I don’t think it will be in any doubt, the board have made mistakes before but I don’t think anyone would be so stupid to back Lukaku over Tuchel. But at the same time, I think Tuchel may leave the door open for Rom to get back into the group pretty swiftly though if he apologises sufficiently enough that he, the players and also certain club personnel accept it and he then proceeds to gets with the programme. I do think the situation will be re-evaluated in the summer due to the nature of the comments but I also think Tuchel wouldn’t be stupid to completely write off someone who may have some use to him throughout the second half of the season. I mean he kept and has brought guys like Ruben and Ross in from the cold at the beginning of the season when others wouldn’t have because we’ve needed numbers/he’s seen they can maybe offer something so I don’t think Rom is going to be completely shunned up to the summer or sold this month.

Sarr was only natural CB on bench, I did expect CHO to go on for Trevor and go RWB though with Azpi at RCB so was surprised when Pulisic went there instead as he had been causing them trouble inside.

Thats twice now in the games v Liverpool this season where we’ve dug out results when people wouldn’t of probably anticipated us to based on the circumstances. Felt a bit like the City game last season where we scored that last minute winner at the Etihad (barring the fact we didn’t take the 3 points today) although again, our performance on that day, we deserved to win. Today just felt similar. For me the mentality, the standards, the difference from under Frank now is enormous and so clear. This is why I find it so frustrating when people thought on here pre match we would get absolutely shafted or we could struggle to make top 4 if we didn’t get something today or even when we got it back to 2-2, we could fuck it up still etc. Our performances in the big PL games this season have generally been good barring United and Man City. I think its more because we changed from a 343 to a 352. Not having Pulisic free inside to drift and run into those inside pockets as opposed to being fixed at RWB didn’t help but all in all, I don’t think Jorginho really helped or hindered us either way but his introduction was necessary because of Trevor.

Mendy made some big saves also but you need that in big games.

Was very disappointed with Kovacic last game but he has been very good most of the game. Some of his touches tonight particularly that last couple there, Zidane esque and then the goal.

Said it at the start of the game, we are more than good enough to get something, that something hopefully will be 3 points because we’ve done the hard bit getting back into it from 2-0 down, not many teams do that v Liverpool.

Well we’ve just scored there so here we go now. As I said earlier the performance hasnt been that bad, we started pretty good actually. Just needed Pulisic to score or another goal to cement our start in the game but now we’re right back in it with that goal.

We’re still playing much better than in recent weeks but you give two goals away like we have, you’re always going to be up against it. If Pulisic scored the game would be much much different. Even if we score before HT

True but I think that Pulisic is maybe also in the team for the same reason and then CHOs on the bench. Either way, at least we have some pace in the front line as Mount and Havertz, whilst aren’t slow aren’t necessarily that fast. Then again, CHO can come in too.

In terms of making an impact, that was arguably the game he was most effective in based on the minutes he played that night. Was also one of the worst defensive performances under FL in his 18 months here and that says a lot.

I would imagine the wide CBs will help at times like we have seen in the past because those 2 love coming narrow to give room to their fullbacks. Particularly Rudiger on Salah, he has had a good few games where he has played well against him. Wouldn’t say they were overly impressive last game either.

True, Inter may struggle to buy him and who says they will even try to if they continue being successful with Dzeko and Martinez? I really think he may find himself on the chopping block in the summer though, Tuchel dropping him as you’ve said, points towards their discussion not going well at all. I suppose it will become more evident in the coming weeks but that interview, it strikes me as something that will be a black mark towards him from here until the end of the season unless he proves himself significantly. He had COVID IIRC and Tuchel said he was struggling despite returning to training. Plus not like we can really count on him. We have had a lot of games, a lot of injuries/covid/changes. Today’s team looks a lot more familiar to close to being our best bar James & Chilly really. And possibly Jorgi but he needs a rest. We can definitely get something as long as we show up, I really don’t think that Liverpool side barring their front 3 are that much better than us. They’re missing Robertson, Matip, Alisson and Thiago in there.

Don’t be so daft, Conte may have binned Costa for Morata but he isn’t stupid enough to swap Kane for Lukaku.
