Been watching Bologna and Joshua Zirkzee would actually be perfect next to Cole and Jackson either side. He plays amazingly with his back to goal and picks out passes so well. Perfect for when we are going against these park the bus teams. Even have Nkunku playing just behind.
-
Yep - his in between game is non existent. If he isn't having a moment of magic, it is nothing from him. Like playing with 10 men. His work rate is horrendous.
-
He is calling out the inconsistency. It has ruined football. Use it for offside and nothing more.

Andy Cole clearly knows a shit tonne more than this forum. I've read weak wrists for goalkeeper, and how it can't be cured. I've read finishing can't be fixed. I've read players being a final product and can't improve after 21. Our forum clearly knows everything.

Glad you shared this. Half of these aren't even bad misses. The first 40 seconds alone is him taking terrible shots that were not even a half chance. You could make a montage of most strikers taking dumb shots like this. Few good saves from the keeper in passes that weren't anywhere near good enough to him. And then some horror misses no worse than you'd see from the likes of any other striker. Everything for him is amplified because it hangs by a thin string here at Chelsea. Plenty of talent and the right tools there. The same numptys that are saying "oh we finally signed a finisher" when the likes of Morata and Lukaku were signed, were the same ones complaining they forgot how to score when they came here. Fans don't know shit - and he keeps doing the right things. Its a game of numbers, and they will start sinking in with more than a fucking season of experience. Yet fans here dogpile on him because he is an easy scapegoat after the penalty thing - and you can blame it on attitude and the lot. He is a good footballer now even with his flaws and how frustrating he can be. "Finishing can't be learnt" - some of you are easy to pick in terms of who has never played a sport at a decent level.
-
I'd take Nunez here as well.
-
Literally matched Drogba's output in his first season in the PL. With less experience.
-
I've found out it doesn't matter who we get, because most Chelsea fans are spoilt brats who will slag any player as not good enough if we aren't winning titles that year.
-
Based on what? One season? He has shown more upside than downside, and he is being expected to lead the line in his second pro season. All of you will end up complaining when some of these guys go, and start playing like stars because you aren't patient enough to let players grow into their own.
-
Can't wait for Jackson to leave and start banging in goals. Then having all the experts on here saying "he never did that for us". Yeah, because you judge a player after 1.5 years of playing in the top league. Calling for everything to be ransacked again after another season filled with injuries and inconsistency in line up. In a year where we've generally performed well against the top teams and struggled to be flat track bullies.
-
People here are delicate and soft. Grow a pair. 2 subpar seasons and you lot throw the shit out the pram. Fold like lawn chairs. This team is a couple pieces and a few improvements to players away from competing regularly in top 4.
-
I know its bad when people are saying they miss Havertz and that he was actually good for us. lol... No he wasn't - he did less than Sterling, Cole and Jackson for us in his last season. The difference is playing on a settled team, and one that is in shambles now with no consistency in play.
-
Clearly Anelka is the outlier there, and more so directed at the other two... Funnily enough Anelka ended up being the average goal scorer and not a real CF out of the three in the end... CHO was never as good as Jackson is now - so moot point lol.
-
I didn't start the comparison. I was the one told he is way worse than strikers of the past - when the fact is production wise - he isn't. And on the field he does some very good things for us. In a stunted, injured, disrupted and offensively challenged team - he has decent stats. The CF you all laud over who didn't start playing until mid January is scoring at a worse rate and with worse shot accuracy... Even last year, he had 14 goals from open play, Jackson has 10 so far with the season not over. All of this in his first year in the league at 22.
-
Agreed. One season makes a player, and better yet, one game does as well. Its a good thing we got rid of Salah and others for the same reason.
-
He will NEVER reach their level? You have rose tinted glasses on. Its a lot easier to be satisfied with your striker when the rest of the team is doing their bit and winning as well. Maybe go back and check some of the seasons Costa and DD had as seasoned vets let alone first year in the league and second pro season - and how much they actually "took their chances". He has more goals than Hojlund who is similar age... He has more goals than Toney who people want us to get in and pads with penalties... Lack of killer instinct is a cop out. He is a young player who is learning and probably fluctuates in confidence. I would prefer him at the wing as well, but he absolutely can be and is a front man too. A lot of his better attributes are more suited to the wing, or slightly behind because he is so good at carrying the ball up the field.
-
His age and actions have nothing to do with it. Costa and Drogba were throwing fits a lot of the time. Lets not play pretend. His attitude isn't poor. He is a relentless worker who doesn't stop running. He had one penalty incident. Drogba had them too. Costa had plenty of run ins. Drawing confluence to his off games and then "actions" such as the penalty thing and deeming them as the reason he isn't good enough for us is ridiculous. He is passionate and immature, but clearly there is a good player there. Expecting it all to click this early in his professional career is a lot.
-
Jackson at his age is better than all of those guys. Jackson isn't a sole reason we are where we are. Building up a clearly talented player in this period is exactly what is worth it. Y'all laud over the likes of Saka and others - who had exactly that - time in shitty seasons to become the players they are. We aren't a top 6 team, but it certainly isn't solely due to Jackson.
-
Our fans are absolute shite. Blaming a 22 year old for an unfortunate game of finishing. Dude works hard and does all the right things but is inexperienced. I back him. Not always going to go your way, but he has had a pretty decent season first year in a team that is highly unsettled, dysfunctional and all over the place. He will benefit from having VO here next season and playing more on the wing. Good young player who needs time. Our fans are lumps of shit for treating him this way.
-
Should be one we go for in that 50 mil range. Isak would have been great but people here acted he was average after a little dip where he no doubt knew he was leaving. Wouldn’t be shocked to see people dismiss this move as well.
-
Being used incorrectly. But - he is the one sacrificing his role and way of play because Poch is clueless in making a system that fits his midfield.
-
Locko looks a good player - what we need. Nico Williams is a no from me. Looks sloppy on the ball and just another runner at the moment in the vein of Mudryk. Need someone a bit more powerful on the ball.
-
Its not that we drew. Its that we were actually outplayed by them with 10 men. Poch needs to be sacked. Doesn't matter who the manager is after him. It just can't be him.
-
Poch needs to be sacked. Having him at the helm is like having a Ferrari and driving it 20kmh.
-
Need to get rid of every CB, and get a new coach. Poch is dogshit.
