Agreed. Remember the beginning of last season? We were soooooo clinical. It was like every other shot on target was a goal. Obviously we werent gonna keep that conversion rate up, but we desperately need to go on a hot streak cause i dont trust this defense at all.

The price doesn't bother me, especially when you consider the fact he may service this club for 10+ years, i think it's worth it. Stones and Zouma is a mouth-watering proposition. Both are mobile, young and showing showing such great promise already. Throw in Baba and Azpi and suddenly we can play a high line, compress the field, and that makes Costa and Company's pressing job that much easier. Matic has less ground to cover too, and when we win the ball high up the field it makes for easier goal-scoring opprotunities. And if it costs 40M to do this, then so be it.

Typically we would have started the season on good form then have had a very dark/toxic cloud around Chelsea in October/November. I'll take some solace in the fact this is all happening in August, after matchday 2.
