  1. Torres's form and detrimental effect morally to the team was without a doubt a part of the reason. Hodgson couldn't make him play, del Bosque couldn't do it, Carlo couldn't, AVB couldn't.... he has run out of excuses. That's 4 coaches, 3 of them world class who couldn't work with him. He demands too much resources, financially and footballing wise.
  2. I can see him saying "I'm back home"
  3. He's this type of manager I don't see how the players could contest that
  4. exactly, we don't know for fact, but we can discuss because there is basis for discussion (the whole point of the forum)... and if you have an opinion on it, fine, it's a constitutional right to have and express it.. but i won't be ridiculing everybody who has a different pov. and especially with the latest sacking, it looks similar to that case and is even more relevant now. it is word against word... one has nothing to gain, the other would have everything to lose if he admitted to the accusations.
  5. This is an interesting subject. I first heard of it when eldo mentioned in another thread. Sorry for bumping a 3 year old topic. Recalling the departure of Mourinho two years ago, Makelele adds: ‘Rui [Faria] — our physical trainer — explained that a lot of players had complained about Mourinho, notably John Terry.’ http://www.dailymail...nho-sacked.html Is it possible that Terry is the main culprit behind the downfall of the club? If the Makelele accusations are true, then he's partly responsible, but so is the board for giving in. And exactly the same thing repeated throughout the years, the latest victim being AVB, who seems to have been sacked under similar conditions - a few players make their disagreements public and reported arguments between them, and weeks later the manager gets fired. I see no reason why Claude would lie about such a thing... Reading his version of events, I'm sure that something along those lines did happen, you just don't make stuff like that up. I'm gutted that in a few weeks I'm forced to doubt the 2 players who are the main reason why I started following Chelsea. Do you still believe so?
  6. FUCK, is it really in Maka's bio? This is too much, I think I couldn't comprehend it if Terry was also in the traitor group (and we know that the sacking of Mourinho was the fuck up of all fuck ups we've had since). WHAT THE F IS GOING ON?
  7. I'll add to my list: Cole, Lampard, Gourlay, Buck... and maybe other board members
  8. I don't know.. it used to be Lampard without competition, but now I'm not sure. I will have to stick to Terry, Zola and Bogarde I guess.
  9. That would void the need for a forum, why not close it altogether if our "comments won't change anything"? Or are we only allowed to post rosy stuff? Some people act as if nothing's wrong with the club.
  10. Videos rarely make me laugh, but this one genuinely did :D
  11. Why AVB really got the sack? Individual mistakes by players and referees: The Alex fuck up against WBA; The Kalou handball against Valencia; The Malouda backpass against Arsenal, the Walcott goal; all of the Torres misses; the 2 offside manu goals; Foy for QPR, Webb for manu; Sturridge missing easy goals, Lampard missing easy goals; Terry's racial case; Bosingwa; Cech conceding easy goals, Cech passing to Mikel under pressure and conceding a goal as a result; Torres getting a stupid red against Swansea; Drogba getting a stupid red against QPR; occasional brainfarts by Luiz and Cole; everybody misplacing easy passes... ETC. Just think about the amount of errors made by individuals this season. Sure, it can be argued that AVB could be held accountible for them, but can he really? Those "professionals" have been playing this game since they could barely walk, and all of a sudden they forget the basics.
  12. It's a good point. If you're a player who supports the manager who is under enormous pressure, then you feel that pressure while playing also, because his job may depend on how efficiently you perform. I know I certainly would be nervous as hell. Mata was persuaded to join by AVB and Torres, he explained that AVB told him how he wanted to use him and about the future project, then he told Valencia to let him go... with a new manager, he never knows if and how he will play and what lies in the future. If I were him, I'd consider leaving.
  13. So does that mean he will be the manager til the end of the season? Otherwise what would be the point in hiring an assistant for one or two matches.
  14. ONLY if he gives a reason. I guess you're the only true fan out there, seeing that you think you have god given right to label others as plastic or non-plastic.
  15. I agree with that, good post. Edit: Although Terry hasn't really been dropped yet like Lampard was, we don't know what his reaction would be like. But having said that, he's given his all under every manager and he certainly hasn't made any "not ideal" comments in the press. On the contrary, I remember him saying he would play for the reserves if it helped the club. He simply grew up with Chelsea and probably loves it as much as we do, if not more... I really hope he's genuine, being disappointed in my 2 most favourite players would be too much, 1 is enough.
  16. Moyes would get sacked as quickly as AVB, if not quicker.
  17. Sadly it can't be done - they have contracts. They didn't break any clauses in the contract, so not paying them would get the club in a lot of trouble.
  18. Makes no sense. If he sees that the players are the problem, then why did he fire AVB?
  19. Mellis, 21, joined Chelsea from Sheffield United five years ago and has been tipped to be a first team regular. LOL
  20. what were their comments?
