  1. Facundo funnily enough means - OMG it was so much better with Roman and these sporting directors are shit - in pig latin. I think that is so beautiful to be honest.
  2. Also - apparently we broke a transfer window record for most sales (263 million pounds).
  3. Won us a club world cup. Happy with Cole, Cucu, Pedro, Levi and Moi. Lavia too when he actually plays. Early days but Delap looks like he has a bunch of talent too. So again I struggle to see where the issue is when they've been some of our best signings...
  4. Are you contrarian for the sake of it? 4 of our 5 best players are Brighton former players. Cucu, Moi, Pedro, Levi... Haven't exactly gone wrong dipping into that well have we?
  5. Interesting... He falls in the same line of players as Neto, McTominay and Semenyo - meaning, every time I have watched them play, they have impressed me a great deal, but I don't actually know how good they are overall until I get other peoples opinions. As per the above players, its generally been a good source of turning out correct by pure chance.
  6. I really don’t think it’s that bad. If you’re okay with going to Spurs it tells you where your ambition lies. Not high enough. This isn’t anywhere near as catastrophic as people make it out to be. We are fairly set in attack anyway.
  7. If we get Rogers I’d rate our attack as right up there with the best in the world.
  8. I was happy to see Gallagher go. I'd want Fermin here though. The logic of "If he is good, why would they want to sell"? or "*Insert team name* fans all say he is terrible so we shouldn't buy him" don't mean anything. Barcelona sold Neymar - I guess he was shit? We sold Hazard. R9 was sold so many times in his career. Ashley Cole got sold. Why did Liverpool sell Suarez. I'm just going to stop because this reactionary board would eat itself with backwards logic brought to light.
  9. Edgy again because I’m not jumping to conclusions after a game worth of assessment? It’s an internet forum mate. Couldn’t give two shits how it’s perceived. Dortmund fans mocked us? Oh they must know it all. Just like how City fans mocked us buying Palmer and saying thanks for helping us get Doku. They really showed us! Clearly I’m wrong and we have all seen enough. Hope he doesn’t play anymore because we know he’s shit now. Just commenting how hypocritical some are when a player who wasn’t wanted doesn’t hit the ground running from minute 1.
  10. Cool. Cucu, Neto and Caicedo should all have left as well based on that.
  11. How are you making this call after 1 game? He was BVBs second leading scorer despite getting benched at the end due to not being in the new managers plans. He scored 2 less goals than Xavi and Wirtz despite playing less minutes. So where is this assessment coming from? Aside from the 50 minute cameo - where he actually looked better than Palmer and J Pedro that game funnily enough.
  12. lol the nonsense on here. Happens every single time. You guys pile on to signings you don’t like. Bloke has played one game and we are acting like he is off the pace. This forum is absolute shambles when we aren’t winning every second of the day. The first 15 mins of the West Ham game thread is another great example of this.
  13. Paez isn’t anywhere near as good as he’s made out to be.
  14. Rio is talented but you can’t get every young golden boy. I honestly don’t think he’s close to the talent Estevao, Dowman and a few others are. Also as I stated, Pool look very shaky and I don’t think they will go on some crazy unchallenged run.
  15. I haven't really been impressed with Hincapie. But people on here act like everything is gold when they go to another team.
  16. Agreed. The type of passes that Santos played to Delap in one of the preseason games are the ones that cut teams open. Our guys really don't ever want to try those passes, yet we, like a lot of teams love doing risky passes around the back but won't do it in an attempt to cut teams open.
  17. Would like to see a bit more risk in attack. We recycle way too much. Often times there is clearly room to attack free space.
  18. That was obvious live. wasn’t worried.
  19. Eze isn’t that good lol. Jeez people act like he is a world beater on here.
  20. I remember when we won the CL in 2021 and everyone was saying "and we're just getting started"... Football changes quick. Salah and VVD are crucial and they aren't getting any younger. Despite how Diaz was rated, I think he added a lot to their team. On the other end, I don't think Wirtz is the top, top, top talent everyone makes him out to be.
  21. I actually really like these buys, especially through our sister club. Low risk, huge upside. Its especially valuable when we have everyone on here who was sure Nkunku would shine bright and be amazing. Yet here we are... That is where signings like this are great. 12 million pounds and he goes off to France to see if he can put it together - if so - replace one of the guys that maybe didn't pan out here. It is a great long term model. We are on an upward trajectory and everyone wants the success now. We just won the club world cup... And the league is at peak competition right now. As soon as these older teams drop off, we're set to do well. I don't think Liverpool will be a powerhouse for much longer. City is in a weird spot. Arsenal has put their trust in a manager who is going to be asked some hard questions if they can't put it together now...
  22. Next time you look at our jersey tell me what that thing is in the middle between our badge and the kit manufacturer. Its right in the middle. Let me know if Arsenal has one of those.
