  1. I think my biggest concern, and it was only noticeable in the Southampton game, is that the players were snappy at each other and lazy. That - as a manager/coach is your role to fix and control. It was the first sign of toxic I saw.
  2. Interesting. I don't want a stop gap solution though. We need someone who will be here long term. Build on something. We do need to get back to winning, but I'd not take it at the expense of getting someone like Mou back in again as an example.
  3. Wins are important for next season, momentum, player motivation, etc.
  4. It could be 112 minutes extra and we wouldn't score. Who cares if its 12 or 14.
  5. I won't be staying up until 1am in Aus to watch this team. Not worth it.
  6. Absolutely. Losing to last in the league changes things. And I'm not infallible as a human and can admit I'm a hypocrite and wrong at times. Crazy, right?
  7. I hate watching us play. Just end up seething lol. Need Potter out.
  8. I'm all for Potter getting time. But you can't lose to teams like this. He probably should go. lol
  9. Ref is a dead set muppet too. So many incorrect calls.
  10. We're actually boring to watch. Not even kidding. Boring.
  11. How are we so bad? What is Potter telling these guys? Serious question.
  12. Great points. Look at that period 15-7 before he was sacked. Expected goals conceded rising consistently, and a massive jump from 0-7 just before. Same with the expected goals for, just a nosedive. Based on the chart, the bleeding has been stopped now - with a healthier and fuller squad. And a sharp rise recently for Potter. Lets see how we play moving forward.
  13. You must not rate our players if you think that line up loses to Southampton.
  14. I thought he looked quite dangerous and made some really nice plays when he did get on the ball. Obviously there were points he tried too hard and messed up - but - Mo Salah plays almost entirely the same way - and did so even at the peak of his powers - but the team around him was so supportive and good to farm his element of play that it didn't matter. Mudryk is very, very good already. Taking a few games to get up to speed is normal, and he has looked very dangerous when he has gotten in the right places. He needs to work harder and track back more in certain areas, but the guy is coming from off season, cold, to the most demanding league physically in the world. This forum is absolute horrid to read with the mopey bastards all over it.
  15. Exactly right. Go check videos on Youtube, and people are already calling Felix and Mudryk flops. It is hilarious. This forum is on that level. I remember seeing Auba knock in a goal - and it was - "See what having a proper 9 does". 3 weeks later - apparently he is done, and the writing was on the wall, what a terrible transfer. People flip flop like crazy on here. Go start building a house with timber, then be told half way through, you can actually use sandstone and it is far better - and you to be expected to be up to the same stage as you were before in a matter of minutes. Takes time; two steps forward, three steps back, before we finally take off. Mudryk, Enzo, Badiashille, Felix and Maduake have all looked brilliant to me in patches. Even Dortmund game where people complained Mudryk was trying too hard - he created some beautiful link up play and chances. Same with Felix. Got into all the right places but finishing let him down. We know he can given his goal at West Ham - but just wasn't his day. Maduake was fantastic for me on debut. Badiashille has been a wall, and Enzo has slotted in amazingly into EPL. Chelsea "fans" are spoilt silly. Spend $600 mil and they want success by the form of everyone rolling over and dying against us.
  16. I'm not going to sit here and pretend the keeper is to blame when our whole team got burned and didn't set up properly and he is left defending a 1 on 1... Could he? Maybe. Is he expected to? No. Those situations if the keeper does save, it is largely down to a bit of luck and getting the timing just right.
  17. The club has completely shifted its mindset and strategy, and people want it all to happen overnight. The same people whinging now are the ones that whinged the most when we didn't play nice football but still won, didn't promote young players, didn't build a solid core, didn't promote a certain brand of football and build on it. Now that we are trying to build that model, it is all, "what are we doing", "why aren't we winning", "new coach sucks"... I'm not infallible to all this either as I have a sook every now and then at a bad result and call for him out, but Potter has legitimately had no consistency with this team with injuries, etc, and now has a whole new team. Has he made a bunch of mistakes too? Yes. He is clearly a very capable coach - given how he setup his previous sides for success with what he had at his disposal. Our players went from playing an atrocious brand of football and losing. To his credit, we are looking better, and still losing. One problem at a time I guess.
  18. Yes - I'm sure we all look at Arsenal as some massive failure right now. What a ridiculous statement and overreaction. He has been given time and clearly built something great and continuing to do so. Shock horror that Arsenal might not win the league... I don't think anyone had them close the start of the season. Not to mention going up against the cheating City team - you step back and realise what they are doing regardless of if they get 1st or 2nd is fantastic. A complete turnaround.
  19. If we play like we did today and put away our chances in the second leg, we go through comfortably. It is what it is. A win of any sort, actually, a few on the trot regardless of how we play would do us wonders just for confidence and routine.
  20. Hope not. Players need to get used to the system he is trying to implement. Master one before fucking with anything else.
