  1. Hutch will come back to us in January, no doubt. We can assess his situation and loan him to a lower league club for match practice, I guess. It's a shame, because I went to Forest twice to see him play and he looked brilliant.
  2. Can't wait until the day he scores, he'll probably be arrested for conspiracy to destroy some poor woman, just with his eyes and smile alone...
  3. We all went mad after Kakuta's cameo against Wolves. Let's not get too excited just yet. In fact its not a bad thing he missed the penalty. If he'd have scored it, people would be wanking themselves into a coma over the kid.
  4. It's sensible. You play the dynamic, attacking 'defensive' midfielder against the shit teams. You then have an extra attacker and are bound to win handsomely. Just like what happened against Villa. Then you play the defensive midfielder in the big games against the good teams, where you need positional discipline. Ergo, against the Villas of this world we'll see Luiz in midfield. When Manchester United come knocking, he can warm the bench and Mikel can have a game.
  5. Hazard has 17 assists in all competitions. Not bad for an overpriced flop, eh? I bet United are absolutely kicking themselves!
  6. I don't buy this stupid argument about him not scoring 'important' goals against big teams. People seem to think that just because Drogba's last three goals for the club were against Tottenham, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, that all of his goals were match-winners or scored against big clubs. The amount of times he scored the third or fourth goal in matches - against piss-poor opposition as well... and yet people are using this against Torres. Considering how shit he has been, we should be happy he's even scoring at the minute. I said we should get rid of Torres if he hadn't netted 10 by the start of January. He already has surpassed that and has the opportunity of extending it before the season concludes. 14 goals at this stage of the season is a very, very good return.
  7. Can't believe this man will be making his 400th Chelsea appearance tomorrow. Just another nine after that and he'll be the man with the equal-tenth most appearances in a Chelsea shirt. Phenomenal. Easily the greatest transfer in Premier League history. £7 million, may I remind you. Look at how much United have spent on de Gea, how much Lloris cost Tottenham... and neither of them are even half the goalkeeper Petr is. A true Chelsea legend, whose career is likely to be brought to a premature end by Courtois.
  8. He should come back next season, even if it is just to stop Bertrand being played in the midfield...
  9. Well, we needed to replace 20-goals-a-season Frank Lampard, didn't we? We've done that. He can easily pass 25 before the end of the season.
  10. I honestly think Walcott has improved this season. It's quite ironic that he's a better player now, yet he's playing even less. He suits Arsenal more than Giroud.
  11. I know I have already said I would be contented with a draw, but if we go to Everton and win we must be again considered as title challengers.
  12. How can people be so... medieval? Truly pathetic. They say the world won't end in 2012, but when there are people like this spouting such bullshit you kinda wish it had.
  13. Absolutely pathetic. Football is being ruined, it's no longer a spectator sport. Would the clubs rather have passionate fans standing, or empty stadia?
  14. He'll get them results. They'll be 0-0s and 0-1s, but at least they are results. I quite like Forest so I'm gutted they've appointed this cunt.
  15. Team of 2012 or 2012/13 so far? I presume you mean the latter? Kelvin Davies Bosingwa Squillaci Anton Ferdinand Shorey Marko Marin Henderson Jay Tabb Downing Mauro Boselli Noel Hunt
  16. We're not even linked to him are we? Either way, hate the cunt. Decent player, perfect for United - a young van Nistelrooy in the way he is the ultimate poacher.
  17. I wonder if the people who complained about us winning 1-0 yesterday would be so adverse to a repeat scoreline here? I personally wouldn't be too dissatisfied with a draw. Goodison is a horrible place to go to.
  18. Haha I will never leave this place, but my point stands - my contribution has dropped from regularly posting 60 times a day to 60 times a month on the basis that you can't have an opinion anymore.
  19. So, by your logic of not being able to be extremely happy with boring 1-0 wins over average sides, does that mean we didn't actually win back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006 on the grounds of being lacklustre? Show Norwich some respect. They had lost just one home league game prior to this, beating Arsenal and Manchester United in the process. And they are still one of the leagues form teams, two defeats aside. I absolutely understand where you are coming from, but I think you're being absolutely unreasonable and entirely unrealistic.
  20. I don't like the idea of signing a cripple* to replace a flop, as much as I used to have a grudging admiration for the player. * I mean no real disrespect, but the fact stands - Villa will never be the player he was following that injury. He's already nearly 30. A short-term deal - maybe a loan - could work, but otherwise no, no, no.
  21. Absolutely. What 'YouNameIt' is basically saying is this - "we didn't score 8 goals today so we can't celebrate'. Success really has spoiled some supporters. Instead we should be happy with the resilience and grit we demonstrated in a fixture we'd have probably lost if we'd have played it a month sooner.
  22. Wow, I'm 'pathetic' for being happy about winning. Fuck me, what has this place come to? And people wonder why I barely post... here is your answer. Shot down for being happy about a good result and decent performance.
  23. One thing to add is regarding Torres - we all know we've as good as signed another striker, but it needs to be a different type of forward to Fernando. In games like this where our number 9 is man-marked, we need someone who is big and will come and bully defenders, the same way Dzeko comes on to replace Aguero. Someone like Didier Drogba, I guess!
  24. Tough place to go, so I am extremely happy with the result. At this stage of the season, performances mean relatively little - yet I think we actually played better today than we did this time last week at Leeds. Carrow Road is a hard place to go (only Liverpool have won there in the Premier League this term) and Norwich of course are on the back of a very good run. We defended very compactly today and when we went forward we found ourselves needing to adapt. Norwich effectively played with four centre-backs today, and two wing-backs. It meant we had to play with variation and we created some decent opportunities against an organised and tight defence, which is something we certainly would not have done a couple of weeks ago. Mata's goal was superbly taken and 1-0 is a compliment to Norwich, who were most definitely second-best. Torres was very quiet today, but he is never going to do well in that type of fixture. He was well man-marked throughout, but that gave Moses, Mata and Oscar the chance to dictate the midfield, which they did very well. Luiz was impressive again, and Ivanovic and Cahill showed why they should be our number one centre-back pairing. All in all, very happy - and with us being only four points off second, and with a game in hand, I'm feeling a lot more confident about the second half of the season.
