  1. Loaning out a young player is different than loaning out a player in their prime like Demba Ba. If the club think it's best to buy some top class striker and let Lukaku develop for another year at a great club like Everton before coming back to replace the short term signing Eto'o next year I see no problem with it but loaning out proven players like Ba isn't ideal because not only do the club miss out on a decent transfer fee, they also strengthen one of our rivals at the same time. Anyways, wouldn't worry too much because Lukaku going out on loan is not looking very likely. Haven't seen any rumours of us buying another forward and there's no way Lukaku and Ba are both leaving if no one's coming in.
  2. Lukaku to Everton on loan, now that's a rumour that came out of nowhere. Could be great for his development but can't see it happening unless we're about to bring in a big name forward in the next few hours.
  3. http://nutjob.eu/ssnewstv.html Here you go.
  4. PSG can fuck off, Mata's not for sale. They're welcome to buy Torres though.
  5. Like fuck he has. Last season Cazorla played most of his games in a central role with Walcott on the right and Podolski or Oxlade-Chamberlain on the left. Rosicky played 16 games overall last season so he didn't exactly play the #10 position for "the entire year" like you seem to think. Or in case you were talking about this season only, Rosicky has played the first few games through the middle and Cazorla on the wing but with the long term injuries to Podolski and AOC they've hardly have any other options, right? Cazorla is still effective out wide and will do the job there once Özil joins but IMO he's somewhat wasted there and they'd have been better off spending the Özil money on some hazardesque pacy winger and continued playing Cazorla through the middle where he's at his best. Don't get me wrong, I definitely rate Özil as one of the best playmakers in the world and he will improve their side significantly but is spending £45m for him really necessary if it makes their current best player less influential? I know they don't exactly have any other options because it's so late in the window but what I'm saying is that maybe they should have been active in the market earlier and for example competed with us and Spurs for the signing of Willian? Now they're just trying to take the only world class player that is still on the market and that can be risky.
  6. What the fuck are you on about? Where did I say anything about anyone's title chances? I was simply talking about Mesut Özil and whether or not buying him is the best way for Arsenal to spend £45m.
  7. Özil will be a great player for Arsenal but is he really a player they so desperately need they're willing to pay three times their previous transfer record for him? They already have Cazorla to play behind the striker so if Özil joins then one of them will be forced out wide where neither of them are at their best. Wenger should have spent that money earlier in the window for a new left winger with explosive pace, not in another number ten.
  8. Going off topic now but for me Lukaku at 18 was just as much unproven as Bruma is now. Sure, he had two good seasons at Anderlecht but to be honest being successful in the Belgian league isn't really all that extraordinary. Lukaku was on everyone's radar because of his potential, not because he was expected to produce immediate fireworks in the Premier League for a top club at the raw age of 18. Anyway, there's really no point taking this any further. Bruma is a top class prospect who really made quite an impression at the U20 WC, much like a certain Chelsea #11 did two years ago if I might add, and if Galatasaray think he's good enough to earn himself a big contract then so be it. If he really does become the 'next Cristiano' people will look at this deal as a proper bargain in a few years and if he fails, people will just forget all about him and the player is more than happy to have earned himself a fat paycheck. Win-win for all parties, I would say. I don't believe for a second that his proposed move to Chelsea didn't materialize because of his wage demands. Maybe the club just came to their senses and started thinking if it's really worth it to take this gamble when we already have players like Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Schürrle, KdB, Willian, Moses, Marin, Piazon, Kakuta and countless of other young attacking midfielders already at the club.
  9. 9m over five years is only 1,8m a year which in GBP amounts to £1,5m a season. Per week that's slightly below £30k and I'm fairly sure that even guys like Lucas Piazon or Josh McEachran at Chelsea are currently on similar wages and much like Bruma they've so far proven fuck all. And what about Lukaku? Two years ago he was a raw 18-year-old with only potential to become world class but the club still paid a high transfer fee and according to reports he's on wages of around £50k a week. In my opinion he's proven to be worth every penny of that money but that doesn't change the fact he was very much an unproven player when he signed and Bruma has the potential to look like a bargain too if he's even half as good as some people think he is. And as for PSG, they're already signing kids on massive wages. Only recently they bought the young French left-back Lucas Digne for 12m and gave him a contract worth 65k a week. That's simply how the big clubs do things these days and as much as we'd like to believe differently, Chelsea are no exception. Football's gone mad ages ago, nothing us fans can do about it.
