Auba is actually doing a lot of good things on the pitch but not being used. He is the only one in the team trying to get between the lines and turn and look up. Mount should be doing a lot of this.

This is actually our biggest problem. No control over the game. We don't have a good DMF to pace the game and we don't have a creative one either.

Nkunku looks a real real talent. Quick, great shooting both inside and outside the box. Seems to have a good rhythm and understanding of the game. Super impressed by his ability to find a man running through the channels. Would be stoked if we get him. A young, pacey forward who knows how to put the ball in the back of the net.

He looked really good against Real despite the loss. Also - his stats seem to be pretty decent again. Must be an us thing, and not the players so much. Hopefully Potter turns things around and makes it a want for players to get here and perform well. Chelsea has a cloud over it particularly for offensive players.

So we clearly did a lot better, since I can't remember that from any of our games bar Tottenham.

As we all know, massive changes should have happened on our first game. Becoming the best team in the world was the only acceptable option. Potter just got the team and needs to figure some things out clearly.

Their approach at the Dodgers is lauded and heralded as a massive positive. They've been extremely successful since taking over there. They clearly know how to run a club. Tuchel is a polarising figure. No ways around it. It wasn't deemed as effective for them long term, and to be honest the brand of football we were playing wasn't great.

I agree. When Boehly and team came in, I expected Tuchel to be here for the long haul. Saying that though, he wasn't the manager they chose, hence, things must have gotten pretty heated for him and company to want to part ways. Dave Roberts of the LA Dodgers has produced some pretty unspectacular results given the team and money he has to play with, as well as the allure of the Dodgers and LA as a name in baseball. I think Potter will be given time and leniency to build something. I think Boehly is a student of the PL and the game of football. I'm sure he is seeing a blueprint of what Liverpool and Man City have done, and that is provide continuity to growth by having a stable environment for the manager and players who come in. Even for players - coming into a team where the head coach has been there a while - it lets them know they're part of the picture and that the stability to see them there long term is in mind.
