  1. Today was great for two reasons: Mourinho now knows who his main centre-forward is. Torres all the way.He also knows we're a better team with Mata in the side. The referee dicked over us, but Vertonghen is a cheating cunt.
  2. Play like we did in that second half and this will be a comfortable 0-2.
  3. Eto'o has had three starts against Basel, Everton and Fulham and had one shot on target. Torres has made three starts against Bayern Munich, Swindon and Hull City - four shots on target, two goals, and an assist. His performances - particularly against Bayern - are far, far superior to what Eto'o has offered. That's why we're saying Torres should be the main striker at this moment in time. Goalscoring is about confidence, and two goals in three games is an excellent return from anyone.
  4. Hi all, In light of recent experiences - that we thankfully seem to have moved on from, somewhat - I have drafted a more comprehensive set of forum rules, which will be coming into place as of now. We, the staff, will do our best to ensure everyone adheres to them. You can take a look by clicking this link. Alex.
  5. Torres > Eto'o and Ba. I'm just going on what we've seen this season so far. Nando has made three starts and scored twice and assisted once in those appearances. Very healthy statistics as far as I'm concerned.
  6. Bit of a void argument in truth.. apart from Oscar, Rami and JT, everyone has had a shocker of a season so far.
  7. Already on my third pint! I'm sure I will See you all tomorrow!
  8. For me, our only real width at the minute is coming from the full-backs. Whilst we get an awful lot of support from Iva (much more than Cole offers, anyway), for me, he lacks the same attacking conviction of someone like Azpi, or even Paulo, back in the day. If he was to be a little more confident and throw a few more crosses in, the law of averages dictates it would give more crosses for our forwards to attack. Azpi throws plenty of crosses in - most are useless, but some are excellent. If Iva works on his crossing and just gets his head down and swings the ball in, then great. We just need a bit more actual supply from the two full-backs if they are going to be Jose main source of width this season. Just to clarify: that comment wasn't aimed solely at him. There are some people that believe everything Mourinho does is beyond reproach. If it was, would point would there be in a discussion forum?
  9. Just rang up Swindon. Been told I'm right on the segregation barrier between the home and away fans tonight. FUCKING HAVE IT LMAO!!
  10. It's a case of semantics. In retrospect I'll accept that "lazy streak" was the wrong choice of words. I definitely stand by my point that he doesn't have the temperament of a full-back. It is a cardinal sin for a full-back not to close down a wide player, as far as I'm concerned. He is a centre-half though, of course. I just personally believe that in this team we need more balance at full-back, and I believe Azpi should be starting. IMO, Ivanovic is our best centre-half, so as to why he is playing where he is, only José knows. But people need to jump of their high horses. Not aiming this bit at you, didierforever! Just a comment TOPTB made earlier: "Mourinho has forgotten more about football than you'll ever know" - maybe so, doesn't mean everything he does is right, does it? Does it mean we can't question his methods and actions? If Rafa had made some of the decisions José is making, we'd be kicking off like crazy! For me, one of the wrong decisions Mourinho is making is playing Iva at RB.
  11. Buzzing for this! See you there, bitches!
  12. He can be exceptionally lazy at times. He refuses to close down wingers (a cardinal sin for a full-back), and on multiple occasions this season he has got forward, the team has lost the ball and he's simply walked back instead of running back to help. Happened at least four times against Basel alone.
  13. FUCKING LOL at that one of Hilario crouching, I had to look twice; at first glance it looks like his legs have been amputated beneath the knee!
  14. I've watched him play 439 times for us though in fairness He is the master, but I always get excited when we have a new goalkeeper!
  15. His pass for Anelka's second goal in the 6-0 at Wigan in 2010/11 (our second game of the season) was one of the best passes I have ever seen.
  16. Hazard doesn't need resting; he needs dropping. Schurrle's performance yesterday - without being spectacular - was twice the offering Hazard has brought to the table over the last 2/3 games. Eden looks like he can't be arsed; whereas Schurrle is the proverbial Duracel Bunny - he doesn't stop running. His work-rate is something Mourinho values; so why isn't he getting a little more of a look in? As you say, KdB has done a great job for the team every time he has featured. As far as I'm concerned, Eden needs a game or two on the sidelines. He shouldn't be an automatic starter.
  17. I respect your opinion but I totally disagree with you. Granted Azpi is prone to lapses in concentration, but he was one of the stand-out performers under the Rafa Regime. He adds far more to the team in an offensive sense, and unlike Ivanovic - who, in my view, is developing a lazy streak - actually closes down attacking wide players instead of allowing the cross to come in.
  18. I'm only going by MOTD highlights - but fuck me, he looked brilliant for Everton yesterday. Clinical finishing, pace, strength and vision - some of the passes he was making around the corner of the defender... absolutely class. Obviously though he doesn't get that sort of movement in this Chelsea team. Sadly I don't think he has a future at Chelsea whilst Mourinho is here. He clearly doesn't believe in him.
  19. Kalou > Torres/Ba/Eto'o. Just putting it out there.
  20. Blasphemy! DEM EYES. Staring straight into your soul!! Anyways - as for Schurrle. He definitely brings something we lack - pace. Yes, we have some fast players, but not with the ball. He is one of the few traditional dribblers we have; in the sense of running, and then playing a give-and-go. For me, he was a shoe-in against Basel as someone who can exploit space between two banks of four. As to why he didn't play is beyond me. But that's in the past now. I'd like to see him given a full 90 minutes against Swindon. Could score a couple of goals, realistically.
  21. If Kalas is starting, you'd like Terry beside him, talking to him constantly. Would love to see him feature.
  22. I'm a goalkeeper. I keep goals from going in. I like goalkeeping. I like goalkeepers. So I'm excited. KKKKKKKK?
  23. Wish Mourinho would stop being so stubborn and play a pivot of Oscar-Mikel/Ramires. Creativity with dynamism or defensive discipline, depending on which of Mikel and Ramires features.
