  1. I dont think he is an upgrade on Ibrahimovic and for me Marcus Rashford has probably got a more rounded game. Lukaku has a good goal record but when teams decide to park the bus against United do you think hes going to find it as easy as he did running into 10-20m of space at Everton where they were played counter attack football a lot. Also his mind set is quite weird, he is very confident in himself but has he actually won anything where he contributed in a big way? Is he a champion like Ibra is? I think Ibra will be a huge miss for United next year, purely for his experience and mentality.
  2. He was always going to go to United surely everybody seen that? He is not the right player for our team...
  3. Think Wolves will be a good platform for him, he has got talent in abundance although he struggled a bit last year but he will improve physically in the Championship and I wouldn't be surprised if hes only there for a season or two before coming to the PL for someone. Surprised Nuno is there managing as he has worked for some big clubs like Valencia and Porto but I can see why Neves is moving due to having worked with Nuno before.
  4. Andre Silva is an excellent prospect I think and for 35M euros I think he will be worth every penny. Ricardo Rodriguez and Calhanoglu are both players who have been tried and proven Bundesliga as well as Musacchio has good pedigree from playing for Villareal in La Liga. Kessie is still learning but I think he might give that Milan midfield legs and a presence. Borini is shit though haha
  5. Not Chelsea related but AC Milan have made some very good signings I must say. Rodriguez, Silva, Canalkojlululululilulu (not even wanting to attempt his proper spelling), Musacchio, Kessie... Borini too but don't get that one in all fairness.
  6. Perhaps, although we are apparently looking for another right wing back too, or so its been reported. I think Azpi is the best choice for that RCB role to be honest, from his time as a full back he knows how to defend out wide, when to go out and close when to stay narrow etc and he truly excelled in that role for me last year, honestly I think out of last years back 3 Azpi is the one that is least likely to be replaced.
  7. I doubt he's coming here to be a starter unless he takes Cahill's place but even then he looks more than good enough for me. Really surprised in all fairness I didn't think much of him at Stuttgart but hes improved since then, massively, didn't lose many duels tonight against Chile. PS. Still can't believe Chile were trying to play high crosses into the box for two 5 ft 7 strikers to try and beat three 6 ft plus German center halves to the crosses though. Crazy
  8. I'm seeing people say if he goes to Scotland its a waste, but physically it would test him, playing every week against defensive, aggressive teams, having the chance to get a winning mentality at his age, similarly to what Patrick Roberts managed to get from 18 months at Celtic, (60 odd appearances in 18 months, including CL experience, playing under a coach hugely renowned for improving young players as well as winning 4 trophies) is not necessarily a bad thing. The standard isn't as high but I think the most important thing for somebody who is at the position Charly is in now with his career, needs to play every week, regardless of what mediocre standard as opposed to playing a pre-season tour and playing 3 FA Cup games in a year. I know the talk is they want to buy him but honestly we should loan him there. Unless he gets an outstanding offer from a PL team where he will be playing as regular as he would at Celtic. Also if he went to Celtic on a permanent transfer, just stick a buyback clause and take him back after 2 years or so....
  9. Hopefully that is true. We seen what happened under Mourinho when we won the title a few years ago, we weren't active enough in the transfer market and suffered for it. I hope we can get another two center backs in all fairness now that Ake looks set to go, although Andres Christensen is returning which maybe hint at why he only wants one. Still need options for squad depth, signing Sandro is a good move it means we will have more squad depth with both Sandro and Alonso more than good enough level players to push each other for a place/deputize for each other, same with Christensen at center half can easily play where Luiz, Azpilicueta or Cahill does and not provide a huge difference in quality (although I don't think he will start ahead of any of those 3 for now) and Bakayoko for midfield provides more higher level competition with Kante, Cesc and Matic if he ends up staying but we still need more with right wing back a concern for me after seeing Moses towards the back end of the season look slightly out of place although he had a great season in general for someone who had to relearn a new position he'd never played in before but even like with Alonso if we get Sandro, he can be improved upon and we have to be ruthless in that matter. Wouldn't mind seeing this as the team. Tibo Azpilicueta - Luiz - Cahill/new CB (Laporte would be nice, suppose I can dream) New wing back/Moses - Kante - Matic/Bakayoko/new CM - Alex Sandro Pedro/Willian/new winger - Costa/new striker - Hazard
  10. If he wants to leave for Atletico but can't until January just play him until then. He is still the best striker we have, even when/if Lukaku signs. Its Conte that doesn't want him remember not that Costa doesn't want to stay (he only wants to leave now hes been told hes not part of managers plans). I'm sure Conte wouldn't be stupid enough to make him train with the u21s, like some are suggesting he should do, instead of trying to utilize him at some point because he is still a great player when he wants to be and I think he'd walk into most of our rivals teams except maybe City and Tottenham. I reckon there will be another twist in the tale yet, I am honestly surprised Man United haven't put a bid in for him considering they are also wanting Matic who seems to be out of favour (which selling to them is a huge mistake regardless).
  11. I think especially now considering that Gareth Southgate apparently wants to bring him in to the England senior squad he has got to leave to warrant a place in there. He has to play every week and it wont happen here unfortunately... he is a good player yes, gets on with it without moaning, made a lot of sub appearances last season and even some starts but that is not enough for him now I'd imagine, especially if he gets bumped up to the senior squad, I think a loan move would be pointless because it will be same situation next year but if he signs a new deal and is loaned it will be better for him, not the club, but hey who knows.
  12. Selling somebody for 20m and inserting a buy back clause great, its going to be 30-35m isnt it? Lol
  13. Just a thought haha. I doubt they'd be interested in Kenedy at all but I don't know about Baba, I still think Baba could become a reasonable option here in all fairness just hasn't been given a chance at wing back perhaps as a back up for Alonso. But Alex Sandro for me is about as close to world class as anybody these days and should be priority this window because he'd improve most teams.