  10. Can't really go wrong with this move. Liverpool will pay a decent amount of money for this loan without even getting an option to buy if he ends up being a massive success there like Sturridge and they'd only be doing us a favor by increasing the player's market value but if he fails we can still easily offload him next summer for around £5-10m.
  11. That was fast. Welcome on board, Samuel! I find it odd the club didn't tell his squad number in the article confirming his signing. Perhaps he's going to get a number that's currently taken? Ba's 19, Moses' 13 or maybe even his favoured number 9 shirt if we're lucky? He had 99 at Anzhi so if he wanted that, surely they would have let us know already?
  12. That's exactly why some people are complaining. Because he won't cost £50m he must be shit. Fantastic piece of business if you ask me. From what I've seen Anzhi he's mostly been good and Jose knows him so he will probably settle in quite nicely. Age won't matter because he's a free transfer and the contract is only short term. If he succeeds, he can be given a couple of one year extensions but if he fails he'll be gone by next summer and won't trouble the club no more. By the time he leaves or retires we will have a more mature Lukaku to claim a bigger role in the team but in the meantime he can learn from someone who at least used to be one of the best strikers in the world.
  13. Hoping for Marseille, Ajax and Celtic. What time's the draw?
  14. Sure, but his Bolton contract was about to expire that year so being an England international regular he most certainly would have got a good contract elsewhere had he waited till the summer and moved on a free transfer.
  15. Actually according to the official website he will wear 22 to honor the club legend Ross Turnbull.
  16. Why a loan? Either keep him or sell him, simple as that. He was great for Newcastle and we got him for below his market value because of the release clause only seven months ago so surely there's someone out there willing to pay enough for us to break-even.
  17. Haven't seen him but you just know a player isn't really any good when Porto are about to let him leave for less than 5 mil. What is going on at the club right now? This transfer window bullshit, can't take it anymore.
  18. Wouldn't read to much into that. The journalist asked whether or not it was true that Mata could be on his way out and Mourinho responded by saying he's going nowhere. How else could the guy summarizing the press conference have put it when he needed to let people know what question Mourinho was answering to when he said those words? That being said, the situation does worry me but the phrasing on the match report doesn't mean anything.
  19. Can't believe they are about to fall for the good old 'transfer request -> apology -> new contract with bigger wages' trick once again. I honestly thought he wanted to leave for footballing reasons this time around but guess not if he's now willing to sign an extension. Fair play to Rooney though, not everyone has the balls to pull off a stunt like that even once, let alone twice. This kind of stuff really does reflect poorly on United because they're simply letting the world know Rooney is bigger than the club. If they let one player blackmail the club like that, what's stopping their other star players from doing the same whenever they think they deserve more money?
  20. Can't fucking wait for the window to close next week, can't stand these rumors anymore.
  21. Can't wait for Mata to start and score against United tonight and shut up all these cunts who want him out. He's scored against them in all of our last three league meetings.
  22. Selling a player because he's not good enough usually works out well for everyone. The player will have got a lot of money during his time at the big club and there's no shame in admitting they're not cut out to be one of the best players in the world by moving to a club closer to their level and the bigger club can move on to a brighter future with someone else. However, when a player has no doubt been the club's best player for two seasons straight it makes absolutely no sense to sell him because there aren't many players out there who can fill the void. The star man doesn't want to go because he's fully settled in at the club as well as the city and knows he's loved by the fans so forcing him out of the club just so someone new can be bought in his place is harsh. And I believe you misunderstood me, I wasn't having a dig at Mourinho or the club for doing what they think is best for the future of the club but rather at the so called fans who wouldn't mind seeing Mata go. Seriously, the little Spaniard has been a revelation to this football club and this is the way some people wish to thank him, by telling him he's no longer wanted because they prefer some flavor of the month player who has done fuck all for the club? The way @BlueMourinhoKing said 'everyone will forget about Mata' once we get someone new is what strikes me as plastic. The people who are happy to see our best player go to a direct title rival just so the club can spend a lot of money on some flashy new player instead of staying loyal to the quality player we already have on our hands is what irritates me. I would love getting Wayne Rooney in the team but not if it meant losing any of our current players in an exchange deal. If you think the backlash is bad every time Sturridge scores a goal for Liverpool, multiple that by a 100 and you'll get a pretty good idea what it would be like each time Juan Mata helped Manchester United get a step closer to winning their next league title.
