With Coutinho out until November by some reports Moses should be a nailed on starter even when Suarez gets back. Golden opportunity for him now.

This is no shock honestly. Only reason he started v. Everton was to give Oscar a rest for the midweek(which didnt work to perfection since we had to chase the game in the second half). He'll have to give it another go with Fulham this weekend.

And their best player comes back in two weeks. Nice well-rounded team. They are no different than the Van Persie Arsenal of 2 years ago. They could well be into the champions league.

His ability to captain the midfield from the back into the final third. You could kind of see Luiz trying to do it at certain points yesterday too. There was a void in the midfield trying to get up field, and it pretty apparent after the 30 min mark or so. Even got to a point where Eto'o was dropping back in Attacking mid positions to try to spring someone else forward, which I found particularly successful in on a few occasions. Oscar feeding Eto'o is where I feel the goals are at this season. I think that was more of a failure with the formation though. 2-5-3 against a team with 2 attacking fullbacks their quality was always going to end badly for us. All they had to do was play wide and they pretty much controlled the match. Torres for Cole effectively ended the match.

Nobody is saying Mata is crap, but he has played like crap since the summer(before the Injury too) and even he would agree with that assessment.

The difference is KDB has actually looked decent when he has played. Mata has been ass since the confederations cup.

To be honest I dont think match fitness is the issue. He looked like this in the confederations cup final too. I think this is a consequence of him not being the focal point of attacks now.

Some may say hazard is our most important player, but I feel today kind of proved Oscar is. He controls the game in a way I feel no other player we have can. Must start midweek.

Would like to see him work on his shooting. Proved he can get in the attacking areas, but needs to take more care when he gets there.
