Don't understand why we need Hulk or Moses. I thought Oscar would be given the starting job on the right, with Hazard/Marin on the left and Mata/Hazard in the centre. I'd feel bad for Moses if he comes to Chelsea just to sit on the bench because Wigan need Moses to survive relegation.
-
We need a CM/DM. Not Hulk. Not Cavani. If Hulk comes, what happens to Oscar, you can't leave a talented kid like him on the bench.
-
Hope the kid signs for Chelsea. I like the idea of signing talented players in the 18-23 age group. It'll let them develop together as a group...and even if they don't quite develop in 3-5 seasons time, we can still sell them off for a decent fee.

Ryan showed his ability in the Championship. He was a fairly consistent LB for all the teams he played for...and I'm glad RDM gave him the chance. PvA hasn't really shown much ability or consistency on his loan spells, apart from 3-4 decent games in his loan spell at Coventry way back in 2009. The kid was touted as a possible successor to Van Bronckhorst at the LB spot for Netherlands...has failed to live up to expectations. According to various dutch scouting reports, he's got a very poor attitude towards learning and he's quite lazy around the training ground.

Hulk has a contract until 2016..Porto don't need to 'lower his price'...he seems satisfied with life in Portugal & it's not like he's gonna hand in a transfer request (like Modric) and try to force through a move to Chelsea.
-
Bale isn't that great. He won't be world-class.
-
Why not try to mould McEachran into a deep-lying playmaker? That's about the only position he can play in a 4-2-3-1 formation & he's got the passing range, vision, football IQ to succeed...
-
Yeh, he'd be a good fit at Chelsea. But at 40 million, Modric is a waste of money.
-
So true. The guy is acting as if he's a world-beater...wanting 200k a week. I bet he'll be a flop next season.
-
Drogba is irreplaceable. What a beast of a player. Hope he comes back to the Bridge someday in some sort of coaching role.
-
It is from the Daily Mail...so could be bullshit....but if it's true, That is Awesome News. Now...if only Chelsea would let go of Malouda...
-
Might be like Dean Ashton.
-
Good to see AvB trying to change Chelsea's style of play. We had them on the backfoot for the first 10-15 minutes, Djourou was all over the place as was Andre Santos...but we failed to capitalise on our early domination...we let them back into the game, Ramsey/Gervinho/Walcott were given enough time and enough space to exploit our defence...and with RvP full of confidence, he made us pay with a hat-trick. I think we need to invest into our defence as-well-as the right-wing. Malouda should be sold, he's finished.
-
Just hope McEachran, Romeu & Bertrand continue to get minutes in the Carling cup. I was just wondering, couldn't we try one of our promising youths in the RB (Todd Kane/Billy Clifford) spot...don't think they could be much worse than Bosingwa
-
Not sure if Mikel & Ramires will be playing together...it's more likely that AvB would go with Mikel - Meireles - Lampard in a three-man midfield. I'd expect Ramires to feature off the bench.
-
Are Parma willing to let him go? He'd be a decent option (if it was a cut-price deal)..but I'd still prefer Hazard for the longer term...even though Lille won't budge on their asking price of 35-40 million.
-
Unfortunately he only got 60 or so minutes.
-
Heard great things about him a few years back...but I don't think Chelsea need Giovinco..and i'm not sure that Giovinco would even want to move from Serie A because he'd just end up on the Chelsea bench for the next 5 or so years of his career.
-
I think he tested Fabianski with two low-drives..as-well as putting in a decent cross for Klasnic..who should have scored off it. Still don't get the point of the loan...he could have played for Chelsea in the Carling Cup..considering AvB has given chances to youngsters such as Josh; Romeu & Lukaku. Are we going to loan him out again in January...if so, he should go to a team where he is guaranteed regular game-time...and by the looks of things, most of the EPL sides already have decent-enough wingers OR his skill-set wouldn't suit their tactics/style of play. He could be loaned to a Championship side...or even to a French side...
-
Just depends whether Moyes will give his youngsters game-time or not.. Won't be easy at Goodison. Just hope we win, move onto the next round and then start worrying about Arsenal.
-
Don't think Barkley is worth 20 million. I'd prefer Chelsea to buy De Bruyne (wants to play for CFC) & Lucas Moura (awesome talent, he'll probably be signed up by Madrid/Barca/United sometime soon)
-
Bosingwa made a fair challenge. There was a bit of pushing and pulling from both SWP and Bosingwa..and both of them fell at the same time...the ref didn't even see it clearly..so i dont know how he gave a red card. It should have been a free-kick and a yellow card, nothing more.
-
Will be interesting to see our response against Everton...who will be full of confidence after their 3-1 away win against Fulham
-
I hope Lampard scores the 6000th goal for Chelsea. Definitely will be a tough match Looking at the possible teams, we should have too much attacking power for them..but you never know, if Taarabt & SWP put in a good-shift, it could easily end up as a draw.
-
Exactly. Brazil don't need to play Ramires as a DM....they already have Lucas (Liverpool), Sandro (Spurs) and Luis Gustavo (Bayern Munich) as true DM's
