I'm the opposite. Can't stand seeing Pep get all this glory, for like you said, a bought team. He has come in and done nothing a bunch of other managers couldn't with this team. Sorry, but not overly impressed given the praise he gets. For some reason, he continues to get it despite having the most expensive team ever. City's second team is about on par with our first team. Liverpool for as miserable as they are at least have earned their way there. City is a bunch of BS that the media is loving every bit of because that wank Pep is there.

Have not been impressed with him. Disappointing really. Doesn't take enough risks, plays far too safe and is scared to shoot and go towards goal. Very tidy with the ball, but only passes sideways or backwards, He is quick enough and talented enough to push forward and give it a go.

Willian must be amazing in practice because he certainly keep having stinker after stinker in the games and gets selected. CHO deserves time on the field. In games that matter. He has proven he deserves it since he has scored or impressed every time he has gotten play time.

We sucked in the first half. Aside from that Hazard chance, we created nothing. Holding the ball for 75% of the game and doing nothing doesn't mean you're winning or playing better. Just means your wingers aren't direct and the team as a whole is clueless.

So why is CHO not getting a shot in the first team given the wingers are absolute garbage?

Just a lazy team. Everyone sitting on the line. No one moving trying to create lanes and triangles to pass amongst.

Cesc has been better than Jorginio in the limited time he has been on.

Chillwell is about 10 times better than Alonso.

Giroud is so bad. We bring on a guy who hasn't scored to come on and score? Ugh.

Would still prefer him at CF. Big enough to hold it up, and has twinkle toes enough to get out of trouble when needed. Rocket of a shot on him too, plus the right amount of pace if he gets in behind. Honestly think it would be perfect for him. Especially given his physical attributes, we can play a variety of ways with him. Go long or play it into him, or use him to work the ball through. He is quite good at everything.

My take from the game: We play boring, lazy and inefficient football. We have regressed since our first month and a bit. We created almost nothing outside of the goals we scored, and it is because we are lazy and inefficient. No vertical passing. No pressing around their box. Just a bunch of defenders and our defensive midfield playing it back and forth to one another and amassing another one of these 65% + possession games that look impressive on paper. That is our mindset though. Rest on the ball when we have it. Wait until something happens. Until something presents. We don't press and force action like a Barca, City or even Sarri Napoli. Nah, we just rest on the ball. Happy to have it, but don't need to do anything with it. RLC was a postive. Even when thrown into a new position each time, he is extremely effective. Doesn't really have a position, but he is the type of player we need. Dynamic and able to move the ball. Alonso needs to leave. Never liked him. Never will. Sorry. But you're the only player on this team, ever, that I can say that for. Kovacic isn't cut out for it. Doesn't do anything. A whole lot of sideways passes and not any action. Hazard drops too deep for me when he is playing CF. He looks good trying to get in behind the line. He is better when more direct.

Lot more holding of the ball, and not looking to move the opposition with quick passes. Hazard is largely responsible for it too. Holds the ball too long and tries to turn his player too many times when he doesn't beat them the first time. Pass the ball and move.

Alonso is my least favourite Chelsea player ever.

You'd think we'd hear something about Giroud missing two sitters on here, but not a peep. Some players have the privilege of making the same mistakes some others do on the team, but not get called out for it.
