi final was farcicle. Everyone could see Torres should have played and he could have scored if he did, due to the space in behind the back four. We should have more belief in Torres.
I think his new body shape will actually help him alot. I think he would still retain his core strength, which will still make it pretty hard to knock him off the ball. Before, when he played a few games for us he looked a bit 'clunky' and slow. Now he will be quicker and more agile.
That is odd. I can only assume it's because he has grown up as a LW, so it will take time for him to get accustomed to being permanently in the middle. If he gets shoved out to the left while Hazard plays centrally, it'll be the wrong move IMO...
I never said anything about not playing regularly. I simply said he will not play on untill he is Giggs' age and very few will. You're being very assumptive aren't you Lampard can still play around 35-40 games.
Yes, there is plenty wrong with that. What would happen to Sturridge? He can not/should not play on the RW anymore. It would be best to buy Hulk or another RW who can play as a striker rather than buying both a Striker AND a RW.
You do realise not every old player will be like Giggs, right? Comparing every future ageing Chelsea player to Giggs is just silly. What he has done does not happen very often. Much like Drogba is one of a kind, so is Ryan Giggs.
