Completely agree. In the beginning I thought we can get away with not having fab in our team because we can create ton of chances with 343. But as teams start to adapt to this tactic we are back to our old selves, we looks clueless without fab.

I hate talking about winning mentality, I think spurs problem has nothing to do with mentality. Pochetino has done extremely well with this team. Their team is good with little weaknesses, what they lack is one player who they can give the ball and go do something like hazard.

This has been the argument for years and it is not going to happen. 1. He said it a couple times he does not like playing at that position 2. This is related to no 1, playing as striker this days require you to be more than just goalscorer, you cannot just stay wide and make run into the box which is how Ronaldo score most of his goals. You have to be the reference point, hold the ball, make selfless run to create space.

I agree with you that this barca team look like current city team but I think you underestimate pep as a manager. There is a reason he was one of the most sought out manager in the world. He is actually more flexible than most people think. Yes he value possesion football but his team is setup not to just play one way. His barca teams has one of the best set of players I have ever seen so let's not discuss about them. But his Bayern team was a machine, they don't play just short possession, they scored plenty of goals simply from a long ball from Boateng to Lewandowski. His cut in fb tactics was designed to stopped counter attack and to allow their two best players to shine (the two wingers). But will his possession philosophy works in England, I think we will find out next season
