  1. 1 goal and 1 assist in 23 PL games for Moses so it's not really that harsh if only the league matches are considered. In other competitions Moses was more effective though.
  2. Going to Arsenal by the looks of it, €25-30m fee. Wenger finally starting to spend big if it's true they're trying to get Higuain too?
  3. Just top that City offer with 33m + Torres. If it's true about Benitez going there I'm fairly sure he would fancy Torres more than Dzeko. If City get Cavani , Falcao goes to Monaco and Lewandowski to either United or Bayern, we may as well recall Lukaku and not bother signing anyone for CF. Someone Mario Gomez for 20m just isn't worth it and I couldn't help but be disappointed if everyone else got much, much better deals despite them already having better strikers than us.
  4. Surely not the UEFA Super Cup? Would be a shame to miss out on a Mourinho v Guardiola clash, should Bayern win the Champions League first of course.
  5. Chelsea hope to confirm Jose Mourinho as Chelsea manager in the middle of next month. (Guardian) So nearly another month of waiting when everything is already settled on Real Madrid's end? Why is it that no other club ever takes this long to get a new manager? One could assume the Chelsea board would be used to this by now with all the experience they have in such matters.
  6. Goes without saying that most would prefer Lukaku of that bunch but getting rid of Torres won't be that easy and if he's still around I don't want Lukaku coming back next season because getting ahead of Torres, Ba and potentially another new signing is not the simplest of tasks and there's no point returning if he won't get a game. Agree on the ideal scenario, maybe Ba could stay another year as third choice as he seems like the type who won't complain if he doesn't play that much but if only we were be able to sell the ladyboy and buy someone good with Lukaku as second choice it would be perfect.
  7. Will leave on June 1st then, hope his Chelsea contract will be confirmed as soon as United did with Moyes when Everton announced his departure. Doubt that though, it's the Chelsea way to keep the world waiting.
  8. Seems like I missed something in the past couple of days, how did the member @Ronaldo get banned? Good riddance and it was obvious he was a troll and not a Chelsea supporter but what did he do to finally get struck by the ban hammer?
  9. Mutual termination at the end of the season, it would seem. Good, no compensations to anyone.
  10. 10m would be one of the biggest ever compensations paid for a manager's release, only AVB's €13m tops that I believe. And it's not like they want to keep Mourinho there at Real Madrid, in fact quite the opposite, so why should Chelsea do them a favour by paying them €10m to rid them of the man they would most likely end up sacking anyway? Wouldn't be very good business, would it? We're still in May and there's a couple of months before pre-season starts so from Chelsea's point of view there's really no need to rush things when €10m could easily be saved by taking things slowly and that €10m could then be used elsewhere.
  11. Piazon is still at Malaga and their last league match is in June so understandably he couldn't go. Also, Bertrand is injured and not going.
  12. Even if that was the case, and I'm still far from convinced it was, how the fuck should Didier have known it wasn't meant for him or Emmanuel Eboue? 99% of the time waving a banana at someone in a football match is a sign of racism so it was a fair assessment to think it was this time too. And as for the fan being killed, do you honestly expect us to believe there haven't been similar incidents the other way around in the past?
  13. And that makes it okay? Seriously man, that's not cool and you should just quit before you make yourself come across as even more of a cunt.
  14. Oh fuck off, where's Islam Feruz? Could have gone instead of deadwood like Benayoun. Ferreira to captain both matches? Deserves it.
  15. The first couple of months were horrible and he didn't help his cause with the comments that blamed everyone else but himself and Torres for all the problems, but I guess it was not that easy to take over in the middle of the season when the team was in bad shape and it was always going to take time till things started working out again. Nothing more than our usual November to January dip in form. After that it was mostly a pleasant ride and Benitez really deserves a lot of credit for winning the club's first ever Europa League title and getting us to third place despite the squad being ridiculously thin. Going to have a big chunk of that humble pie as well and wish Rafa well wherever he goes, as long as it's not another English club.
