Your CB need to be good on the ball in 3 man defence and Im not sure about Zouma.

I agree that Hazard need to be more consistent but in most game he is our only creator especially when Fab is not playing. Asking him to do that every game especially when the team is not playing well is asking too much imo. Even Messi cannot do that every game.

Replacing cahill will help but will not solve the crosses from that position. It is one of the problem playing this system. with only two cm and without any help from the striker, there is going to be overload on the wing.

I did not watch the game but saw the highlight of the goals that we concede. It was almost identical, two crosses from the right side of the field slightly above the penalty box. It is not a new problem, it is the same area that Pep tried to exploit in our game against City, KDB kept popping up in that position to deliver dangerous cross. There are a few solution imo, First ask Hazard to track defender, this is not a sound change because we want hazard to spend most of his energy going forward, The 2nd solution is to replace Azpi with maybe Iva, so rather than stopping the cross we just deal with the cross better. Then we move azpi to moses position, this is also not a perfect fix because on the ball iva is such a poor player and it is important to have player that is good on the ball in 3 man defense system. The 3rd solution is to play 3 man midfield so we can cover that area better, plus with Fabregas in the team we are a much better team in term of ball movement and attacking phase but we definitely will lose some of our counter attacking threat (a box to box player should be our target next season). Hopefully, Conte can find a good solution, I don't think there is a perfect solution with our current squad nevertheless with such clear weaknesses in our team, we are 5 point clear on top of the table.

Every team that play against us try to do that. Stoke try to isolate crouch against azpi,united did the same thing with ibra.

Their CB are horrible Stones is too young to be the guy, kompany is injured all the time and otamendi is just simply horrible. nah that is not true, city is playing with kdb and silva as part of midfield 3. Oscar problem has never been about physique,it is more of about his inconsistency and for so called creative player his technical ability is not good enough ( mata case is obvious, he is just very weak physically). In term of Veratti, i haven't watched enough of his game to judge whether he can play in EPL physically but technique wise he is good enough. And moreover in our team we play with two destroyers (kante and matic), as you see against palace we don't look vulnerable at the back even with fabregas playing.

I am not sure how they do it in rugby but you have to be very careful how you are going to implement video tech. Who can make the decision? Can the 4th official make the decision or the ref need to run to the side to watch the replay? For what incident ? Let's say penalty and red card. when do you stop the play to review? How do you determine whether that is a penalty or not? (slow motion or real time) and when can you review? Remember penalty and red card are subjective.

I think most agree with video replay but the implementation of it need to be considered very carefully if not it is going to be like nba/nfl. Too much video replay and the game become very patchy.

I think it depends on who you buy. Ozil is a wonderful player but not the kind of player that will win you game. Sanchez has been terrific, robben is world class, sneijder was the key player for inter. Pedro is a fine squad player.

His ability to drift and find space and his wonderful delivery are what make him special. There is no reason he cannot play as part of front 3, because in this system pedro/willian is not playing as winger, they tend to get the ball closer in the middle. As pure winger, he will struggle but as front 3 I think he will flourish I think even Hazard said he does not have to playing out wide all the time in this system

Luis Suarez teared EPL apart in his last season, he was EPL top scorer without penalty and he was leading assist man ( I think gerard beat him by one assist in the end). I also saw stat from a site that in that season he created the most clear cut chances without taking set pieces. I forget where I saw the stats but it was obvious he was the best player in EPL by a mile in that season
