I can't believe James Rodriguez and Moutinho have gone to Monaco. James was a player I was secretly hoping for us to be linked with this summer. If Falcao joins Monaco now then it just proves that football for some has become all about the Benjamin's and what a shame that is for the game. I guess greed rules glory for certain folks but you need these kind of players to remind you who is playing for the badge and who isn't. I don't know what the current situation is with Isco as I saw a lot of Madrid players claiming that they have already got him but nothing official. The more I watch him play the more I want Isco to join the second coming of the Jose. De Rossi would just be the perfect buy for our DM problem. The perfect age to do a job and allow Romeu, Challobah and Ake to break through without being blocked by a world class DM who has years ahead of him. That's a win/win buy and we must push to get him. The big name striker fiasco that hasn't even breathed life yet and is looking more likey that we will miss out on one of the big three. As much as I would love to see Cavani here maybe it isn't such a bad thing that we won't bow down to these ridiculous price tags that are slapped on every decent striker in Europe.

Sorry but I couldn't resist seeing as people have already posted the team I would pick... Manager: Roman Ambramovich. Assistant: Ken Bates

That's what a good businessman calls, good business. Sporting should have checked out all end results before selling the player. Only have themselves to blame.

Hahahaha. Class post mate. I actually could see a donkey underneath Fernando's skin instead of a human skeleton lol.

This could be debated for weeks to come and probably will but it is as simple as jeronimo says. I reckon we will buy one striker, keep Torres and Ba, Loan out Lukaku to a Prem club and go into the season with three strikers which is more than sufficient for our system.

I've been watching Turan ever since he was linked with us and to be quite frank he is an average midfielder at best. Unless that beard gives him some kind of special powers that I don't know about then I just can't see why his name would even be mentioned in the same breath as Chelsea. Moving on!

I can't post a picture because I don't know how to on my phone but being a striker myself I always modeled myself on Del Piero. I loved Batistuta and his machine gun celebration but Del was just an absolute Don. White puma boots Del Piero that is. =} Goooooaaaalll Lazioooooooooo!

Arsenal will only have a chance next season if they buy 2 or 3 big game players. They have a decent squad but there isn't one player in that team I would want in the first team here, not even Walcott. The changing of managers will not change Arsneal's chances of winning the title. City, United and us still all have stronger teams and they won't suddenly fall below the Gooners because of a change in manager's at the top.

Your point is a proven fact. Our midfield was exposed on numerous occasions in nearly every game we played this season. It was far too easy for opposition to penetrate the center of our midfield and this was mainly down to not having a naturally combatant midfielder in the 'pivot role'. Rafa managed to bring solidity to our structure as a team by the end of the season which is what I felt won us that precious Champions League spot. Before we were disjointed and weak in the center of the park and this has to be addressed for next season without any shadow of a doubt and that should be our first priority in this summer transfer window. I have no doubt in my mind that Mourinho will bring that solidity back to our game once again. I say first priority because it isn't just our main, as I think if we truly want to mount a serious assault on the title and Champions League next season we will need a 20 goal + striker to fire us through yet another long season. Our midfield has bundles of goals in them but we cannot rely on Eden and Mata to keep carrying the average goalscorers in BA and Torres. All the top teams in Europe who have found success this season and in the history of the game posses a prolific goalscorer and just because we have goals in our midfielders we are no exception to the truth of success.

I wouldn't say he is worth 30 million British pounds but he is for me, a top quality player. I think it was Blue-In-My-Veins who likened Jovetic to Del Piero and he was spot on with that comparison. Jovetic is very skillful and can take on players with nimble and delicate touches. He think's two touches ahead of the incoming tackle, like Hazard does this making him very hard to stop. He has a natural ability to score from outside the box but he is also a deadly poacher inside the 6 yard box. I remember watching him vs Inter Milan a few years back and for his size he was just an absolute beast and dominated them from start to finish with flair and flamboyant skill. There was a video of that performance on youtube but I can't find it. Sorry Muzchapio. After an explosive introduction for Fiorentina in the 09/10 season, Jovetic suffered a crucial ligament injury in pre-season that kept him out for the whole of the 10/11 season in Italy. When he returned that was when we were being rumoured to have an interest in bringing Jovetic to the Bridge. He came back with a bang and brought his old form back with him. We didn't follow up with our interest for Jovetic then and I have heard very little of us being interested by him now. Here's a little vid (the best I could find on youtube) of his goal scoring ability that will give you the jist of what Jovetic is about in terms of goals and skill. I think, given the fact that Cavani and Falcao are the more complete striker and are valued at 50 millions Euro's then maybe Jovetic is worth 30 considering he is only 23 years old. I have said previously that he isn't worth 30 million British Pounds but 30 million Euros then yes he is. I haven't included Lewandowski in that debate because I truly believe he is going to Byern but I could be wrong. If we miss out on Edison and Falcao then attempting to hijack the move of Jovetic from Fiorentina to Arsenal would be ok by me.

At last next season there is one less trick the ref's can try pulling on us in their cynical attempts to fuck us over. Long overdue.