  16. One question, have you ever seen Andre Schürrle play? This is a player who will give everything he's got for the team both in defence and attack, his work rate is immense. Can you say the same about Sturridge? Sure, both are indeed quite selfish and talented players but that's where the comparisons end. Their decision making will improve in time and if we're to assume both do become less selfish when they mature, I for one would still take Schürrle ahead of Sturridge any day for his work rate alone because he still benefits the team even when he's not at his best attacking-wise. Like I said in my previous post, there are other options too and they could be pursued if Leverkusen won't sell for €15-20m but I trust whoever the board and management want to buy. In the last couple of years aside from Torres and and maybe Marin (whose signing was still justfied in my opinion like I said in my previous post) there haven't been many flop signings, have there? This is a player who the scouting team have been looking at since his days at FSV Mainz so surely they know what they're investing their money in.
  17. Marko Marin was a cheap gamble in case we hadn't won the Champions League and gotten the likes of Eden Hazard and Oscar. His last international match was in nearly two years prior to the transfer and he had since been injured quite a lot so it was obvious not many people rated him at the time. Someone at the Chelsea board saw room for improvement there and thought it would be good to see whether he can stay injury free and reach his once world class potential. Turns out he couldn't but who cares, we can sell him with 5mil easily with the reputation he has because surely there's someone willing to take the same risk we did to see if he can still become the player he was once touted to become. It's no shame to not get in the team when there's players like Hazard and Mata playing ahead of you in the same position, there aren't many players in the whole world right now who would get ahead of those guys in the pecking order. Also, I liked Kalou but I still think it was the right move to let him go. He was on nearly £100k a week ffs, is that the kind of money the club should be paying for a player who 'could have started 10-15 games'? Marin is hardly on any more than £40k which is more reasonable for a squad player than Kalou's wages. Sure even that seems like much in hindsight considering how little Marin played in the end but like I said it was a gamble that didn't pay off, shit happens. Now let's take Sturridge, he had only six months left on his contract and wanted to leave for Liverpool where he was certain to play more games in his favoured striker position so what could the club have done to stop him from going? If he hadn't gone for £12m in January, he would be going for free next month. And I seriously doubt we would lose De Bruyne to Leverkusen in Schürrle's potential transfer to Chelsea. If we lose KdB, it will be for Dortmund because they really seem to want this guy and are willing to give him a big role in the team after Götze goes. Like I've said countless of times, under no circumstances should the club even consider selling De Bruyne but Schürrle's transfer hardly has anything to do with that discussion when it's been clear for a while now that he won't be going to Leverkusen, at least permanently. And it's not like Schürrle coming in would be the one to drive KdB away from the club knowing he will never get in the team because they're completely different type of players and everyone knows we need more depth and quality on the wings and Schürrle also offers a decent third choice for CF as well.
  18. Haha, agree with Juve. No reason for them to sell anyone and I sure as hell can't see them wanting Torres but we can always hope. Like I've been saying in other threads recently, I would much rather spend big on a midfielder and not buy a new striker at all and recall Lukaku because midfield is currently way more important of the two. Despite the strikers not performing, we have been scoring enough goals this season to challenge the best of them and if Lukaku were to return I would see no problem with our attack force but our midfield gets overpowered even against the shit teams. Don't really care who we get to dictate the play in midfield but it better be someone good. And sure, we can only hope the board and management realize sooner rather than later what a player De Bruyne is and take him to be a part of our squad for next season but so far there's been nothing to suggest they will. All these rumours about new star players coming in but I'm yet to read a single article or even twitter rumours saying the club want De Bruyne to return for next season. More of a tongue in cheek kind of comment, how nice of you to single out that one thing and ignore all the rest. And no matter how comical that comment was, I was still more or less talking about us offering a hefty amount of money for any one of those four I mentioned and then chipping in Torres on top of that for free, even on loan if that's what it would take for someone to take the ladyboy off our hands.
  19. Don't know about that, why would he leave Swansea for Everton when he's just won a cup and qualified for the Europa League for next season? Everton aren't even that much better than Swansea are and I doubt he would be given much transfer funds at Everton either, if anything he could end up losing some of the current star players Mirallas, Fellaini, Baines. His Swansea side currently have a great foundation with players like Vorm, Williams, Chico, Hernandez, Michu and they are again likely to improve for next season with another few gems from the La Liga and a beast like Lukaku on loan. I know I wouldn't leave all that for Everton. Maybe in a year or two he could leave for a club like Barca or Real if he keeps being successful but can't see him being interested in Everton this year but maybe that's just me!