  14. Offer them money and Baba or Kenedy? Win-win situation I'd say, don't think Kenedy or Baba are exactly great players but they could go grow there and become very reasonable players for them.
  15. Would be a good move for him to go anywhere but Real Madrid. Shame to see another talented player go waste their career there because they will always buy and buy and buy although I heard he will have another year on loan at Betis before going to Madrid, so perhaps he could be being seen as an eventual replacement for Modric. It would be interesting to see how he would do here to be fair though, think he is a good talent and can do a bit of everything.
  16. I think its the club in all honesty. Like Luiz. Its an interesting move yes, he has got a lot of goals in the PL but his overall game still makes me wonder, is he going to be able to provide what Costa does? Because lets be honest Costa has gotten a lot of flack at times here but he isn't just a predator in the box he is an aggressive player off the ball, can play with his back to goal, runs the channels, wins a lot of fouls/balls out of nothing, can link well with Hazard/Pedro/Willian were as perhaps Lukaku doesn't have all of that, I think I seen somebody on sky sports say is Lukaku going to be on the same wavelength as one of Hazard, Cesc, Pedro or Willian like an on song Costa is? Or is his back to goal play as good as his? I have the same questions myself, I don't think he is the right fit, Morata is unknown to the PL maybe but he has played a few years in the Champions League, has played at two of the biggest clubs in Europe and ultimately is a winner, having won Serie A, La Liga, CL (fair enough RL probably got a medal when we won it), Club World Cup etc.
  17. I think Kurt can do it, just maybe not as well in the back 3, although playing in a back 4 is different because you have full backs and the emphasis isn't on the center backs to push up and get more involved in the play, like in a back 3. Yet again I think hes not too far away, I think if Gary Cahill or Cesar Azpilicueta can do it, then so can Zouma, its just a matter of coaching him to learn to do so along with the positional sense of playing in a back 3, sure both of them maybe have better technical ability than Zouma but you would hardly say they are outstanding technically, perhaps even tactically (Azpi is I would say), ironically Cahill being English and having played in England his whole career it is more than enough proof to show that somebody can be coached into being tactically and technically comfortable with/without the ball and learn when/what to do while playing in a back 3 because that system is very alien to English football and English footballers 9 times out of 10 will have been educated with a back 4. I wouldnt say all hope is lost for Kurt but his positional sense and technique hinders him in this formation we play, Frank de Boer is an ideal coach to try and help him in that way while giving him the chance of lots of game time.
  18. Move to Palace would be interesting. Frank de Boer is known for having an emphasis on possession and playing out frm the back, I think that would aid his development greatly, de Boer also has used a back 3 at Ajax beforehand but not as much as 4-3-3 but if he can get Kurt on loan there and bring that technical side of his game as well as his composure to another level it would be a good move because I honestly think he will struggle for games next season if he doesn't go anywhere.
  19. I hope we don't hesitate and allow a major rival to sign a hugely talented player infront of us because he would be an excellent addition despite Alonso's great debut season. Only Marcelo and Alaba who are better than Sandro in my eyes.
  20. If we are waiting for the Nike deal to be confirmed before announcing Lukaku, okay fine but I would still be surprised if Antonio Conte wanted Romelu Lukaku over Alvaro Morata. I just don't get him coming here, he isn't in that mold that Conte likes and for anything over 40 million it is a ridiculous waste of money unless Conte absolutely insisted on signing him.
  21. We were linked to Bonucci, Laporte, have Christensen coming back... I don't imagine any of them costing 70m or being inferior to van Dijk? Fair enough we need a new CB perhaps, an upgrade on Cahull at LCB would be nice and Laporte for me would be the best signing we could get in that position but throwing 70m at Southampton for a CB not much better than any we have is ridiculously stupid.
  22. 70M dont even be stupid. Don't see him as a massive upgrade on anything we've got in all honesty, he had a good season at Southampton but I think we will be disappointed signing him for 70m... probably 40-50m too much
  23. I don't think he is the right player for our system, in all fairness, he might be a goalscorer but his all round game isn't as rounded as Costa's or other players we are linked to like Lewandowski, Morata (who I feel would be a better suit than Lukaku), or even Harry Kane although it will never happen. The stats about less sprints and that too is also important considering Conte's emphasis on working hard and defending from the front, when you also consider Koeman is a big believer in emphasizing on similar principles too although I am sure he would buy into it but again his skill set is not that of a Morata/Lewandowski/Kane who can very much do a bit of everything. I think its an odd move for him to come here and not go to Man United in all honesty.
  24. Honestly think it would be a huge mistake to sell him to United and to have him replaced by such an average player like Bakayoko. He is less superior to Matic, fair enough hes younger and had a good season but hes not as talented as the likes of Mendy, Bernando Silva at Monaco and shouldn't be considered as a starter if he comes here in my eyes. Also imagine if United manage to piece Matic, Herrere and Pogba together in their midfield... I really think we should be looking for a player more like Ander Herrera than Bakayoko in all fairness.
  25. Hes shite. Passes when he should dribble/shoot and shoots/dribbles when he should pass. He has regressed horribly in the last few years, his decision making was always an issue but could be talked down to lack of experience a few seasons ago but not now, for a 10 or flair player or whatever it is vital to get those things right and he doesn't, which makes him an average/shite player and the fact Everton have moved to get Davy Klaassen from Ajax says it all. He was their 'crown jewel' a few seasons ago and now they have replaced him with a superior player. We should avoid him at all costs, home grown or not, not good enough.
