  1. I'm not Neymar's biggest fan, but his acts of petulance is namely a result of his youth and relative immaturity. Ronaldo has maintained that immature streak, Rooney can still show dissent and even experienced stars like Drogba, Terry and Cole constantly berate the officials. Slagging off Neymar over his attitude is a slippery slope.
  2. Why would Mourinho try and sign Falcao when he has Higuain, who is arguably the best young striker in world football?
  3. Oh, its these stories again. Can't the tabloids be a bit more inventive and add another name in this year for a change?
  4. I refuse to accept people's arguments that signing Falcao means the end of this player or that player. He is a centre forward. We have three of them at the club - Drogba, Anelka and Torres. Anelka and/or Drogba will surely leave if we sign Falcao. Lukaku will come in and common sense says he will be loaned, there is no point simply bringing him in at this point and letting him rot in the reserves. Meanwhile Ancelotti demonstrated quite succesfully that Sturridge could be used as a winger, and with his natural pace and skill being a key aspect of his play, it would be stupid not to play to those strengths. Plus, there is frankly no way he will ever play as a CF at this squad with Torres and Drogba here. Meaning next season: Left wing - Sturridge, Malouda, Zhirkov. Centre forward - Torres, Falcao, Drogba or Anelka, depending on who leaves. Right wing - Sturridge, Anelka or Kalou, depending on who leaves. Thus: Malouda/Sturridge - Falcao/Drogba/Torres - Drogba/Kalou Torres/Drogba - Falcao/Anelka Sturridge/Kakuta/Lampard etc. It makes sense. Drogba and Anelka are past it, Kalou and Malouda should be on their way, and Falcao, Lukaku, Sturridge and Torres is our future.
  5. Lukaku would be loaned out if signed this summer, common sense dictates that.
  6. Joining Juventus is like joining Liverpool. It may not make sense at the moment, but in terms of footballing history, there are few clubs that can compare to the Old Lady. Juventus is a massive and historic club, so it is still a move in the right direction for him.
  7. I reckon he's already signed and is just trying to shut out the media for a while. Transfer to be announced later. Just a hunch, he said he wanted his future decided and considering there has been no announcement, I can only assume he's either decided to stay put or join us, and will announce it at another stage.
  8. Going to be radical: Cech Alex------------Terry Bosingwa--------------------------------------------------------Cole Luiz------Ramires Essien----------------Lampard Sturridge Torres And that's without signing anyone...
  9. Putting this politely, get the fuck back on topic. In all seriousness, discuss Neymar, not rugby.
  10. Lmao his surname is Warren!
  11. I'm expecting another 120 pages in this topic before the end of the transfer season.
  12. That's what we said about Drogba and Torres tbf.
  13. Torres - Falcao Drogba Lampard - Moutinho - Ramires Cole - Terry - Luiz - Bosingwa Cech
  14. Delighted if true. Goodbye Nico, Didier and Kalou!
  15. Absolutely, chaps! Agreed on his crossing though FB, definitely could benefit from some lessons from Didier on how to beat the first man!
  16. Opening more tabs is contributing to forum traffic probably. Don't forget the site is gonna be quite slow atm because of additional traffic... you'd be amazed how many hits we get from Google for 'Chelsea transfers' and 'Chelsea kits.'
  17. You don't come into a club and play your own style. You adapt to the players you have. Carlo found that out when the diamond didn't work out first time. Last season we saw 4-3-3 no longer works with the players we have. And judging by the fact we only seem to want to buy centre forwards and central midfielders, not wingers and wide midfielders, you can bet we're not looking to play 4-3-3, because there is no way on earth the club are willing to keep Kalou, Anelka, Malouda and Yury as our wingers.
  18. If he goes to Madrid he'll rot on the sidelines when he finds out Higuain, Ozil and di Maria are far better players. He'd have much more of an opportunity for first team football at Chelsea. His loss. Personally I can't wait to lock this cunting topic.
  19. No way he's only worth £12 million, even at his age. He's a three-times Champions League winner!
  20. To be honest I've always liked Bosingwa, and I like how in our three RBs we have one very attacking option, one defensive stalwart in Ivanovic and then experienced, professional cover in PF19. If AVB can get Bosingwa playing again, saves us forking out £18 million on van der Wiel.
  21. Very strange indeed. I can only assume it is your own internet connections then, I use Firefox, Chrome and IE7 all intermittently and very infrequently experience this. When I do, it is always on Chrome...
  22. Samuel Eto'o, in my opinion, is one of the top five strikers in world football - and definitely number one in terms of clinical finishing. But he's too old. Five years ago I'd have said he would have been the perfect signing. The only way we could accommodate him is to sell Anelka, Malouda and Kalou. That would leave us with two centre forwards in Drogba and Torres, and two players who can play across the front three in Eto'o and Sturridge. Cech Ivanovic - Alex - Terry - Cole Ramires - Moutinho - Lampard Sturridge - Torres - Eto'o It could work...
