  1. I get the impression that Sarri is like our previous managers when it comes to changing formations, very rigid about it. It can be a big plus, because the team will master playing in that formation, but it can also become a hindrance when teams adapt to your new style better and more games will require changing things around. Pep is a good example of how you can change things and still have the team playing brilliantly.
  2. Excels in the final 3rd is a gross exaggeration, he doesn't. Do you think he'd be clinical when he'd be specifically marked by several defenders and he doesn't have the luxury to be the odd man in the box coming from deep left?
  3. In light of recent events in hindsight the massive hype (he made it!) and comparisons to JT (lol) he got for that half a year period when he was starting, are becoming more and more cringy. Seems to have a weak mentality, the only thing he seems to have in common with him is that they're both center-backs.
  4. Pogba has no business there, he sucks. Kovacic any day every day. I would prolly also pick Giroud over Lukaku, at least he has a footballing brain and technical ability to pull off link-up plays.
  5. Don't see the need for Ake when we have Ampadu and AC waiting behind. It would make some sense if Cahill left and AC lost his patience and left also, but even then I doubt he'd be happy to rot behind Luiz and Rüdiger (FWIW, I like our CB pairing and don't see the need to change it just for the sake of it right now).
  6. Not their M.O. They are oblivious to the obvious until it happens and it's too late, then they panic. First we sell him, then Marina goes on holiday for 3 weeks, then for 2 weeks they consider targets and filter out the ones that make the most sense, then they lowball unrealistic targets for a few weeks and piss off the clubs, then they pay over the odds for some turd who will ride the bench and the Emoji-Man will be our main man.
  7. Yeah I was bamboozled when I read Vesper's post. It would equal shooting ourselves in the foot and losing out on top 4. Luckily the people upstairs aren't as rash.
  8. Didn't claim anything like that, those names are THE legends. But in a time where the likes of Ballack are declared legends, Hazard belongs there already.
  9. He's become big-headed, he believes the hype he's getting. It's fine as long as he performs to justify the hype, but I'm worried about complacency a bit. When you declare yourself the best at something, then there is nothing left to improve yourself upon, you've reached the peak and you become comfortable where you are. I suspect Sarri's comments recently are an attempt to bring his feet back to the ground. It's clear we are a fall-back option in case "his dream" don't come in with a bid. It's a slippery slope when a player feels the club needs him more than he needs them. But... if he keeps performing like he has and takes us top 4 and then leaves for greener pastures, I will not hold any grudges - still a legend.
  10. Still not fixed? Maybe merely looking at it doesn't help, maybe something needs to be done with keyboard and mouse?
  11. Nothing new here, just beating a dead cow with cases from years ago. Clickbaiting since they can never know John the person, ever, they are just recycling British tabloids from aeons ago. I guarantee JT doesn't care what Croatian media says about him neither should you.
  12. So I guess he enjoyed playing left-back then eh? Why would an attacking flair player ever want to work with Mourinho, I have no idea.
  13. In the form of his life. Incredible player!
  14. Oh oh... the rise of Sarri's demise.
  15. Googled a few lines from that quote, zero hits. That is written by a gooner troll 100% unless you can provide a reliable source for this quote (I hate controversial posts that don't link any sources, the internet is full of trolls and people are gullible enough to gobble all that shit up). That's from a random twitter account, isn't it?
  16. Honestly?? Damn that's Makelele level bad for an attacking midfielder.
  17. Worst case scenario we lose Kova and Hazard to Real Madrid. Best case both stay and then I seriously believe we can be a force in CL with the midfield and x-factor we have, just need the bloody striker situation sorted.
  18. Oh my, here we go again with those stories! Just focus on football ffs, do the talking next summer.
  19. I have to agree. Hazard for me is also the most exciting Chelsea player I've seen, there is no contest in that. Also in general he's one of the most exciting players I've seen of any team, on par somewhere with Ronaldinho (he takes the top spot for me) and Messi and maybe United's Ronaldo.

  21. You joined in 2015, while it was more active then than now, you should have seen this place at its peak (2009-2013 I'd say). You would have fit in like a fish in a bowl with all the banter, discussions, games and all sorts of different things and colourful characters here. It's a stark contrast now when for a half a year nobody even cares about getting new members, absolutely not the TalkChelsea I spent my childhood learning all things Chelsea.
  22. It's pathetic ain't it. Reported a long time ago and not a single fuck given. This forum has no hope anymore, it has been neglected for years now. What are the best alternatives, are you on any other forums? Might need to jump ship soon since people can only leave, not join, meaning it will only get more and more inactive.
  23. Will this ever be addressed? I see people have reported this a long time ago already. @Jim
