No idea who plays nor do I care. Semi respectable first half, utter capitulation in the 2nd and beaten by a rotten man utd team. Sarri still in charge as the 4th spot sails into the sunset. 

This guy must be kind of frustrating to play with if you're a winger. Modern day fullbacks are supposed to provide the width, constantly overlap for wingers, be a dribbling threat & put balls into the box. Alonso on the other hand plays like a poacher.
He exploits the space Hazard attracts & creates rather than actually taking attention off him. Hazard is one of the best dribblers to ever play so it works somehow but I can't see him playing like this at any other club.
It's working so far though but it's just strange to see the leftback take up the wingers half-space to shoot, instead of stretching the play and creating space for the winger

Apparently had 100+ touches today. When was the last time a non-defender, hell ANY Chelsea player had 100+ touches in a game vs the big 6? Certainly not under the previous regimes. Normally it was Courtois with the most touches  
Hopefully those days are gone and never to be remembered. No doubt Jorginho is one of the best deep-lying playmakers in world football. Still needs to adjust to the speed and tempo of the English game though. 

Alonso and Marcelo are the only players i ever saw that can be motm and worst in the pitch in the same game.

Serie A is quite popular in New Jersey actually because of the Italian Americans and in Miami La Liga of course.

I’ve been with this man since his Inter days. My fucking son will be in a Chelsea kit next season - these are genuine tears man.

Agreed, It was a decision he needed to make to show his intent. Once the games start coming fast and furious he will be playing alot and in a system that suits his skillset. He looked to move the ball forward a bit quicker than Barkley on saturday. Obviously came on when huddersfield was tired but still, if he can build a bit each time he is on the pitch thats a positive for the team. Talk about an overhaul of our midfield from weakness to strength.

Still can't believe we signed my son Mateo Kovacic. Chelsea really signed one of my favorite players in footy. 
Time for Sarri to fix Kovacic after Zidane ruined his development. Madness incoming this season. 

Love the mentality of Ruben deciding to stay at Chelsea. 
He will get so much guidance and tutelage under Sarri training under him the entire season. And 2nd - with Europa league, I have no doubt he will get playing time and first team starts. 

No title challenge for us with him spearheading the way unfortunately guys. 

In the minority here, but I’ve always been a supporter of Courtois. Man has been a fantastic GK for CFC. Just because he’s not a yer da ‘ blind loyalist shouldn’t lead to people acting like he wasn’t a Top GK for us. Let him go to Spain and be with his family, that's obviously at the heart of his refusal to extend his contract. 
People forget, but at the end, Cech was very shaky dealing with crosses, FKs & corners. TBO stepped in and showed A1 command of his penalty area. Admittedly, he hasn’t pulled off many “iconic” performances like Cech, DDG or even Atletico TBO, but he’s been solid nontheless.

And rightly so, 4 years of Courtois still beats 4 years of this version of Cech. We didn't choose Tibo because he was younger, we choose him cause he was better. 

Whatever happens with Sarri if he does come, I just hope that the stigma of positive attacking football and winning things being impossible in conjunction to some in our fan base is dispelled. 

I highly anticipate Chelsea switching to a 433 next season, but even then......Fabregas' influence needs to be limited next season. The way Conte used him last season was most ideal. He was predominately on the bench, and used very sparingly. Football is all about athleticism + pressing, and hiding Fabregas's defensive deficiencies is getting harder and harder to do. 
Seeing reports chelsea want Jean-Michael Serri, and if that's the case, then Fabregas' time here at Chelsea may be drawing to a close. Not sure who will take him though with his age/high wages and with his contract due to expire next summer... I expect we'll just keep him and let his contract run-down. 

Chelsea is still an elite club, many of top managers would job on board easily. 
If they go with Jokanovic, it surely means they believe in him and is a good fit.
Conte(Juve), Sarri(Napoli), Simeone(Atletico), Zidane(Madird), and Guardiola(Barcelona) were coaching at 2nd tier leagues before they become a known commodity at those clubs. 
 

So how do people feel about Willian now compared to Hazard? How is what Hazard said about us needing better players even near this? Crazy how one game changes everything. 

Talk that talk. Finally some pressure on the suits. It doesn't matter if it comes from a manager. They're just passengers. But from your star man and most marketable player, that's something different.
It will be interesting to see how they respond (referring to their actions in the market this summer).

if losing Willian helps us getting Martial I'm all in for it 

He wants to win the CL before he retires, if we can only offer him a long shot at it he will consider his options regardless of how he feels for the club. He has nothing left to prove loyalty wise, he came here in the first place when he could have wrote his own cheque at any club in Europe AND given us 6 years of service, that is a ridiculously long time in the modern day, especially for someone who had no prior connection to us.

Ultimately it would be another player past his best days heading to United, and unlike Mata and Matic, Willy was never even that great in his prime.
The only way it could haunt us is if we fail to replace him properly (ofcourse that's a possibility) but if United are prepared to pay stupid money or give us Martial for a player who ultimately is inconsistent and wildly erratic in the final third, i'd take that all day long.

Going against the grain here but he really isn’t that good imo. As long as we replace properly he won’t be missed.
