  1. Not heard of the chap, but after a wee bit of research he seems talented alright.
  2. Its all fine and dandy saying that, but if I know Grant, he'll play Ferreira against the Spurs.
  3. Belletti was my man of the match, although it was a toss-up between him and Ballack as they were both everywhere. Defended brilliantly and Belletti was excellent going forward. We should play him more advanced much more often, he is such a threatening player. For our next game, I think we should adopt our old 4-3-3 system. No idea if Shevchenko is fit, but Pizarro obviously benefits from having crosses into him.
  4. 10 men beat the 12, in the end I know a lot of people criticise Grant, but we have been so lucky recently. We need that luck on our side.
  5. Carlo Cudicini is back in training so I think we should not take the risk on Cech as we are going to need him at his best in the future. Carlo is more than able and I think he has looked better than Cech at periods this season. He deserves another run in the team, he is a huge asset to this club because he has had the option to leave the play regular football. Spurs are so unpredictable. One day you might put three past them, only one on another, and then another day they'll do you 6-4 I fancy us to sneak it 1-0 because derby matches are always tight.
  6. I agree with Tri-Blue's post last page. Its a waste when the ball doesn't clear the first man, but Belletti is cracking at whipping them in. Problem is that Grant likes to alternate him and Paulo all the while.
  7. Glad to see him back, he is a huge talent and a great prospect for the future. Might as well keep him for a while because Sidders isn't exactly in form.
  8. Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur Chelsea entertain Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this Saturday. Last season Carvalho's goal seperated the two teams at Stamford Bridge, although a rare Claude Makelele goal eventually counted for naught as Spurs triumphed 2-1 in November 2006 at White Hart Lane in the second of Chelsea's three league defeats last campaign. Nevertheless, the FA Cup winning team of 2007 triumphed at the Lane in the sixth round replay 1-2 with goals from Shevchenko and Wright-Phillips after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge. 9. When Everton hit the post through McFadden you knew it was going to be our night. Luck went for us, even though the referee was against us for large periods of the game. If Mikel's tackle was worthy of a red card then at least be consistent and send off Neville and Lescott. Carsley should have gone for two yellows in the first half. Hilario amazes me sometimes. How can a goalkeeper be shot shite at crosses yet be brilliant with reaction saves? He certainly made up his earlier error.
  10. Brilliant performance. We were great in the first half but I knew when it was 1-0 in the first half that we would rue those missed chances. I reckon if those chances had fallen to in-form players, we could have had a 2-0 lead at the break. Mikel red card made the game a spectacle. Fantastic display by Everton, they were worthy of their goal but you just felt that the sending off galvanised our team. All to do in the second leg but 2-1 is a good result against an in-form side. They lose Yakubu, Pien-arse and Yobo to the ACON. I would like to dedicate this win to the memory of my former History teacher of three years who ever so sadly passed away due to a heart attack today. He supported Liverpool but was a huge fan of the game and will be sorely missed.
  11. I am slightly upset by the news because I doubt I'll be feeling up for a slog home from Wigan after a late kick off.
  12. I know that is costs a lot, but I park underground near the garage at Chelsea Cloisters. Ten minute walk to the Bridge along the Fulham Road. Or if I can get in, at Sydney Street. Both cost £20 if you are making a day of it, but its the best me and dad manage because he has a dodgy left knee and can't walk that long.
  13. The next time you make one, I shall ensure Tri-Blue falls upon you like a tonne of bricks
  14. Defensive problems or not, as soon as we get Ivanovich he is fifth choice centre-half. That makes him surplus to requirements.
  15. Shevchenko will feature as far as I know, he must be fit for the bench at least as PaddyPower make him favourite to open the scoring.
  16. They are better under Paul Jewell, there is no question of that. Completely murdered Sunderland on Saturday.
  17. I hope if Anelka comes, that he scores a debut hattrick
  18. You sure about there was a 'm'?
  19. Glad it is in away fixture, the atmosphere in the PL game was brilliant.
  20. Drogba actually captains his national side in the first place. Ashley was arguably the most experienced player on the pitch on Saturday although I believe the honour of being captain should have been handed to Ferreira as he was the most senior player in the team. Our captain's order is something along these lines - Terry, Lampard, Cudicini (often gets captaincy when Terry and Lamps and Cech are out), Ballack, Drogba, Joe Cole and Ash
  21. Blame Paul Robinson for his latest blunder If that hadn't happened, things would be fine.
