  1. I'd rather buy Nasri for a reasonable price than splash out £50 million on a player who has had merely a good season in a league nowhere near as competitive as the Premier League.
  2. Cheaper, younger, better than Modric. I'd be all for this transfer.Proven EPL class, and for half the price of Pastore, someone also with Champions League (group stage ) experience.
  3. £10 million? On second thoughts, maybe not He's worth £6 million at a push.
  4. Fair point. Just gutted to see him go, he seems one of the most competent of our youngsters.
  5. If that is the price I'm gob-smacked, Burnley offered £1.1 million according to rumours in January.
  6. Cech Bosingwa - Luiz - Terry - Cole Ramires - Lampard Pastore Sturridge Torres - Drogba
  7. If you're waiting for the official website, we'll be waiting until October.
  8. Now I would be all for this! We need some British players in the squad.
  9. They're welcome to him as far as I'm concerned. Don't get the wrong, the lad has immense talent, but his selfishness and relatively poor decision making really put me off him. He shone in the Championship, but anyone with a bit of flair can do the same, á la Sinclair. If he can prove his worth at QPR this season then I'd say go for it next season, but I'd much rather blood our own youngsters.
  10. Hopefully he won't turn into Boulahrouz...
  11. The rumours are waiting to be written... 'Drogba-Gonzales swap deal imminent' and so on.
  12. Again, let's be fair - its the close season, all we can rely on for activity is rumour.
  13. Think so yeah. Nice bit of originality from Umbro.
  14. He's a comedian as well as a coach? I just keep on loving this guy!
  15. I'm sure I once managed more than 190 posts in one day on CFC-Fans... just saying ENGLAND AWAY
  16. Haha cheers mate! I think turning the forums offline might have deterred them from spending their time hacking the site... either that or they didn't think we have a forum
  17. :goodpost: Absolutely spot on boss, as usual. Couldn't put it any better myself.
  18. All is as it should be on the forums, Steve, main site is still down though. if you see any malicious behaviour please contact me on Facebook - www.facebook.com/AlexHinsley - as my phone instantly receives messages posted on my wall.
  19. As you may know, our main site has been hacked - the forum was down as a precautionary measure. We're now back up and running; hopefully as usual. Big shout out to Jim for coming home to help sort it out - I've run a back-up programme so if we are hacked, I have the whole forum database cache saved on my PC. Alex.
  20. Yes, we do actually require people to post the whole article or a segment and the link... if they're not doing one or the other, berate them for it! (Y)
  21. Fucking hell, I'll take one of those I remember when we played there against Club America in 2009, we won 2-0 thanks to Malouda and di Santo. I didn't realise it was that big!
  22. Piazon really impressed me in the game, I caught some of the match on MyP2P. He has pace and invention... something we could do with before January comes around. He has such potential, but, like all of our young starlets, it'll go to waste on reserve league football. I fear di Santo Mark II.
  23. Fair point, agreed on most cases. In terms of Roman giving him some leeway... I don't think he'd pay £13.3 million for a manager to keep him on a tight leash.
  24. I wanted him regardless of the price. Torres struggled last season because of half-hearted service up to him. We had no natural width besides when Malouda decided to play there instead of drifting infield, and a lack of a creative midfielder meant he was feeding off Drogba's scraps. This year is a question of confidence moreso than creativity. Yes, we need the width and the intelligence installed in the midfield (I don't see why we can't play JM46 in the 'Xavi role,' he'd be perfect), but if AVB can instil confidence in El Nino once again, we'll see him win the Golden Boot next year.
