  1. Really? He can actually carry the ball, shoot, and distribute it very well. That is 2 more things he does better than Jorgi. Not only that, he is super creative and able to pick passes out going forward. Creating chances is something we lack.
  2. Can we then do it for a forward as well?
  3. This kid any good? 12 million seems rather cheap.
  4. Cucurella looks better. Better in a better league. Looks tidier on the ball and a better passer.
  5. Surely we don't get De Jong. Seems like a pipe dream.
  6. I could be in the minority, but I don't necessarily think our attackers were the biggest problem. It was our wingbacks at times not being attacking enough causing a lack of synergy moving forward. And often times, given Chilly's injury all year, it was the inbalance of having one good at attacking, and then we have the likes of Alonso on the other side who doesn't give much aside from finishing. With Cucarella and James we will have FBs who can link up, play, take on and create now. I think both have quite nice shots on them too. I rate Havertz and Sterling up front. A more attacking minded/solid finishing midfielder/AMF is needed.
  7. Cucurella actually looks a nice option on the wing too. Very tidy on the ball and great passing.
  8. Are we going to be able to field 11 players?
  9. Havertz has a lot of dog in him. Not sure what you're seeing but he fires up.
  10. 55 million pounds for a 23 year old ball playing CB. Great bit of business in this market IMO. We have a good history with French/French speaking players and this fits the bill nicely and I'm sure the player will look at this as a long term move. Between Reece James, Colwill and Kounde, we are set up nicely for the future.
  11. Feel like we need a bull/monster in the middle. SMS would have been ideal. We are far too lightweight.
  12. What in the world. He is a massive, strong winger with speed and creativity. What exactly is he missing for the prem? He is more suited than a lot of guys.
  13. Don't waste time on Gnabry. Find a winger that is banging in goals and add him to the team. We need finishers. High work rate, and good finisher. Plenty of young, up and coming ones that can give the current crop a run for there money.
  14. Shows the quality we have going on at the moment haha...
  15. Would have hoped Deco painted a great picture about his playing time here to Raph, but eh. I'm not high on players who are keen on other countries all together, but other clubs too. It will always be there. City and Pool don't have this problem at the moment because they are painted as "fun" clubs for great attackers to play for. If we do come 3rd or 4th again this season, lets do it while scoring 100 goals even if it means conceding double what we usually do.
  16. Is SMS still the talent he was touted as all those years ago? Seems he never made the move and you heard less and less about him... I never really watched much of him. Anyone know a bit about him and seen him play? Still a good player?
  17. I like the Raphihna pick up. Despite his build, he seems to have a bit of bulldog in him, which I like. Same with Sterling if we get him. Dude isn't just gonna give up or get pushed around. I've actually been impressed by this from Kai as well. Think it is important to have grit in your front 3 as much as skill and pace.
  18. Exactly... He came in and delivered a CL already... lets be honest. We are capable of pretty great things under him. What we achieved with what I considered a significantly weaker squad than Liverpool and Man City is impressive. Give him time with an owner who backs him.
  19. Not sure what people have against buying off City, or any other great team if the player is on the bench. With the amount of talent they have, and some other teams, the bench players can be great pieces, or players that haven't gotten a proper chance due to not fitting the current system. Kovacic is a great example of this. I'm sure Salah isn't that good either who was sitting on our bench. KDB too. Why did Liverpool and City ever buy them... Ake is a nice piece. Not sure if he is what puts us over the top, but clearly a capable player and could shine.
  20. I'd rather let go of Pulisic than Werner. Might just be me though.
  21. After what the club has had to deal with, some of you are being a bit ridiculous with how quickly you want things turned on their head. Have patience and wait.
  22. Free, and costs can always be recouped even if he does turn out to be average.
  23. We let Salah go and he turned into a monster. I get that Pulisic is injured all the time and looks to be hit and miss in front of goal, but it describes Salah early on pretty well as well. Not saying Puli will ever get to that level.