  20. Just checked and Laudrup is 50/1 on Skybet to become the next Chelsea manager. If someone believes there's any truth to those rumours, feel free to try and get rich then. I still trust WHS.
  21. Maybe the rumour was intentionally leaked by someone from Chelsea as a ploy to get Real Madrid to release Jose without us having to pay £20m to them. With everything that's been going on there in Madrid and now pretty much 100% certain reports that Ancelotti is the man they've chosen to become their manager for next season, there's no way they want Mourinho to stay any longer than absolutely necessary so us paying that much to release him would be stupid because we would only be doing them a favour by taking the unwanted man off their hands without them having to sack him. It's a well known fact there aren't many top managers out there who would take the Chelsea job this summer so Real Madrid know our board are desperate for this Mourinho deal to happen and are using it as leverage but if they now all of a sudden started to think whether we're looking elsewhere so they'd be stuck with Mourinho and have to pay him a massive compensation to get rid of him, they might just settle for less or even release him for free without anyone paying compensations to anyone. It's not even that far fetched when you think about it. One thing's for sure, the next manager will have a very hard time in the beginning being accepted by Chelsea fans if it's anyone other than Mourinho. It's not that he wouldn't be a good manager, he most certainly would if he was chosen to take charge of this great team, but rather the fact he simply wouldn't be The Special One, the man whose imminent return Chelsea fans have been waiting for months now and who has practically been begging to be given the job. Not exactly the easiest place to start managing a club when most fans would be at least somewhat disappointed in the manager even before taking charge of a single match and one could assume the board have learned their lesson from the Benitez saga by now. In fact, I would even go as far as say we would be better off sticking with Benitez if Mourinho wasn't an option.
  22. May be there discussing the possibility of taking Lukaku on loan...Edit: Nevermind. Didn't see the 'agent' part, don't see why he would be there discussing anything other than a manager's job. Calling bullshit on this one.
  23. So whoever wrote that article thinks we're paying Leverkusen over £20m and give them the 15-20m rated De Bruyne permanently on top of that as well. Yeah sure, like that's ever going to happen. And he also says getting Schürrle means the money spent on Oscar will all go down the drain because he won't get in the team with this new big money signing coming in and apparently Lukaku and Feruz aren't going to make it at the club either. What the hell, isn't that taking things a bit too far? In case they haven't noticed, our squad is seriously lacking depth and Oscar, Mata and Hazard are all on like 65 games this season. What if one of them had gotten injured this season, would we simply have played Benayoun week-in week-out as a regular? And now he thinks we should go into the next season without adding more depth? It's quite obvious that guy doesn't really care much for Chelsea and tries to think everything the worst possible way from Chelsea's point of view to make the club look bad in the eyes of the readers so I honestly don't give a fuck what he says about Andre Schürrle. Most football experts rate him highly and he's been good most of the times I've personally seen him play and I trust my own judgement way more than that of some hack writer's. Not that I put much thought to such things but purely statistically-wise he can't have been too bad this season, having gained an average rating of 7.65 on WhoScored, second best of the Leverkusen team behind the Bundesliga top goalscorer Stefan Kießling. That's way better than any of our players this year (Hazard leading with 7.30). Again, I don't think anyone should form their opinions on players based only on stuff like this but just saying that most people apart from this fraud of a journalist seem to rate Schürrle so he's got to be doing something right on the football pitch. Plenty of other options out there for the position if this deal won't happen so we shouldn't let Leverkusen rip us off here. Would welcome Schürrle to the club with open arms but don't mind if we look elsewhere either should Leverkusen get too greedy.
  24. 1. Agreed, this is the position I consider our top priority. Players like De Rossi, Vidal, Asamoah are the ones we should be aiming for, there are others as well who could even be got more easily but these are just examples and the ones I rate the most. Would much rather break the bank on a world class midfielder than spend big on a striker. 2. Schürrle? Both quality and depth, what's not to like? 3. Like you said, depends on Torres / Ba. If only we could get rid of Torres and replace him with someone who's actually good with Ba as backup for next season and Lukaku on loan for one year before returning to replacing Ba. 4. Should be number one on your list. 5. Don't know about this one, we will probably have a couple of new additions coming in midfield and also Romeu coming back from injury so I don't see why we should get any backup players. Maybe give Ake some more playing time if he's not going on loan?
