  1. Been wanting Witsel at the club for some years now, gave up hope when he joined Zenit but would be great if it finally happened.
  2. Good signing, it's nice to have a quality replacement for Cech as number two so we still don't have to worry if Courtois gets injured. Begovic is a keeper we can easily trust to get between the sticks even in high stakes games.
  3. Believe me, I'm certainly not the one who's not seeing the bigger picture here.
  4. Maybe to you, but not to the people who actually matter.
  5. Yeah, let's do that. I already agreed with you that Cuadrado is going nowhere but my reasons for that assumption are based entirely on the fact he was a huge €30M investment by the club who should, and most likely will be, given at least a full year with proper pre-season preparation to show us his qualities. Your reason was that he appears on the scetch cover of a video game that will be released later this year. Now, which of these arguments sounds more sensible from the perspective of board members at one of the biggest football clubs in the world who decide what to do with Cuadrado's future?
  6. I knew you'd say that lol.Just admit it, your point was already proven wrong.
  7. Yeah, like they knew Spurs wouldn't sell Bale two years ago when they had him on the cover with a Spurs kit? Before: http://images.eurogamer.net/2013/articles/1/6/1/2/3/5/8/137811472722.jpg After: http://images.eurogamer.net/2013/articles/1/6/1/2/3/5/8/137889327351.jpg/EG11/resize/600x-1/quality/80/format/jpg These things matter very little when it comes to the bigger picture. If he does get sold, they'll just change the cover star to another Chelsea player or Cuadrado with the shirt of his new club. The game won't be released until late September or early October anyway so they'll have plenty of time to make the change if needed.
  8. I don't think Cuadrado's going anywhere either but evwn suggesting it has something to do with the fact he's wearing a Chelsea shirt on the regional FIFA16 cover somewhere around the world is beyond ridiculous. I'm pretty sure things like that are on the bottom of the club's priorities when considering whether to sell him or not.
  9. Haven't really watched Barca lately but I'd take the Pedro of a couple years back without thinking twice. Even if his form has been bad recently, it's understandable because he hasn't been playing regularly enough. Just think Cesc at Barca and then at Chelsea, huge difference.
  10. Yeah, I'm sure that pissing off EA is the biggest concern when it comes to a potential £30M transfer.
  11. Fantastic signing for them, will be interesting to see him in the PL. Can't wait for the new season, United and maybe even Arsenal will be right up there trying to challenge us for the title and can't underestimate City either even though they haven't really improved their squad yet.
  12. Isn't the article suggesting he's heading back to Santos and not Chelsea?
  13. Just 'Yokohama' on the shirt, not the full name.
  14. £40m is way more than I had expected, good news if indeed true. Yokohama looks good on the shirt too so I've got no complaints. Thanks WHS for letting us know way before anyone else caught up with the news.
  15. Lukaku and his big mouth, can anyone say they're surprised? Last summer people justified his statements to the media by saying it's all Chelsea's fault that he was never given a chance but doing it again now at Everton too just goes to show what a self-righteous cunt Lukaku really is. He made his bed and it's up to him to now lie in it. So far he's proven nothing at Everton and a move to a big club is very, very far away so why open his mouth again?
  16. Please tell me we have Cahill in there somewhere, preferably September? Being in the calendar always seems to be some death blow to these guys' Chelsea careers. Wasn't Mata involved in last February's calendar?
  17. Need to change my profile pic now. Will definitely miss the guy but I think Cuadrado might be better for what Mourinho wants from his wide player so overall I'm quite happy.
  18. Was just watching the Monaco - Lyon game because of my accumulator and caught this: https://twitter.com/philousports/status/562002328023482368/photo/1 Now that is a proper stamp, the intention is clear as day and the power a hundred times worse than Costa's. Will there be any uproar for a retrospective ban? No? Thought so.
  19. Salah is being loaned to Fiorentina as part of the Cuadrado transfer. Still kind of want Schürrle to stay but I've already accepted the fact he's as good as gone and making the bench today will hardly change anything. Filipe Luis, Fabregas, Mikel and Costa are out with injuries / suspension and Salah is leaving so the squad is lacking in numbers for today's game . By my count we'll have 15 senior players + Schürrle available today so even with him being in the squad Jose will have to include a couple of youngsters for the bench and I'd guess Schürrle will only feature if absolutely necessary, otherwise he'll stay clear to avoid injuries.
  20. Deadline for 5 yellows was December 31st and Kompany probably received his fifth some time in January. If it was still 5 we'd not have Oscar either.
  21. If the deal is only finalized some time tomorrow there's no way he will play any part. Just think about it, he's travelling to London tomorrow morning and has never even met the Chelsea players or Mourinho, let alone train with them, and then he's supposed to play in our biggest game of the season so far? Not going to happen.
  22. I see approx. 45 million reasons why we shouldn't go anywhere near Douglas Costa.Absolutely no point paying silly money for someone who's not even all that good and that's what it would take to prise him away from Shakhtar mid-season. We might as well stick with what we have if the alternative is to pay way over the odds for a lad who would only be 5th choice AM. If the price was something reasonable like 10-15m, then by all means get him because even if things don't work out we'd easily recoup the money later but anything over 20m and they'd be robbing us blind.
  23. For a logo that hideous they'd better be ready to match Chevrolet's deal with United. If not, they can go fuck themselves and we'll go with Yokohama.
  24. Transavia looks and sounds horrible. Have I won? [emoji14]hiljones:
