  1. My nomination: Petr Cech, Chelsea vs Wolves: http://vodpod.com/watch/2553034-dailymotion-Chelsea-v-wolverhampton-wanderers-a-sports-extreme-video 7:26 on that video.
  2. My nomination: James Milner, Villa vs Sunderland (at 1:52 on this video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6BxLTENP_Y

  5. If Madrid want him, we'll have £30 million plus van der Vaart, thanks for doing business.
  6. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: not a chance.
  7. I can genuinely see Stoch leaving. He's too good to just leave on the bench.
  8. Yeah, and I remember when Lampard scored a hat-trick of penalties as we beat Barca 4-1 last season before beating United in the final.
  9. You cannot possibly be serious.
  10. They can mathematically still qualify. Win both of their games, Spurs and City draw and then lose their last game, and the Pool qualify.
  11. As if Barcelona could get a better strike force than the one they already have
  12. Yeah but he's still fucking amazing. I'd prefer Aguero as a long-term option but I wouldn't turn Villa down.
  13. I think we should nominate Gary Neville for young player of the season next year as a laugh. For three simple reasons - firstly, he's shit and makes Paulo Ferreira look like Maicon in comparison; secondly, he's approaching his 82nd birthday; and finally, he's shit.
  14. Another stat for you: Chelsea have won all of the following three games following a win in which they scored seven goals, and also kept clean sheets in two of those three matches: Saturday 16th January 2010: Sunderland [home], Won 7-2 Saturday 23rd January 2010: Preston [away, FA Cup], Won 2-0 Wednesday 27th January 2010: Birmingham City [home], Won 3-0 Saturday 30th January 2010: Burnley [away], Won 2-1 Saturday 27th March 2010: Aston Villa [home],Won 7-1 Saturday 3rd April 2010: Manchester United [away], Won 2-1 Saturday 10th April 2010: Aston Villa [FA Cup, away], Won 3-0 Tuesday 13th April 2010: Bolton Wanderers [home], Won 1-0 Sunday 25th April 2010: Stoke [home], Won 7-0 Sunday 2nd May 2010: Liverpool [away], ?-? Sunday 9th May 2010: Wigan Athletic [home], ?-? Saturday 15th May 2010: Portsmouth [FA Cup Final, away], ?-?
  15. My stat of the day: Chelsea are yet to drop a single point against a side that play in red this season.
  16. That's Rafa's attempts at mind games. Pathetic. They're athletes paid millions of pounds a year. They'll be ready.
  17. I've never liked Mikel. He's too much of a 'lazy player' for me, with the way he slows the game down. And the difference between Mikel and Makelele was that Makelele could take on an attacker one on one, slow them down and get the ball back. Maybe I'll change my opinion of him if he scores the winning goal in the cup final, but until then, he's just a poor man's Essien in my eyes.
  18. Then he should be the first to get a new contract, in my opinion. Been our most consistent player without doubt, never giving more or less than 7/10 every match. I love Anelka but I don't think his heart's in it at the moment. I think he's fed up of always being second-fiddle to Drogba, which is understandable because he'd be first-choice anywhere else. Maybe some silverware would change his mind. Joe's a tough one. One of my all-time favourite Blues players, but does he deserve a new contract? On this season's showing; maybe. He's certainly hit something close to form recently and over the last month or so we've definitely looked better when he's in the team compared to him being on the bench. But injuries are a problem and so is a lack of confidence. I think a one or two-year deal would be adequate, with a wage cut as well. He's nearly 30 and offering him another 5-year deal on ludicrous wages each week.
  19. Totally agree with you mate. Obviously I know there are more important things than football - friends and family for instance - but it still means shitloads to me. The working-class fans lose sleep worrying about the big game, or walk around with an idiotic grin on their face after winning a derby match. And it means so, so much. And there are times where we can't bear to watch and times where we'll scream at the players whether its from on the stands or over the television. And there are times where we'll cry with joy when we see trophies being lifted and last-minute goals that mean everything. That's what it is to support Chelsea, and I fucking love it.
  20. Sounds bloody brilliant. Crystal Palace, possibly Rangers and a time like Valencia, all on British soil for pre-season? Sounds top notch.
  21. I'm sure many Stoke fans would disagree with you there, but I do see your point. We can be bloody brilliant when we want to be.
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBsxt7K7VDA&feature=related Who made the pass that won us the title? Mikel is not fast enough with his passing. And when he is, its hardly ever constructive. He passes sideways and backwards, its as if he's devoid of any attacking nous. We're going to have to agree to disagree. Personally I think Mikel is fucking useless going forward, and we're better and faster when attacking when he doesn't play. He has his qualities, but attack is definitely not one of them.
  23. True. But then you get some working class nutter like me going there whenever I can afford it, singing my heart out and not being able to talk for three or four days after.
