What do you see? I've watched a little and he just doesn't strike me as anything special. Maybe I'm missing some traits of his.
-
Dortmund is in the CL final, and 35 million is nothing these days. They can get fooked and pay a record fee for him. Cheap bastards.
-
What is peoples biggest reservation? That he hasn’t coached PL before? Eh. The ones that have are ones that have proven they aren’t good enough or mid table good. Glad we are going for it with something new. Leicester players rate him. All said he approached the game in a new way. Plus they all seem to like him. Another positive. Worked with Cole and Lavia before too. Think he will make our midfield click. Poch never really figured it out and our leads never felt safe even against small teams.

You know - this is the first manager we've gotten where they haven't simply talked about how good a "man manager" he is. People and the media are talking about the style of football he plays and what he expects out of players. I for one... see this as a positive.
-
City fans also laughed at us for buying Cole Palmer for the price we did. In fact, most of the league did. Reality is - no one knows shit.
-
The more I read and see of him, the more I like it. Leicester's team in the championship was overhyped considering the amount they lost, and regardless - he was expected to win, and he did. From everything I've watched, they played some beautiful football at times, and faltered when the midfield was injured. Lucky for us - we've got plenty of decent midfielders. I think the likes of Nkunku, Cole, Sterling and Jackson play quiet well in tight spaces - so we will see.
-
RDZ just seems like the obvious choice given his previous experience with the players we have... I don't get it.

You're conflating things that aren't the case. If someone says they don't like a BMW, that doesn't make them a hater of all cars. These distinctions are important.

I'm not sure I understand. Letting people into a country illegally is what over time causes a downtrend in a country - both economically and values/safety wise. Same way you wouldn't invite strangers into your home without vetting them.

Completely agree. Even when we were a dominant force in Europe, there were times where we bended to our opposition and played super defensively - under Mou as an example. I want to see us be the hammer damn near all the time. Be fluid and malleable - able to adjust - but do it in a somewhat structured and rigid manner, within our system. The more you have of the ball - the less the opponent has to be able to create something and score.

I'm thinking it is De Zerbi. Just putting the pieces together. Cucu, Colwill and Caceido all played under him at Brighton. He was the one getting the best out of Mudryk at Shaktar. Plays the possession heavy, attacking style that owners want. Is the coach lauded for his ability to work with younger players.

I'm not sure what you're alluding to - but illegal immigration is a huge problem in the USA. I don't think it is racist to not want illegal immigration.

Exactly. Just like the modern working world - some people are granted opportunities and others aren't. Narrative, bureaucracy and right place-right time all play a part in things. I had tech sales people with 10+ years experience in my team earning $200k+, who didn't know half as much, or have a structure as good as the guy I got off the physical sales side who was earning 3 times less prior. Like Gasperino said - he isn't any better or worse having won the trophy recently than he was the day before. De Zerbi is lauded in a lot of circles. Guy clearly knows what he is doing, and has a particular way to play football. He came 6th the year before with not even half at disposal of what we have. Pretty much identical points.

Trumps economic policies are actually more centric and left leaning. Regardless of who runs the country better, sentiment is(was) better under Trump.

Just watched an Eze highlight video too. These guys are both insane. Think Eze would be an even better fit as he plays centrally as well, so him and Cole can rotate. Anyone watched enough of Palace to comment which of the two is better? More suited to us?

The CPI on things are skewed. Food and everyday items are still running rampant as far as prices. They cater to those numbers by controlling energy and oil prices. Makes things look a lot better. Also America is a poison on the world as far as "woke" issues. I can't believe we've gotten to a point where we can't say men are men and women are women. Its spreading all over the world. The quicker they stop pandering to 0.1% of people who yell the loudest about things that don't matter, the better.

Hazard>KDB.

In a way - I'm glad Man U is ahead. Bit over seeing Pep beat records with this cheat team assembled from 115 infractions. I'd rather us build and do it 5-10 years later. Double 2 years in a row.
-
Hell no. They could actually string together passes against us. KDB has forgotten how to dribble the football this game.
-
Its so gross cheering for City.
-
McTominay is so underrated.
-
City will win 3-2.
-
That was a beautiful goal from United. Stunning.
-
United is actually outplaying them. City doing what we do and just holding possession and doing nothing with it.

Olise looks to be an absolute gun. Would love him here. Hopefully this time we can get it across the line.
