Rodgers has every right to be annoyed if the rumours are true. Apparently Ian Ayre had a verbal agreement with Basel before the January window then when they made their move in January, Ayre was lowballing and offering way below the amount originally agreed. They had all month to come to an agreement and we came in and completed the deal in 3 days.

I keep seeing you mention this game and this challenge, and I know exactly which challenge you are talking about. However, I don't think it's a case of 'bottling' the tackle, as I've seen him on a number of occasions use the same tackling technique with varying success (sort of going over the top of the ball?). I know you want to bring these things up to back up your points, but you can't just focus on the negatives and completely ignore other things, some even in the same matches. I don't know what JT was doing here, but Luiz basically saved his backside and a near certain goal. Yet all I hear about this game is that Luiz bottled one challenge.

The fact that he's playing with Oscar every week must help his cause to, as they develop more of an understanding.

Matic himself even mentioned that he's 25 the other day IIRC.

The way I see it, Wolfsburg are prepared to pay £18m for de Bruyne in the worst moment of his career. He can only get better playing regularly, and if we're going to sell atleast loan him until the summer and go from there. We probably would've got more for him last summer to.

For me I don't see much difference in the Yaya now to last season under Mancini. What's changed now is that he is playing alongside a great player in Fernandinho, and not an incompetent Javi Garcia. Combined with having two strikers that are effectively killing games this season before they've even started.

Not that old. Still better than any other option out there and it's not like his game is centered around pace which usually deteriorates with age.

Could still push for Rooney in the summer seeing as he's yet to sign a new contract. Would be so perfect for us.

Had another good game yesterday. The only thing I can really complain about is that he's sometimes a little sloppy on the ball or with his distribution. Great block in the first half, and I loved when Mourinho pulled him up towards the end of the game when he exaggerated a foul
