Correct, that was the line of thought I was taking. However you can argue the same of other nationalities, like our history of having some great French players (Desailly, Makelele, Deschamps, Gallas) for example.

Firstly, you self-righteous, sanctimonious, hypocritical cunt, you'll find I was joking. Not only are you a complete twat but you are also devoid of a sense of humour. I fear for your social well-being. Also, you're calling me poorly educated? Maybe I should forward you my conditional offers from Oxford or Manchester?

We have a lot of Dutch members on TalkChelsea, so I'm led to presume we have a large fanbase over in the Netherlands? If so, what makes the team so popular over there? This is mainly aimed at the likes of Badboy but feel free to comment, this is mainly to satisfy a question that's always begged for an answer.

Totally agree. Posted in another thread that we have Ferreira, Ivanovic and Bosingwa for the RB role, and Mancienne, Hutchinson, Bruma and Essien can play there in emergencies.
-
He had a good season with Galatasary apparently.
-
We're being linked with Lucas and Almunia too

So you're saying England is more dangerous than South Africa?
-
All the best in getting them relegated, Granty. Got nothing against the man but I'm hardly going to give West Ham support, am I?
-
The thing is we have the 'Milan Lab' in Bruno Demichelis - he can make these players play until they're about 36! It's not all bad... but we don't need him. I'm just saying buying older players isn't that bad a move.

Yeah, I created a swath of rape and pillage last night, got back in time for Britain's Got Talent though.
-
England fans riot after losing on penalties, its all very upsetting. LET'S LOOT!
-
I was being sarcastic We don't need any right-backs... actually, we don't need any DEFENDERS at all.
-
He's a brilliant player and a great acquisition for City; one of the first signings they've made with any sense involved.

Which friend would that be? Welcome to the forum!

Wayne will paint the streets red with blood! MWHAHAHAHAHAHAH! In all seriousness, aren't stereotypes great? The English and their arrogant snobby accents, eating their roast dinners. The Dutch, constantly stoned, banned from hosting the Olympics because they'd replace the torch with a spliff, etc. etc.

Welcome to the forum, mate.

I know My point is Kakuta has a lot of expectation on his shoulders; added pressure he doesn't need. However the boy has bags of potential and I'm fairly confident we'll see just how good he is sooner rather than later. I agree with you that he isn't ready yet, he just isn't experienced enough. Personally I'd loan him out for the first half of the season to a top division team for some experience, he still won't get that much playing time here I don't think.
-
Club over country for me, but Terry or no Terry I'm still English and will support the national team.
-
Now THAT looks nice. How can you be so sure?
-
Jose won't play wing-backs, surely? He likes to field full-backs as pretty defensive-minded, we saw that with how strict he was with Cole, Bridge and Ferreira.

Did you order the Cup Final as well, Ray?

Jerome Boateng has confirmed that he will sign for Manchester City before appearing for Germany in the World Cup this summer. The highly-rated Hamburg defender has received praise for his level of performances since moving to the club from Hertha Berlin in 2007, becoming the subject of much interest from some of Europe's top clubs. City appear to have stolen a march on their rivals for the 21-year-old's signature, with manager Roberto Mancini visiting the player in Hamburg and agreeing a £10.46million move to Eastlands. "I am going to sign on (for City) before leaving for the World Cup and the deal will be completed," Boateng told Bild magazine "It has been decided that I am moving there." Boateng was delighted to see the move go through, admitting that Mancini played a big part in his decision to move to England, where he will compete with the likes of Kolo Toure and Joleon Lescott for a starting role in the centre of defence. "He (Mancini) came with two representatives to Hamburg and we chatted for one or two hours," said Boateng. "He convinced me to make the transfer. He believes that I will definitely need a few months to get settled in once in England, but that he sees so much potential in me that he will improve me. Not afraid "Even if many people say that I am going to struggle to make the breakthrough, I am confident that I will. "I am not afraid of anybody." Boateng also hit out at how his family was being hounded by the German press after half-brother Kevin-Prince's challenge on Michael Ballack in the FA Cup final ruled the Chelsea midfielder out of the World Cup. Germany captain Ballack was considered the talisman of the squad and key to his country's chances of winning the tournament, but Kevin-Prince, who could face off against Jerome in the final group game after switching allegiances to Ghana through a parental connection, has come under severe scrutiny. "It disturbs me the way our family name is being dragged around in public and my family is not being left in peace," he added. "It is not on that my big brother George suddenly has cameras on his doorstep and he is being forced to stay indoors. "They said I have just got to live with that, being a Boateng. "This has overstepped the mark. It has been ridiculous." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_6185859,00.html

NO! Liverpool will get a manager who knows what he's doing, sign some decent players and make them a force again.

I think you'll find the only juvenile presence on this forum is yourself; how you've showed how ungrateful you are for the immense hard work someone has put in, only to slate it for the presence of a bar at the bottom of the forum. Anyone else would have said 'great skin, Jim, just need to change the colour of the bar,' or some other similar constructive criticism. But with your desire to be different and controversial, all you've successfully done is shown yourself to be a complete idiot. What you have done is make a huge deal out of absolutely nothing, and the ounce of credibility you had scraped back is slowly started to thin out once more. You might be some kind of hip hop deity on other forums, but on TalkChelsea you're just another member. Like me, like Kez, like Steve, like Milan.Cech, like EskWeston, and every other person on here. I respect your opinion, and I appreciate your 'angled' approach to things to be quite insightful at times, but I must admit I find you one massive, massive hypocrite. The amount of times you have complained to me about people attacking your opinion, only then to go on and do the exact same thing yourself, is now actually beyond reckoning. You ought to get off that high horse of yours. If you don't like the bar, then learn to like it.

Categorically disagree with that. Watch the home match against Internazionale, it would have been 3-0 or 4-0 if Yuri hadn't have played. He's brilliant and the most underrated player in our squad, so much so his own supporters don't recognise how good he is!
