Play him as our striker till the end of the season - he already has more goals than Torres and as many as Eto'o. Our striker till the end of the season Eto'o can play behind him and hold up the ball
He made pretty much the same comments a few months ago, it's Eto'o; Ba and Torres's jobs to prove him wrong. Besides his comment was tongue in cheek and its fairly obvious the only striker he somewhat rates out of the three is Eto'o
He does actually have 42 goals about 15 of those are against Championship level teams. Jose has spoken Torres isn't even a striker as far as he is concerned
If I were to look at stats this way: Eto'o at Chelsea 123 minutes per goal/assist Sturridge at Chelsea 133 minutes per goal/assist Demba Ba at Chelsea 135 minutes per goal/assist So yeah Torres is worse than any of the strikers we have recently had/have 130 minutes is a value you should look for in terms of goals per minutes.
Needs to turn it up a gear; maybe a match or two on the bench might prove beneficial to him. Still a young lad, last year Hazard was also struggling with consistency.
Demanding money from Arabs is proof of his ego? How about the fact that Hughes played Chad Evans ahead of him; signed the likes of Jo; Santa Cruz; Adebayor; for about 50 million and took City to mid table. Torres must have a huge ego since his wage is 3 times higher than Sturridge in that case Anyhow lets move on from this: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/feb/24/liverpool-daniel-sturridge-luis-suarez-england-world-cup
Hazard is more important to us than Sturridge for Liverpool - when Hazard doesn't perform we struggle while Pool also have Suarez who might not be scoring in the last few weeks but he fucking creates at least three clear cut chances for team mates per match
