  1. A lot of people have come to me and said they prefer this shirt to the kit of 06/08. Your thoughts?
  2. Well I struggled to narrow them down to six so much I had to include a seventh. I could have done more, but I completely agree with you Esk. One could vote in terms of importance and in terms of the most classy save.
  3. Yeah, its difficult not to palm the ball straight out in some cases.
  4. Very poor journalism. I don't see why he would move just to be second fiddle to Buffon.
  5. As a goalkeeper, I'm used to being left in the dark as strikers and midfielders take all the glory. It is much the same not only at Chelsea but all across the football world - the efforts of the man between the post are much-maligned and in my opinion, unfairly criticised. With so many people focusing on the Premier League Goal of the Season, and with Chelsea's Goal of the Season award recently given to Juliano Belletti, I felt it only fair for our goalkeeping triumvirate of Cech, Cudicini and Hilario to have their efforts recognised. Saves of the Season 2007/08 Petr CECH vs Manchester United Wayne Rooney shrugged off Tal Ben Haim before launching a goalbound effort towards the top corner. Cech, at least six yards off his line, threw his frame to magnificently fist the ball over the crossbar, improbably denying a splendid effort. Petr CECH vs Middlesbrough O'Neill's whipped cross was met by the head of Mido, whose glancing effort was excellently tipped away by the Chelsea goalkeeper. Henrique HILARIO vs Blackburn Replacing the injured Petr Cech on 64 minutes, Hilario's first contribution to the match was a nervous punch, but he redeemed himself moments later by superbly tipping away a corner-bound header from Santa Cruz Petr CECH vs Everton With Chelsea 1-0 up, Everton were desperate for a lifeline to reach the League Cup Final. Andrew Johnson's powerful nearpost strike look destined for the top corner but Cech came up trumps, powerfully fisting over. Carlo CUDICINI vs Tottenham Hotspur After Spurs had battled back from 3-1 down to level 4-4, the home side had a glorious chance to win the game when Dimitar Berbatov shrugged off his marker. Earning himself a yard of space, the Bulgarian fired a powerful strike goalbound, only for Cudicini to incredibly deny him with a fingertip save. Petr CECH vs Liverpool Steven Gerrard's clever headed ball found Dirk Kuyt unmarked and the Dutchman's instinctive effort was well hit, only to see it brilliantly saved by the legs of the stretching Czech goalkeeper. Petr CECH vs Manchester United After brilliantly denying Tevez from close range, the Czech was quick to his feet to deny Michael Carrick's effort, fisting the ball over the crossbar. My vote goes to Carlo against Spurs. Unbelievable save.
  6. Thats a very fair point. One could argue he inherited a strong squad but he would do the same at Chelsea.
  7. Alex 33 for me. My name is Alex and I like the player. Perfect
  8. Completely 100% agree with you. I won't be surprised if Carvalho leaves, but I seriously don't think he will.
  9. He's a name I'm annoyed at myself for not bringing up. Good call, he did brilliantly at Udinese with no budget at all and has done great things with Roma as well.
  10. I'm not feeling too good at the moment, but that has cheered me up.
  11. That's the worst-case scenario, I think the hierarchy are aware of that, hence why they are talking to Ancelotti's reps now.
  12. He plays nice football and could bring Kaka to the Bridge. Wouldn't be a bad move in fairness, but I'd like Hughes as he is British and a Chelsea ex-player.
  13. Cheers mate I'll employ you as assistant if I ever make it
  14. There's no need to worry, only Drogba is likely to go to Inter. If Mourinho wants him, he'll have to swap him for Ibrahimovich
  15. I don't think he means it like that. When you learn a new language, you are bound to be rusty and some literal translations can be slightly different. And he's right, to either extent.
  16. What I'll do is organise if Jim or someone could make little userbars saying Member of the Year 07/08, etc.

  20. I think 5+6 would have been better TBH, as it would be a more realistic target.
  21. Essien, an attacking midfielder, pissed over him after the first 20 mins.
  22. See the quote for the revised categories. Seem okay?
  23. To post an image, past the link to the image between tags. Something like this: [img=http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e328/Crushed_Diamond/Sigs/lampssig-.jpg] Will turn out like this:
  24. I tell you what, I'm gonna submit my name. I reckon I could do a better job than Grant, anyway
