Their board is a joke. I'm sure everyone remembers their dealings in the summer transfer window and now, according to the media, they've given the overhyped Januzaj a five year contract with a £5m signing bonus and wages of £60k a week. The kid seems good but not that good, they've really lost the plot there on the red side of Manchester.

Looks like I'm now in the top 300 of the Overall league even though I still have Dawson left and will be getting two points from Shaw once he replaces Zabaleta. With over three million participants that's not too bad. A little bit of luck and balls to try something the majority of players won't. Having discovered gems like Coleman, Ramsey, Lukaku (at Everton) etc. way before most players did as well as having all the usual suspects such as Özil, Giroud and Sturridge from the start I now have a team as mainstream as it gets so I need to be a little more adventurous with my captain selections if I want to keep moving up the table in the Overall league. Making Hazard my captain wasn't even that much of a gamble when you think about it because we're talking about a player who has recently looked like he's regaining his top form and now had a home game against a bottom half team so what's not to like? Most people don't even have him in their teams anymore so to get 36 points from him was amazing. But yeah, I've gotten lucky with some players lately. For example, Ramsey and Oscar started on the bench today but they ended up with 11 and 6 points respectively.

A must win game if there ever was one. Lose and we'll be fighting with Basel for the second place and will face much harder opponents in the first knockout round if we even get there but a win would be put us in a very good position to finish first. Anyone know if Schürrle will be available for this one?

Once the bonus points are added my four midfielders will have scored me a total of 68 points. Not bad, eh?

Bertrand has been solid, hope he gets more chances in the coming weeks.

Okay, I'll take your word for it. And no, Mutu didn't pay anything or otherwise we wouldn't be in this situation now. I don't really understand why he wasn't held responsible for his actions and forced to pay everything he possibly could by selling his house etc. and the rest little by little from his wages. He'd have been properly fucked but no one forced him to do cocaine so hard to feel sorry for him.

Another gamble today as I decided to give the armband to Hazard instead of Sturridge / Giroud / Lukaku like everyone else seems to be doing. Will either be genius or a huge failure, in a few hours we will see.

What I meant was that if (when) Juventus and Livorno will keep appealing against this IMO unfair verdict then sooner or later they will get the case thrown or Chelsea give up on the matter, whichever comes first. Would be more than happy to be proven wrong and see the Italian clubs pay what they've been ordered to but I'm afraid this will drag on for at least another few years.

My thoughts exactly. Won't matter much though, I feel the club will never see any of that money because Juventus and Livorno will appeal again and again as long as it takes and the case will go on and eventually be forgotten.

Well, now I'm confused. My twitter app showed that only two hours ago the club's official website posted an article named "Schürrle: feeling stronger" in which Andre said he's looking forward to tomorrow's game against Cardiff and now he's supposedly out with an injury suffered during the international break? To make things even more suspicious the article was deleted right after Mourinho's press conference. Could it be that Jose is playing his mind games and tomorrow we see our perhaps most in-form player in the starting lineup after all? I hope so. EDIT: Now the article's back but edited. What the hell is going on?

Acid Rain in my ass

Back home from Prague after six days. Gutted to have missed out on skydiving when we'd already made all the arrangements but it was cancelled because of bad weather. At least we found a decent place to spend the skydiving money when we stumbled across a nice gentlemen's club called Goldfingers so maybe the trip was not completely ruined by the weather. :eyebrows:

I wouldn't rule out anything at this point, things like that have happened to me in the past.

Off to Prague for a few days of heavy boozing with my brother and some mates.

Maybe so, but Hazard's been unlucky not to score some points in previous matches and despite the bad form and questionable fitness I've stuck with him when most people have substituted him for someone else so I don't really give a fuck if his goal was a lucky one today. He will come good, just wait a couple of months and he'll be back in everyone's teams.

Two players with zero points but still a good round for me and I will end up with a score of 50 points once today's bonus points are added. My defenders were a joke this time with only one point total but in attack Sturridge, Lukaku, Oscar and Hazard saved my ass. It's getting lonely at the top.

Better a fap fest here than people bashing the board in the Sturridge thread every time he scores.

Yeah, making Lukaku my captain for the round was a gamble and tonight we'll see whether it pays off or not. I could have gone with Özil or Sturridge like so many others but what's the fun in that?

But I've still got my captain Lukaku so Ben Arfa would have to score you at least 16 points more than Lukaku with double points.

Looking decent, 49 points so far this gameweek and I've still got Coleman and my captain Lukaku left. Still top of the table and unless Ben Arfa scores like four goals tomorrow that be changing anytime soon because I'm 15 points ahead of the third placed @Barbara and the team in second place only has Coleman left so he's got nothing on me.
