  1. It's possible if we don't get a creative midfielder (Modric), otherwise I can't see that happening. We would have to play City's system, where Mata is like Silva and we have 2 deep midfielders... But I would like to see 4-2-3-1 at one point with Modric and Mikel playing deep and Mata being the "trequartista", although who would you put on left wing.. Malouda?
  2. I don't know if this has been posted before, but anyway... Check out that skill beginning at 1:10
  3. I don't think Lampard or Gerrard should play anymore. Gary Neville recently wrote in his book that England fucked up with their coaches big time... He said Glenn Hoddle used to be a wack job, he said it was that bad under Kevin Keegan that it was a relief to be out injured.. and that Eriksson and McClaren made some wrong decisions and weren't up to the job.
  4. No, just no... Norwich are a much weaker side, granted, but not one team in EPL can be underestimated. Playing unproven centre backs can backfire very easily. I would much rather Luiz get a chance if he is fit, if not, then Ivanovic. Magnay didn't even get into the pre-season squad if I'm not mistaken. And I understand he's been through rough time of injuries. I think he's going to be released by the club at the end of his contract.
  5. 50-70£ for a ticket? Harsh... 2-3 games and I'm pretty much bankrupt. Although naturally wages in England are much better than here, I doubt any working class estonian could afford a single game.. if so, only as a luxury and once every half a year or so. Average wage here is ~300-400 pounds a month (not quite sure). It really paints a picture as to why things are like they are. If I could set my foot inside SB once in my life, I'd scream my lungs out, as it would be an opportunity of lifetime to cheer for my team and not slag them off.. I can do that behind the computer Everyone of you who goes to games, understand that it's a dream for many people around the world and that it's better to show your appreciation rather than boo. Negativity in the stands creates negativity on the pitch as well.
  6. All managers lie, the ones with excellent PR skills say the things others want to hear. We all know he's not going to drop Terry, Cole and Cech for example, when they suck. Maybe the same with Lampard, don't know yet with only 2 games in. If against Norwich there won't be any surprises in the line-up, then that will have my alarm bells ringing.
  7. Yuri was a replacement more than anything for Cole and Malouda... I expect Mata to cement the LWF position straight away and build a good understanding with others, Žirkov never got that chance. Hopefully he stays injury-free.
  8. It's for countries outside EU I believe
  9. He's been waiting for a work permit for 5 years I believe, I think they've given up on it... I don't think he wants to be a loan player forever, some stability will be good for him
  10. http://thechels.net/2011/08/rajkovic-set-for-german-move/ http://www.vi.nl/Nieuws-item/205591/Arnesen-doet-Rajkovic-HSV-verkiezen-boven-Vitesse.htm
  11. Yeah, 4-2-3-1 is a variation of 4-3-3, something similar that City play. I can see it work with Modric and Mikel being deeper and De Bruyne/Mata/Kakuta ahead of them.
  12. First things first, we need to get his signature, I don't think anything has been agreed with Genk and Atletico yet... My dream would be to have wings consisting of Mata, Hazard, De Bruyne, Kakuta and Sturridge... they are all incredibly versatile players, for example all of the first four can play in the hole and Sturridge can play as a striker. No defence in the world would have recipe to counter that kind of talent and versatility. Although I don't think we're gonna get Hazard, maybe he's not needed if Sturridge and Kakuta come good.
  13. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the new winger is De Bruyne
  14. I don't know if it's over, but I think we've milked the best out of him already... Seeing how things are standing and how we are signing youngsters atm, we might see masses leaving next summer, like Anelka, Essien, Drogba, Malouda, Kalou, Alex, Ferreira and Benayoun (if he doesn't leave now)... I think they are most likely to leave, although I don't think all of them will. Hilario or Turnbull might also be on the way with Courtois coming in. This could be the last season with the team that we all know driven by Lamps, Drogs, Essien, Malouda and Anelka... Although Drogba has already been reduced to bench and it's a matter of time before the same happens to Lampard.
  15. This is just ridiculous... How can that fucking "75% of international games" or whatever rule be considered in giving a simple work permit? Fuck's sake what shitty laws do you have there?
  16. I agree, a midfield of Modric, McEachran and Mikel would be very creative and solid imho... Question is where do you leave Lampard, Ramires, Romeu and eventually Essien. Somebody will have to make way eventually and I'm afraid it's going to be either Essien or Mikel, but not this season. I think the club is slowly paving way for Essien to leave by bringing in Ramires and Romeu... he's becoming injury-prone and still has a respectable market value at 29 (soon).
  17. CJ Revo, what's up with your grass? It looks like green concrete
  18. What kind of message will that send to him... Be one of the best players in pre-season, sign a new long-term contract, get a new much lower number for new season, and still get loaned out... that won't make much sense.
  19. "We have Ryo and AOC. Don't forget Ryo is our Ronaldo how would Mata improve that?"
  20. Let's face it, Silva was a bargain for City... Valencia wasn't going to make that mistake again
