We all know that final decision is on ref hand. But this situation happen in a game tons of times. It was simple long ball. The moment the linesman wave his flag. It was offside. If by waving his flag, it is not offside then what is the point of having linesman doing offside check. Let's just forget it and let VAR do the offside. That is why in WC, linesman was instructed to lower their flag in close offside situation. It is to prevent this situation . It was simply a botched VAR application.

VAR is new and before VAR implementatiin they need to meet with all coaches and captain from each team to have discussion how VAR is going to be implemented

The moment the linesman wave his flag, Oliver should have blown the play dead. This is not the case of the ball hit opponent then it was not offside, it is a simple long ball. I personally have no idea on top of my head anybody that we can realistically sign that can provide fabregas passing quality. I read a while ago that Fabregas said that it is a shame that Sarri did not come to coach him earlier, and he is going to be spectacular playing either jorginho or kovacic position.

I agree he is not really a brilliant goalscorer but he scored 20,12 and 20 in epl in three season. That is really good number. For me H=he bring physicality and nastiness to our team, something that we really lack of. His finishing is not the best, but I still have confidence that It will go in. With Morata and Giroud I have 0 confidence. Recently, whenever I saw any of our striker play, I honestly don't see them scoring at all.

Imo, if we have Diego Costa right now instead of Morata we will be talking about completely different team. We have no goal getter in this team beside hazard. Plus we need another creator, I honestly thought Kovacic is going to be that guy, clearly he is not.
