  1. Will be interesting to see where the star of our national team Roman Eremenko ends up when he leaves Rubin Kazan. A 26-year-old creative central midfielder, moved to Rubin two years ago from Dynamo Kyiv for €13m and has been very impressive in the Russian Premier League ever since but he only has a year and a half left on his contract and there have been whispers that he's not happy at his current club and could be on the move as early as January. The Russian FA changed their regulations for this season so that despite being born in Moscow, Eremenko no longer qualifies as a non-foreign player because he represents Finland on the international stage and as some of you might know Russian clubs are only permitted to name a maximum of 7 foreigners in the matchday squad and because of that some of their foreign stars are bound to get unhappy when they know they're good enough but aren't playing because of some rules. I've heard that at least Napoli, Fiorentina, Inter and Everton have all been monitoring his situation and a while back there were even some rumors that Benitez asked Chelsea to buy him last January but his request was denied because obviously the club didn't want the interim spending any money. My money would be on him moving to Italy, he's played there before for Udinese and most of the clubs interested in his services seem to be from around there. Would love to see him in the PL though, no matter what club.
  2. Looks that way, unfortunately. He's class but things just haven't worked out for him at Chelsea. I still think it was Willian's unnecessary signing that sealed his fate but the way our new Brazilian has played I can't complain too much. Would be super frustrating to see Kevin perform for some other team on the level we all know he has the ability to, but in case he left we'd still have five great AMs and a chance could be given to the likes of Traore or Boga in case of injuries so I don't think we'd miss him as much as some people still miss a certain English centre forward who now plays for Liverpool. I guess the main thing would have to be ensuring he doesn't end up at one of our rivals in the PL.
  3. Yay, another classy attacking midfielder on the market. Maybe we should snap him up just so no one else can.
  4. Only noticed the competition now, hope I wasn't too late in sending the e-mail.
  5. Fuck, completely forgot about him. He could have been the goalkeeper. I don't think so. De Bruyne also played most of his games in a three-man midfield last season at Werder Bremen but now he can't get into the squad neither as an attacking midfielder nor as a central midfielder despite all our problems in the latter department. I see a lot of potential in KdB as a CM, even in a two man midfield, and I rate him much higher than Atsu but if he's not playing I really don't see Atsu making an impact any time soon either.
  6. Yes, but playing CM in a three-man midfield really doesn't matter much because the system at Chelsea has been 4-2-3-1 for a couple of years now and it doesn't look like changing anytime soon. I don't think Atsu is capable of playing in the pivot so that leaves only the three AM positions which are stacked at the moment. Way too much talent for the AM positions currently at the club and some of them simply have to leave even if we're not signing anyone new. Players like Atsu, Piazon and Traore are going to have a very hard time making their way into the squad when even the likes of Mata and De Bruyne can't get in the team.
  7. Ribery, Ronaldo and Zlatan have all been way better this calendar year than Messi who's been injured a lot. Zlatan is my personal favorite of that bunch but as long as Messi doesn't win I really don't care who does.
  8. Maybe the plan is to some day field a side like this: Reus Hazard - Mata - Willian De Bruyne - Oscar Schürrle - Atsu - Traore - Piazon Cech
  9. Best decision I've made in a long time on the internet.
  10. Next round is absolutely crucial. Here are some of the fixtures: Arsenal (1st) - Southampton (3rd) Everton (5th) - Liverpool (2nd) Manchester City (7th) - Tottenham (8th) Basically that means most of our rivals, if not all, will be losing some points and we simply have to take advantage of that.
  11. Today has been perfect for us so far with Spurs and Manchester City both losing their games. Would it be too much to ask for a draw at Old Trafford?
  12. I didn't realize the season was already over by November.
  13. Loic Remy has been great for Newcastle. Do they have an option to buy him from QPR at the end of the loan?
  14. I assume that was after the penalty when Ivanovic grabbed the ball to get it to the centre as quickly as possible?
  15. Why the fuck did the team start playing only when they got ahead? Our midfield is so much better with Mikel in it, should be a definite starter from now on.
  16. Liverpool 3-0 up already. We need to win this one with a comfortable margin to stay ahead of them.
  17. Ashley Young just earned United a penalty with his usual theatrics but Van Persie missed. Still 0-0. Juve - Real Madrid has been a good match. 2-2 at the moment.
  18. Obviously he was talking about last season, notice the past tense.
  19. Same matches here and also Shakhtar Donetsk - Bayer Leverkusen. Used to have a setup like that as well but it's much nicer to have the games on full screen and still have more than enough space for everything else so I got myself another monitor. Still have an extra laptop lying around somewhere and another monitor too but I've got no place for them on my desk so these will have to do, at least for now.
  20. Watching three games at the same time, one on the iPad and one on each of the monitors on my computer. It's kind of hard to focus on all of them.
  21. Well, fuck. I would have preferred the home shirt as well but yesterday they only had the away one with Hazard's name so I had to take that. If they keep this offer up long enough I may be forced to order another one in a few weeks and maybe then I could take the home shirt with either Mata or Oscar on the back so it's fine. This has definitely been good business for Sportsdirect because even at £20 a piece I suppose they make a decent amount of profit per shirt and no doubt the sales have gone through the roof these last few days. Can't even imagine how jealous the fans of other teams are when looking at those prices and then being forced to pay over £50 for their own team's shirt.
  22. Well, in my humble opinion he's been poor overall for a couple of years now but as I know not many people on here agree I chose to talk about this season only. But yeah, for me he's been shit ever since 2011. Back then he still had his moments and by turning up on the big occasions he played a big part in the club winning the CL and the FA Cup so we can't be too critical of his performances that season but even then he just didn't bother showing up most of the times. Add a couple of more players like that to the team (Drogba, Malouda etc.) and it's no surprise we ended up sixth in the Prem.
  23. Understatement of the century. All season he's been a huge liability at the back and these days he doesn't even offer much going forward either. It's not Mourinho restricting his role to accommodate the other seniors in the team, it's simply Cole being shit. Or how else do you explain Bertrand doing just fine in defense as well as attack when playing with the same teammates?
  24. What a team selection for me this week. Ramsey, Dawson and Coleman on the bench scored more points than my starting lineup combined.
  25. Just realized I'm not going to be able to watch the game. Usually that has meant a comfortable win and the last time that happened even Mikel scored a league goal so I'd say we're safe.
