Is Zakharyan any better than our current options?

Good, I hope it's true. What those thick BHA fans don't understand when pegging Caicedo's valuation to Rice's, is that Rice comes with an English/HG tax that usually makes 20-30% of the fee. Caicedo holds no such value. What we offered for him was Rice money minus the English tax, MORE than fair. Now please fuck off, I hope they fucking fail this season.

Federico Valverde to Chelsea transfer latest: £112m offer 'ready', Liverpool bid, Saudi interest - football.london Spanish publication Nacional states that the Blues are now interested in bringing Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde to Stamford Bridge this summer. Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is said to have prepared a bid of €130million (£112million) to sign Valverde in an effort to Madrid president Florentino Perez's resolve. The report adds that the Blues are prepared to quintuple Valverde’s salary to make him one of the best paid players in the Premier League.

Can we please start using the Non-Chelsea Transfer Pub thread again? Having all possible transfer discussions and occasional off-topics in one thread makes it almost unreadable for Chelsea news.

You're not the only one. For the prices mentioned I don't want Lavia or Caicedo. There are probably loads of players out there just like them for a fraction of the money and it looks like we just signed one, now move on from those two please. I'm most worried about lack of experience and age in the squad, missing out on European football two seasons in a row could cement us as a mid-table club for an extended period. Signing all them kids is all good and dandy, but it will mean fuck all if we as a club will become a mid-table laughing stock.
-
So that's Mudryk and Jackson already praising Poch, glad to hear that! Having a feel-good atmosphere and enjoying playing will be of crucial importance in making this young team click.
-
Exactly. He is the one who, as the captain, should have done something. If I remember correctly, Luiz was the only one to approach Kepa.
-
For example when he didn't do anything during that Kepa Sarri bust-up.

Brighton already fleeced us when we agreed to a higher fee for Cucurella so as not to include Colwill in a permanent deal. Now they are trying to do exactly the same thing again with Caicedo, attempting to force us to include Colwill or pay way over real value... Hope the board have learned from that and move on to other targets, those cunts aren't worth dealing with, especially after we got scammed with Cucu and Pottler. It's easy to look "special" in a mid-table nothing club. Caicedo is overrated anyway. Wasn't he the guy who publicly said he wanted to join Arsenal in January, only to sign a contract extension after? If so, then the guy is thick af, BHA probably couldn't believe he fell for some stupid "verbal promise" lol... It simply gave them more leverage in any negotations to try to get more money.

Imagine believing god is real. People can believe what they want, doesn't mean it's a fact or truth.

Great interview
-
Lol that seriously looks like me trying to play football, zero control and no accuracy 😂
-
Good riddance. How on earth we ever signed him, I have no idea... The way the club has been run since the takeover shows that you don't have to be smart to be a billionaire, but I guess we all knew that...
-
Sorry but what is this obsession with right-footed and left-footed CBs? It seems to me that people are losing their minds when two left-footed CBs play together, but nobody bats an eyelid when two right-footed ones play... Seriously, what's up with that all of a sudden? Didn't hear any of that when JT was playing LCB all the time.
-
Current crop definitely isn't, our midfield has downgraded massively. And without midfield it doesn't matter how good your defence or attack are, unless you want to bypass midfield completely and play hoofball. We simply have to get a quality midfielder in or we will be watching Gallagher play every game. Also our winger situation is sus. All in all I think the club has done well at offloading players, but quality wise a lot still needs to be done to make this squad fit for top 4.
-
Finally we are selling players when they still have high values while clearly being on the decline and/or disinterested. In the past we would have forced the likes of Mount and Havertz to stay until their value plummeted or waited until they went for free. Getting rid of average players for big money can only be commended, now replace them with better players please...
-
He gave it his absolute all and even more during his peak and that cost him his twilight years. I'm sure glad he spent that time with us, won the UCL and EPL (twice, one with bloody Leicester!) in huge part thanks to him. A club and international world champion. Love him, undisputable LEGEND! 🥰

Yep, sounds like some spoilt tiktok kid. If this is the norm with which coaches have to deal with nowadays, then I feel sorry for them.
-
"I remember in pre-season some of the lads came back late or something and the next day we were all running for it. I understand the message, but it just felt very negative. Like I said, I've had one manager scream at me during my career and it was Lampard." Jesus, what a pussy 🤣
-
Can you explain what that means? What did Frank do?
-
No. If not for any other reason, then having 5(!) managers in a single season would be beyond embarrassing. The guy who can't coach attack to save his life? The thing that needs coaching the most in our team. 🤦♂️ The last time we were in such a rut it was Mourinho's last season. Have you forgotten that? Think we were 1-2 places above relegation when palpable discord happened. He had a far superior team back then and they looked absolutely hopeless.
-
Those quotes are recent when he was already on the job, he might not have thought so before taking the job as he wouldn't have been in the know then. Maybe he thought that Potter was the main problem, that coming in right after him would boost morale and uplift the team, ride on the new manager bounce and possibly win/get to the final of the CL - all of which would have boosted his job credentials for the future. Unfortunately it hasn't turned out that way. So I do see where Lampard's coming from. After Everton he probably wasn't getting another EPL job any time soon, Chelsea presented an opportunity to change that and prove himself. It was a calculated risk.
-
Doesn't really matter, does it? Unless we somehow manage to get relegated, it makes no difference whatsoever who coaches us till the end of the season. It's probably cheaper anyway than firing him and hiring yet another coach for a few games.
-
Because this is real life and he was probably offered good money. You have to stop thinking like a sentimental fan and more like a normal working person to understand some decisions taken in entertainment/sports. At least that's what I think.
