Is this kid special then Leif?! I have no idea who he is and what he is capable of!

A shame that Zlatan is such a bitch about football because he is an amazing striker. Plays effortlessly with a breeze like style. I would love him here if I knew he was a loyal and club focused player but unfortunately it seem's like he isn't and only plays for himself. I hope I'm wrong and he has finally matured as he would be ideal for us if we can't get Cavani.

Could you imagine Giovinco, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Cole, Marin and Azpilicueta all in the same side! The 7 dwarf's springs to mind.
-
NO, just NO! Spot on mate. He isn't having a great first half. Those balloon's have more presence on the pitch than he does at the moment but like you said he is just having a tough time of it. I expect him to have a better second as thing's can only get better for him.

Am I right in understanding that your saying the Spanish team's in Barcelona and Real Madrid have dominated Europe for the past 15 years or so with Barca winning it in 2006, 2009 and 2011. Real winning it in 1998, 2000 and 2002. This having an infectious transformation on the Spanish national team from 2008 onward's. Whilst the German's in Bayern Munich have always been there with Byern reaching the finals 3 out of the past 4 season's. Well do not forget Bayern won the Champions League back in 2001 and were very close to winning it in the 1999 season also. The German's haven't just started in 2008, they have always had a strong team in Bayern representing the Bundesliga and have the second most appearances in the European cup with 29 only second to Real Madrid. There is no denying the truth that Spain has birthed the most exceptional talent who have proven to be World beater's with winning the World Cup in 2010 and the European Championship in 2008 and 2012. It's no coincidence that the Barcelona team that consist's a majority of the Spanish National team have been the most successful in club football at the same time. Now if you look at Germany's history in all major tournament's then they surpass that of Spain's tenfold. They have won the World Cup 3 times and have been runner's up 4 times since the World Cup tournament was created. They have won the European Championship 3 times also and been runners up 3 times too. In conclusion if you look at the history of the game then the German's have been far more successful that the Spanish have ever been in football. You may have not been referring to the recent all German final and the fact that Bayern has been ion 3 out of 4 CL finals in the past 4 year's when comparing the two. Though it leads me to think that you have because if you had taken these fact's into consideration then you would understand that Germany has always been a nation to birth exceptional talent's and just because of the recent flurry of success in the European club football doesn't mean it's something new. Yes Spain has experienced a purple patch in recent history and now it look's to be the German Bayern Munich's turn to enjoy their spoils in domination but they haven't just popped up in 2008. They have been there for a long time and this doesn't mean that we should all of a sudden look at German talent's because I'm sure that all of the top clubs have scouted German player's since International transfer's ever has come about.

Yep and sizing up both teams for next season's campaign.

Mourinho is at the playoff final checking on our Chalobah! :blue scalf:

Vote for the Conservatives by any chance!!!

Yea I agree that it was their need of a prolific striker that let them down this season. Adebayor was horrid right up until the last few games of the season. He was better for them last year but there were other factors to why Spurs didn't cut it this year.Modric was an animal for Spurs and remember they finished in the top 4 with him last season after his incredible influence on the team. He was their best player and his absence this season pushed Bale to step up to carrying the team. Dembele is a very good player who I rate highly but he doesn't have the quick, incisive vision that Modric added to their team. Sandro isn't a DPL so he was never going to fill the void Mod left and Holtby hasn't settled in yet. If Modric had stayed at Spurs with Bale and Lennon on the wings with Dembele next to Modric and an in form Adebyor then they would have been a very frightening force.

The Germans haven't all of a sudden become equally as good as the Spanish because of an all German team final in the Champions League. There were and always have been German footballers as good as the Spanish. Likewise for Italian, Brasillian, English, Argentinian, Dutch, French and other countries all over the world. Look at Belgium and the players they are producing at the moment...scary amounts of talent. Just because teams from a certain league who have players mostly born in one country dominate Europe does not mean the other countries don't produce world class talent.. If scouts worked by that kind of logic the World would have missed out on some of the best players in history.
-
If Spurs had kept Modric they would have secured a Champions League spot this year. Instead they cashed in and joined the Chump'ions League!
-
Soo gay in this thread at times.
-
Losing Luiz would be a bitch made move. It would upset the Brasillians who seem to look up to him as a person. He is our future captain, he is going nowhere!
-
If Rafa plays his part in persuading Torres to join Napoli opening the door for Cavani then he would be fully forgiven for all his past shinanigans.
-
Oh fuck a fuck. I didn't say money wasn't the ruler of football in the modern game because everyone can see that. I said players do still join clubs for things other than money......
-
Yea Monaco are building a decent team but CL football isn't a given for next year just because they have got some big names. Yea they probably will seeing as Ligue 1 is soo shit and boring. Compared to the Prem, Ligue 1 doesn't even come close. There top 4 teams are on the same level as the bottom half of the Prem.
-
Yes Roman did that is true but listen if you wanna chose Monaco, Ranieri, Ligue 1, No CL football over Chelsea, Mourinho, Prem, CL football then fine go ahead but if I was a player in my prime then I know which club I would chose. Wouldn't eant to waste a second pissing about in a ligue 1 club.
-
Your boring mate.I can tell you only started supporting Chelsea after Roman took over. It's clear in the way you talk about our club and football.
-
If he goes to Madrid in 1 year using Monaco as a stepping stone then fair enough. I honestly don't know why I am arguing about it because If he isn't coming to Chelsea then I don't really care what he decides to do. If anything I'm glad he isn't going to be playing against us at all next season, that's a good thing.
-
They do join for things other than money like players, location, CL football and the name of the Club. How can you not see that? Anyways call it a day because I can't be assed to keep repeating the same fact over and over again. Ciao
-
Not at all. People can't believe at his peak age after leaving a club that had just acheieved a spot in Champions league to join another club who didn't. Now he looks like he is doing it again. Falcao isn't overrated but if people are saying Lewandowski is theb Falcao must be because Lewa is the better all singing, all dancing striker.
-
Fuck Falcao seriously. If people are saying Lewandowski is overrated then so is Falcao for fuck sake. Lewa is the more complete striker. Falcao can go suck eggs in Monaco for all I care.
-
Oh just jump back in your pram. Bored of all these fanboys who think football is a game of Fifa. Players do still have dreams of playing for their boyhood club and strive to get there. I guess this isn't going anywhere so let's leave it there.
-
There is no convincing me that it isn't a move inspired by money if you chose Monaco over us. CLfootball is the holy grail for all footballers at club level and Minaco are not in it next year. Madrid and Chelsea may have spent money to build good teams but it isn't just the money for the players it's the wanting to wear the shirt that lures them in.
-
Hypothetically speaking why would any professional football player who is in the peak of their career want to join Monaco instead of Madrid or Chelsea!????Money! It isn't the new norm to join clubs who aren't challenging for the best trophies football has to offer.
